Affordable Self Storage

I recently relocated from Chicago and needed a storage area for my things. I made the reservation online and was a bit hesitant selecting a site unseen. When I arrived at the storage area to confirm everything, Kathy and the team were very welcoming and accommodating. She showed me a couple of units and I was able to choose one where a large delivery truck could enter and pull right up to the storage unit. They have automatically billing so you don't have to worry about payment.

Kathy checked in with me a week later to inquire about the move; it takes a couple of weeks because of the distance.

Staff is super friendly! Location is great, in the Dogwood area, very convenient to Soma!

This place came highly recommended by my current storage facility in San Francisco for vehicle storage. The location is optimal and free from city traffic. Borris set me up and kindly walked me through the storage process. Albert is exceptionally professional and proficient in meeting the needs of their customers. If you are looking for a secure top of the line vehicle storage unit in San Francisco or even the Bay Area this is the one for you!

I put items in storage here when I was moving out of an apartment in SF and had to stay in temporary housing for a few weeks, which turned into a few months while settling into my new place. When I moved into this and another unit, there was a musty smell that was a dead giveaway there was mold. So I stored everything I could in airtight / water-tight containers.

Obviously I couldn't protect my bike and a few other large items, so before the rains started in October, I stopped by my unit to throw tarps over the other large items. I took photos every time I visited my unit just in case anything happened (theft, damage, etc.)

When I went to clean out my unit 2.5 mo later, the bike, a storage box that had a textured surface, and all of the tarps had to be thrown away because they were covered with mold. I have been recovering from exposure to toxic mold that made me extremely ill, so I am still to sensitive to even be handling such items.

At least the bike got plenty of use before this storage unit rendered it hazardous to my health.

So while you will gain convenience in accessing your items whenever you want, the converted shipping containers have leaks and mold. Plan accordingly.

Three stars for the (seemingly) affordable price and good security.

The name Affordable Self Storage is a bit of a misnomer for this business. It's actually the premium option for storage units on treasure island. It's slightly more expensive than the competition and well worth it. They have better security, staff and technology. If you need 24 hour access the electronic gate access with personalized key codes is both a massive convenience and a smart safety measure. The staff was a pleasure to work with, very professional and prompt to resolve issues. Also, the clientele here is... less dodgy than the clientele at the other places. I should know, I was one of them :)

I stored things for about three months everything was fine until I moved out. It had rained and a box of my important papers got wet had to have them copied which cost over 45 dollars then my security deposit which was to be mailed out to me I still have not received. It's been 2 weeks
They had no problem taking the money but giving it back seems to not be tops on they're priority list. Also my chair was moldy due to rain need to have that cleaned but it's 100 and haven't gotten my deposit back to have it cleaned. So yes 24 hours open but has cost me in the long run. Disappointed.

This place is awesome.
I rent a truck parking spot and a couple of storage units there.

The people in the office are super helpful and friendly.

They are all good things just got mixed up regarding paperwork and whatnot, the late charge I received was unintentionally applied and upon further review was removed, I appreciate the attention they give in regards to their customers concerns

Recently the girlfriend and I decided to take a big leap and move in together. First thing on my honey-do list was to purge crap. Apparently, things I haven't worn in six months need to go? We compromised and decided to get a tiny storage locker. That blender Aunt Ginny gave me 15 years ago is just too cool.

I found their website, entered the size I wanted and picked a move in date. Sara called me back the next morning! That afternoon I came in and was greeted by Albert and Sara. I got the feeling that I could have just shown up, like in the dark ages, and everything would have been fine.

Sara took me out in their little buggy to look at differently sized storage units and then I completed maybe three minutes of paperwork, including a color copy of my CADL.

The site was recently set up so everything is new, clean and flat. This place is worth every penny.

Since then I've been back three times, always after they have closed and I have to say the night guys are just as friendly as the day people.

This place is great and really helps you in all steps to setup your self storage with a very reasonable price. When I walked in after seeing a craigslist post Sara and Laurent walked me through all the steps needed to set me up for success. Super shout out to Laurent who gave me the grand tour around the premise with the on-site golf car and help me finding the right unit with the right lock! He even helped me setting up the new lock! Thumbs up! This is a great and secure place to store your stuff!

Easy access to the storage even at night.
The storage is cool even under a sunny day so no need to worry about heat sensitive objects.
Staffs are friendly

The only worry I would say don't go during rush hours because the only way to get there and back is by the bay bridge
