I contacted Advanced Welding and Iron Works, Inc. about rails for an exterior staircase. They quoted what seemed like an good price and I agreed to have them do the work. About a week later they texted me to let me know that the job was completed. I got home to find that they had only installed one rail (which is illegal in my town and not what I asked for). I reached out to them to find out what happened and they said I would have to pay double their estimate to have the second rail installed. I attempted to negotiate a mutually agreeable compromise given that I made my expectations clear from the beginning both verbally and via text message but they refused. They told me that they would be having a lawyer contact me (which will cost them far more than the difference between what they think I should pay and what I consider fair). I wish I would have selected a more reputable company. I suggest you do the same.
