      I arrived with an appt, went straight back, got my stitches and was out in no time. David and Holly were the Best! I drive 25 min to this location and worth the drive for the care they provide.

      i will never go back to advent health ! they do not care about you ! I walk-in in with a fever i have the flu ! i was in the waiting room with chills and hot flashes I felt like my face was num I couldn't tell if they were chills or my face going num I told the girl at the front desk! after still sitting there waiting dr . levy Sanchez look at me and told me this is not the place for me if I feelimg num he didn't even ask me any questions he told me to go to the hospital! i look at him and said I came here for the flu! I just took my son there Sunday and he had the flu type A! so I knew I had the flu ! Mr levy Sanchez said to me that what you need say ! he didn't check to see if I had a temperature nothing !hr didn't even ask was I ok! do I need an ambulance nothing. ! and when I walk in I check in as having the flu ! I dont like how I was treated ! with him and told the nurse I'll rather have another doctor she told me he was the only doctor there I sat in the back room waiting for him to come back inside the room ! I waited 30-45 min he come inside the room coughing !he act like he didn't want to touch me ! I really feel like it was my race seeing he didn't treat nobody else this way they give me my discharge papers I went to my car. I called the pharmacy to see if my prescription was there. There was no prescription. I went back inside of Vance health, telling him that there was no prescription. She told me that she sent it over I went back to CVS to the pharmacy. They said they never got it, I had to wait 30 minutes to receive my prescription. I'm very sick is unfair ! I wasn't showing any empathy I didn't feel like nobody cared. You know when you sick you look for these things. I will never go back.

      Came in with my 4 month old who had a horrible rash on her face and was sick (fever, etc). Rude receptionist said they don't treat anyone under 6 months. When I asked where I could take her, she shrugged her shoulders. Rude and unprofessional to say the least. I hope your nasty receptionist can sleep at night knowing she shrugs her shoulders at scared parents with a sick infant. Didn't catch her name but she worked Saturday morning 9/4 with frizzy hair.

      I was very pleased with my visit! Check in and registration was all completed via my phone, and my wait time (considering that I was a walk in) was quite reasonable at around 20-25 minutes. The visit was efficient and well organized. I saw APRN, ANCC Johathan Nowak and he was very easy to talk with and listened well and communicated in terms that a lay person could comprehend. Even after the visit, the staff assisted me with an issue at the pharmacy, which I greatly appreciated! We are new residents to Lakeland and it's nice to know that we have a convenient location for immediate care of minor illnesses! Keep up the great work!

      So when I began my check in, things were going well at first. But when I told the receptionist that I'm in the Army and have a Line of Duty (LOD) form that the doctor will need to fill out for me to give to my unit, things took a nasty turn. I'm seeking treatment because my eye is in pain and blurry, and I may have a UTI after spending a week an austere environment, where I had to work long hours outside, couldn't shower, and had to sleep in a tent in the woods. I just flew back home last night. So first the receptionist said they wanted written authorization from my commander for treatment and to call to get it. When I spoke to person in charge of my unit administration, he explained that it's just a form where the doctors fill out the issue and treatment. Then the soldier gives it to the unit to review and the army pays for the medical bill. Then the receptionist stormed off, and brought back another lady who wasn't a physician, who angrily and rudely started berating me about how "this is not how workman comp works." I told her this isn't workman's comp and she kept cutting me off while waving the form saying "yes this is workman's comp. You are trying to do workman's comp without stating on the paper what your injury is". Eventually I just asked for my refund and left. Because they refused to listen to me about how an LOD works, and yelled at me about workman's comp.

      For those wondering: The LOD, AKA Statement of Medical Examination and Duty Status (DA Form 2173) are initiated for all soldiers who die, sustain certain injuries, diseases or illnesses while on active duty. A Soldier may qualify for line of duty care if you incur or aggravate an injury, illness, or disease while in the line of duty (performing ADT, IDT, drill weekend, or any other training while on orders). This includes when traveling directly to or from your place of duty.

      The LOD process will be initiated when a Soldier, regardless of medical disposition (emergency room, urgent care or non-urgent care; hospital admission), sustains an injury or contracts an illness or disease that results in ANY of the following:
      * Inability to perform military duties for more than 24 hours
      * Likelihood of permanent disability
      * Death
      * Medical treatment, regardless of the Soldier's ability to perform military duties
      * Likelihood that Soldier will apply for incapacitation pay

      Q: What are the Soldier's responsibilities to require a LOD determination?

      A: SEEK TREATMENT FIRST! When a Soldier sustains an injury or contracts an illness while in a military duty status, he or she needs to seek medical treatment at a treatment facility before anything else. In the event of a medical emergency, call 9-1-1. For non-emergency care, contact the immediate supervisor or unit commander. A Soldier involved in a Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) will need to obtain a copy of the police report and submit it to the unit.
      -It is the Soldier's responsibility to provide to their unit, the provider signed copy of DA 2173 and corresponding medical documentation.

      How soon after an injury or illness should the Soldier begin the process for an LOD determination?
      A: All injuries or illness sustained while on military status must be reported within 24 hours after seeing a medical provider for treatment. For non-emergency care, Soldiers must report a condition incurred or aggravated while on military duty status within 180 days after release from active duty (AD) or inactive duty for training (IDT), and provide relevant supporting documentation within five working days.

      If you are military, do not use Advent Health. They clearly are not willing to work with you, and instead become pretty hostile towards you when they find out that you are military.

      Today I visited Advent Health Centra in Lakeland FL . First the good news. The little blonde doctor was excellent. She got 5 stars. However , Hailee was one of the receptionists together with another lady. After I told them I opted out of the voluntary patient sharing information form, Hailee became very nasty to me. It was as though she wanted me targeted as a terrorist. Yes it was all white staff and I'm black . Welcome to Polk County Florida folks. She was picking on me fir my mask trying to state it wasn't worn properly, which it was , after which she started to insult potential or new patients via gossiping about them with the other receptionist about their stupidity very loudly. She was creating a very negative atmosphere. I got up and left and and went outside and told I'll wait there because I did not wish to hear that.
      Hailee came out ,and when I told her negatively talking about people hurt my feels she responded " I'm sorry that hurt your feelings" but she never apologized fir her attitude towards the customers she was talking about. She was berating the people who called asking about the Covid tests implying they were stupid. Then she berated my mask and in a nasty tone told me that if I wanted to be seen I'll wear their mask and not mine. This is the same mask she saw me walk into the office with. Overall the reception was cocky, uncaring and gave off negative energy. She sent the nurse with a mask who also seemed cold. The nurse was a bit cold but the doctor scored 100%. So this business is probably good with the exception of the negative speech promoted by Hailee. What can be fine to make the experience better is to educate receptionist to not gossip about anyone regardless of who it is. Or not say anything that creates negative energy.

      This is the business

      Easy to get an appointment. Operation seems to run very efficiently even with minimal staff (it's Sunday). Didn't have to wait long. Covid test swab was the pits but not David's fault lol. He was very professional and proficient. Highly recommend!
