Frankly, this Maple Leaf Lounge is definitely on the low end of Air Canada lounges in Toronto, but at least it's here. The food selection is pretty sparse--two soup options (they'll probably be out of one of them), bland pasta, kale salad that has seen better and fresher days, and tortilla chips with salsa & hummus that I have honestly avoided every time because both always look like they're a boulevard to an upset stomach.

They do have a reasonable drink selection, along with the usual bagged tea and Nespresso. There are a few showers, business center, and children's area for the little ones.

The lounge is a decent size, although much of the seating is old and rather outdated. This is the kind of lounge where people end up staking out a spot close to an outlet because there aren't nearly enough of them.

I have been through this lounge several times, and at least once they came over the intercom saying they were over capacity and encouraging people to go to their gates to free up space. I understand space is a challenge when a bunch of arriving flights come in together, but the whole situation was a bit in poor taste.

If you're traveling on a full-fare (fares purchased with miles/points don't count) biz or first class ticket, DEFINITELY go down to the new Air Canada Signature Suite, which is glooorious. Especially by comparison.

The quick 'n dirty is this lounge is here, and it's better than waiting at a gate.

It was a good experience, but just wished that it wasn't as crowded and expected it to look more modern.

The food and the drink selection was great!
The lunch options were tasty and I liked that tit had beer on tap and several coffee options.

Would definitely return for the food and drinks, but let's hope that during my next visit it's not as crowded.

BOTTOM LINE: Huge (but narrow) space, and adequate food.

Of the MLL at Pearson, I'd rate this 4th out of 5 lounges, with Signature Suites taking 1st (obvi), then the AC Cafe (for domestic), then the international one with the more open concept (I believe international only), then this (transborder only), and then dreary, claustrophobic one (I believe both domestic and international).

I came during the busy holiday season, so this place was probably waaaay more packed than usual; that said, bc its narrow design, it only makes accentuates this! That said, they did serve turkey + stuffing, which was a pleasant surprise, and I always get their freshly baked cookies (available at all their lounges).

The pace is actually pretty huge, and incredibly long, so there's ample seating, but the central area, I felt, was a bit wasted with an oddly placed "kids" room (it was more like a glass room where people can watch you from the outside, rather than an actual play room) and a TV room.

At the end of the day, if you're flying to the US, you won't have a ton of lounge selections, and this one should be perfunctory.

Came by the Maple Leaf lounge the other day and it was a lacklustre experience. The lounge is located right after immigrations on the 4th floor.

The lounge itself is dated. The check-in staff seemed bored although they were in uniform.

Food options were available, from hot Korean inspired chicken and sliders to pasta for vegetarians. There was a full self-service bar with beer and spirits along with a fridge full of beverages. Coffee was limited to drip coffee and hot chocolate.

Air conditioning was limited in the lounge although bearable. There was plenty of seating options along with a shower facility. Wifi was free.

This lounge is either hit or miss. I came here a few years ago and the food selection was better and there were more hot food selection. This time it's only few types with typical meatball, pasta and rice.

The plates for the food buffet was dirty. Ie some had rice bits on.

This lounge is usually loud and crowded, and they allow kids running around etc. The quadrant beside where we were sitting had 2 small children and they took up the entire seat portion with kids toys and bags etc. The kids were running around screaming and the staff didn't say anything.

Overall if there's another lounge in your terminal area I'd recommend trying that instead.

Due to a series of mishaps, we were stuck in the airport for quite a while. We went to the lounge, but we were told we can only access the lounge within 3 hours before our flight. We came back 10 minutes later...

There is plenty of seating. It was a little harder to find seats where we could charge though. Some of the charging tables weren't plugged in.

The food was better than expected. I saw the workers constantly restocking the food. I tried the tender butter chicken with coconut rice. I also ate a lot of guacamole with chips and indulged in a soft chocolate chip cookie. There was also a salad bar, sliders, and pasta. The bar was self serve.

The ambiance is welcoming and great. But seriously do they even think about the food? The pasta sauce is like straight from a can of tomato sauce. Their soup is disgusting. The salad bar is doable. Brownies were super dry. You would think they could at least put some effort into what they serve right?!

This location is not as nice as some of the other Maple Leaf Lounges. There is a lot of seating, but the food is terrible. From the dinner buffet selection, there was a cheeseburger slider and a tomato chicken; both tasted like overprocessed cafeteria food (1 star off). The salad bar included some tasteless tomatoes and lettuce (1 star off). The drinks only included 5-6 syrupy sodas and water (1 star pff). There were a few self-serve wines. This is not a lounge that makes me feel relaxed.

This Terminal 1 for US Maple Leaf Lounge is drab, dull and dismal. It was ok before COVID, now it's not worth taking the elevator for other than the bathroom. The showers are closed, which I understand.
If you have time order food from the QR code. It takes time.

Breakfast is better than the all-day offerings. You can get some booze, but that's about all. And booze starts after 11:00 am. They don't even have a decent coffee machine like they used to. Two coffee machines were broken, but one did work for lattes. Another makes coffee and hot chocolate.

The Lounge in Terminal 1 was a nice place to spend a few hours of layover from FCO to LAX. It hasn't changed much since I first visited it almost 30 years ago. The ambiance and physical facilities look like mid-century modern. Food and beverages were above average for most airline clubs today, and we thought the selection was just right. Service was excellent.

This review is for the main lounge in terminal one which has not changed since the last time a I visited 7 years ago. For whatever reason there were no wall or table outlets to plug in devices on my visit. I arrived during breakfast hours and the offerings were two types of breakfast English muffin sandwiches, self serve oatmeal in a crock as well as assorted pieces of fruit, bagels, etc. Getting coffee was a hassle as it is thru a ground bean dispensing machine with Lavazza being the brand but only one of the two machines at the main food area were working. I much prefer the United Club dispenser units for getting a quick cup of brewed Illy coffee. Since we had a 5 hour delay, we had the opportunity to have their lunch fare which was out by 11 am consisting of hamburger sliders which were fairly decent and Korean teriyaki style skinless chicken breast which also was not bad as chicken can become quite dry on a warming dish. An additional star would have been given if they had their electricity in order and perhaps an additional 1/2 star if they had updated the club. Service standards by the staff was very good during this visit. Like a previous yelper stated, the air conditioning only seem to work in one area of the Club and it was fairly warm where we sat. For those flying United they have a mini and I do mean a mini Maple Leaf Club near the 90s Gates with just drinks and grab and go pastries when we stopped by. There is no Hot Food at this location as well as limited seating.
