Affordable Automotive is amazing! I've been there twice and the latest visit was to replace a brake light bulb. They did it immediately and didn't even charge me! I will definitely be returning for future work on our cars. Thank you Affordable Automotive!

I had my cars oil change done here when I moved to Modesto this year since this is the place my wife was taking her vehicle. first time I stopped by, and the business was closed, they told me to go the next day because they were short staffed, I understood and went the next day, had my oil change done. Good experience. Time comes for service again and same thing I stop by during business hours and no one is there, I call and no answer, went home and called again, the owner picks up and tells me that they are busy delivering parts, but to go the next day in the morning, I trusted him since he is the owner. Show up the next morning having to take time off work to handle this and once again it is closed and no one picks up the phone this time when called. You don't play with people's time.

The alternator went out on my truck while passing through town on a Saturday afternoon. Affordable Automotive diagnosed the problem, replace the alternator and had us back on the road in 90 mins. Charge was reasonable. Great car repair company!

First day of a two week road trip and our alternator goes out on a Saturday afternoon! These guys did the repairs quickly for a reasonable price, and were great to deal with. We were on our way in an hour! Highly recommend!!!!

My daughter's 2010 VW beetle had an oil leak that was getting worse. Prior to taking it to the shop I had investigated oil leaks in VW Beatles on the Internet.

When I called the shop said they didn't have time to repair it until the end of the week however I could bring it in and they would look at it and give me an estimate.
Prior me taking the car in the owner told me over the phone that these leaks mainly come from the vacuum pump. This made me think "This guy knows what hes doing " as it is exactly what I saw on the Internet.

After taking the car in they confirmed that the oil was leaking from the vacuum pump. For the amount of labor I thought the estimate was reasonable.

After talking about it with my daughter we decided to fix it on our own. When I went to pick up the car they said no charge and even gave me some tips on how to repair the leak ourselves.

These guys are great. I will definitely bring my other vehicles to this repair garage.

My Mazda 6S, 2003 model car was making noise at the front suspension. I spoke with the owner, Rafael, and explained my concern. The car needed the wheel ball bearing replacement. They changed the front wheel hub assembly and also went beyond and changed motor oil, lube oil, and filters, and now my car runs extremely smooth.

I'm very happy with the service and can proudly say that I have found a local mechanic that I've been looking for in the central valley. Highly recommended, and extremely thankful to Rafael and his team.

My car was there 2 days and NOTHING was done to it, and i was still asked to pay 60 dollars.
Run by a father a few of his sons.
I asked for a tune up and was quoted 325, but then there was an "issue" with the differentials. And my vehicle had been making a "weird noise." Was told that they had to take a closer look at it which meant my car not being returned to me the day I took it in. I ended up renting a car, since I have obligations and happen to have a life...the next day I go in to see what's up. By this time they had my car in their possession for a little over 24 hours. No tune up had been done, and I was given a BS story about a differentials something or other. It's a scam. This particular scan is very common for my vehicle...and I'm female so I'm pretty certain they were just trying to take advantage of me.
I wanted my car right then and there. The front desk guy asked me to pay 60 bucks for "looking at the spark plugs" and I refused to pay. He seemed nice enough, almost like he felt bed and didn't blame me for refusing to pay the 60. Whatever.
I finally got my tune up and paid 130 at a different shop. The differential, and everything else, was/is fine by the way.
Shame on you scam artists. And I had gotten a rental for nothing!

These guys are amazing!!

My gf and I were road tripping in our truck, coming back from Oregon, when we had a water pump fail. Of course being a Sunday every shop was closed but luckily we caught Rafael on the phone and he was super helpful from the get go. The tow company ended up dropping it off the next morning and they got it back up and running that same day and even double checked the rest of the motor after we told them we still had to drive it back to LA.

Rafael and his sons were super friendly and really made us feel comfortable with everything, and the truck ran perfect the whole way home.

If I lived in the area I would bring every vehicle I own to this shop for work!! The shop was clean, the mechanics are professional and knowledgeable, and they charged a super fair price

My wheel was making a vibrating noise I had no clue what the problem was but I knew something was wrong. I took my car and to affordable automotive and within minutes he knew exactly what was wrong. I had a trip planned for the next day with my kids so he did the repairs the same day so we would be safe. After the repairs he shows me how worn down my brakes were and change those as well. His prices are very affordable but his professionalism, knowledge and customer service is priceless. I will continue to bring my cars to him because it's very hard to find a trustworthy mechanic like him. You will not be disappointed

But let's start with I HIGHLY recommend affordable automotive! 5 stars across the board!
The Tuesday prior to thanksgiving myself & my family were making a 5 hour trip. When going through Ceres we stopped to pee and our car would not start back up to leave. We were 2.5 hours away from home & our destination. You can imagine the cost of a tow!! So I took the leap & found this GEM based off other Yelp reviews. It was 3pm and they closed @6 we still
Had to get it towed over. Rafael (owner) right away said to bring it over. When we arrived we were greeted by his son who was very polite and welcoming. I assumed we would be stuck over night with no car. But they pulled a miracle for such a last minute thing. Got us
New starter and back on the RD by 6pm! He saved us
