I feel like I have my own personal ADT security guard.
A salesman comes by my house at least once a day to check in on me and my family!

NO STARS! Do yourself a favor and steer clear, ADT is not the ADT it used to be. This local office is HORRIBLE and the 1-800 number is no better. Grab popcorn and a comfortable seat because this one is gonna be LONG. SINCE SEAN, THE BRANCH MANAGER, REFUSES TO CONTACT ME, HEAR ME OUT HERE. I have had nothing but issue after issue since their employee James Bable came to my house and screwed up the installation of my entire system on August 2, 2021. The first issue, I had a front camera and a back camera installed--the back camera NEVER worked. James claimed my internet was the issue, Xfinity came out the following day and verified everything was good on their end. The second issue, Im all of 5'1 in height, James mounted my panel so high on my wall that I had to be on the tips of my toes to utilize my panel. Before James mounted my panel, I asked him if he need me to stand in front of the wall so that he could accurately mark and place my panel. He responded by looking at me like I was insane, followed by a "no". The third issue, James left a wire dangling, unfortunately I did not take a picture, he did not staple the wire to the base of the wall. The fourth issue, instead of James asking me which doors I utilize the most so that he can could correctly place the delay on the respective doors--he put them where he wanted them to be. Since I was still getting used to having an new alarm system, sometimes I would forget to disarm the alarm before opening a door. Since James did not place a delay on the doors I used the most, my alarm would immediately go off instead of having the delay and countdown to give me time to disarm the alarm. I called ADT and they were able to put the delay on the correct doors over the phone--no thanks to James. I contacted ADT and told them about these issues and I hate to wait until Aug 21 for a technician to come out and fix everything James messed up. I also stated to them that I DID NOT want this guy, JAMES BABLE, coming back to my home EVER; you'll find out later in my review that this did not happen. While waiting for Aug. 21 to roll around, my cat bumped a window sensor (also a issue, he put the sensor on the bottom of the window instead of the side, so any bump would set this thing off) and it triggered the alarm response. My alarm stated the issue came from my master bathroom window, which confused me because I know which window triggered the alarm--my master bedroom window. So, Mister James had all my sensors mixed up/incorrectly labeled, Lord forbid an intruder was entering my home--I wouldn't know the correct location!

As far as customer service goes, I am very not impressed. When the technician installed my new system in my home, he failed to remove the doorbell camera and smoke detectors from the contract before he left, even though those things were not actually installed. Ever since then, I have been attempting to get this resolved by dealing with ADT on the phone. Each time, I have been met with the same responses. Either they can't actually see where they are able to help me, or they say they will have the local branch contact me to get it resolved. I have yet to be contacted by the local branch.
Today, I spoke with ADT on the phone again, and after nearly an hour on the phone, the person told me she is unable to provide me with a new contract that shows the items in question have been removed. Why can the customer not receive an updated contract? I refuse to believe that I am just expected to trust that I'm not paying for something that I don't actually have installed. I need to see proof that the items have been removed.
I even asked for the phone number for the local branch that is supposedly responsible for getting the contract updated, and they can't even provide me that. I got the address, and Googled it, but the "local" number provided just puts you through to the ADT corporate line, which obviously has been help at all so far. I guess I just need to go to the address I was given and try to actually speak with someone about his.
At this point regardless of what I feel about the system itself, I would not recommend ADT to anyone thanks to the level of customer service received.
How can this be resolved to my liking? ADT could provide me an updated contract that proves to me that the doorbell camera and smoke detectors have been removed from the account - because they were not installed! That's all I ask!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Disheartening experience with the installation and customer service. Appointment window was between 8-10 am. Due to a company meeting the tech arrived after 11:00 am. (Reschedule appointments out of respect to your customers and your employee who was put immediately behind schedule.)
Five plus hours of installation and understandable tech learning curve time due to a recently released app, the install was completed- or so I thought. Next morning I discovered the tech never replaced the panels in the closet-left the wiring exposed. I called support and was told a technician wasn't available for a week, "can't you or one of your neighbors put the panels back on?" Right-I paid almost $1,000 and they want me to finish the job? These people are predatory once they show up to your house they won't leave until you sign an agreement I asked them to leave two times and they continue to come back I nearly had to call the police to get the sales people to leave!
they would not show you any paperwork or disclose any information about the services you're going to get in writing they simply tell you by word-of-mouth and then expect you to sign an agreement
I've never seen business done in such a fashion The sales people were mean angry and aggressive!
Other companies provide a lock box on your door and give a code to the first responders so in case of any emergency they can gain access to a key to open the door .....with ADT they simply break your door down if there is an emergency and they are not responsible for the damages caused!!!!
They apparently have a new employee a large gentleman with dark complexion and he was very angry and very aggressive and downright rude and nasty!!
And then to top it off for the next three days straight ADT called nonstop from every office in the country absolutely harassing my mother what an absolutely horrible way to treat anyone let alone someone that is 87 years old !Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

As of 11/30/2017, after 4 1/2 years of having ADT service I think I am ready to move on. I was promised certain features with this new alarm system (ADT Pulse) from the telephone sales representative that are non-existent to ADT as a company or if they are it is over $400 for installation and upgrade! I was also disappointed to learn that had I simply unplugged by previous wireless alarm system I could have brought it to the new house for a mere $20/month versus the $60+/month plan I feel I was coerced in now. Not happy! Seeking home security options elsewhere right now.

I can't give them 5 stars because I feel they do have better promotions for "new" clients versus us established ones.
My installation technician today, Nick Stefano (520-904-7154/ nstefano@adt.com) was amazing. I've moved into a new house and he was here to do the installation and set-up. He was polite, explained everything (no matter how simple it may have been) and showed me how to work this upgraded system. He gave me his card with the information above so that when we're ready to install or add anything ADT related he'd come out directly. Went to cancel our ADT after years of terrible service and poor quality alarm products and was told they could drop our rate... mind you I was already paying $50 a month for 3 years. Rate was dropped to $30. After many equipment failures we just decided to go another route. Called and was told we have to give 30 days notice.. so not I have to pay another 30 days for no service and to top it off when we took out the keypad this is what they did in order to hang it. This was a completely new clean wall prior to ADT. Apparently you should always watch over their shoulder... I have one more keypad to remove I am terrified. Save yourself the headache go to Ring do it yourself save money, done right, better service.

I have been with ADT for over 4 years. They did provide good service at the beginning. However, they recently install a new module and the staff did not check out the entire system. I guess this was not in his job description. I later found out that the chime that sounds when a door is open was no longer working. I called ADT, waited over 5 minutes, and a staff helped me with the unit to get the chime working again. Today 06/07/2021 I was sick from work, and hardly had any sleep the night before. I heard pounding at my door and two Sheriffs were at my door because the ADT alarm went off in one of my bedrooms. I had to show them my ID. ADT did try to call me when my alarm initially went off but I did not hear the phone because if was in the kitchen and my bedroom is down a long hallway. I called ADT and spoke to Crystal and explained what had happened and asked why the alarm they installed inside my house did not go off. She could not find where the alarm was located but did indicate that it should be near the control module. I did find a box that was close to the module. She asked me to describe it, which I did. Then she asked me to send her a picture of it but I was unable to download the picture from my phone to the computer. I asked to to send me more sensors that fit on my windows because the old ones are falling off. I called ADT back and Crystal answered. I had her walk me through turning off all the sensors in all my bedrooms. Not once did she ask if I wanted someone to come out to check my system. I guess that was not in her job description.

Nothing but lies. Everyone you talk to has a different answer. They added things that we canceled. All you do is wait on hold to speak to someone and then get wrong information

Do not sign up with ADT in Phoenix. BEWARE to NOT sign up with Defender Security dba Protect Your Home. ADT has no recourse. PYH is a crooked company and force prematurely to sign contract before system review and tedting. My tech, Steve, and tech supervisor Raul will not complete job and respond. Review ALL online reviews. All very true. AVOID at all cost to save on being swindled.
Why is ADT still doing business with PYH and Defenders Security? I think it is disgraceful that ADT chooses money over good business ethics. Shameful.
