6/28/20211 check-inI came in on my own at an hour where the store was completely empty save for a single employee. The pizza was perfectly fine. It was a dollar so no complaints: size wise was a good portion and was better than other $1-2 slices I've had. The sauce was a little tangy and the crust was thick so if that's your preference you'll enjoy it though I imagine if you're coming here for a slice you're not really going for enjoyment sake, just necessity.
The reason for my low rating is because of the service. I got my pizza quickly and all that but I found the employee's behavior very unprofessional and somewhat prying. He invited me to sit at the indoor seating at the back of the store which I had thought was out of courtesy so I would not have to stand but later realized it was so he could ask me a series of highly inappropriate questions.
"Do you have no friends?" I was on my own so that's where the presumption came from likely and I took it as a joke so I wasn't offended by it. I shouldn't have entertained it by responding but I did because I had thought he was only being friendly. He then asked me where I worked, if I lived in the area, what time I got off work, what my name was, suggested I don't work too hard because I wouldn't have time for my boyfriend (which revealed his intentions all along because I obviously had not insinuated a boyfriend since I didn't really answer him), asked if I HAD a boyfriend, then asked if I wanted a boyfriend and if I would have him as a partner. I just left at that point.
Man I was just trying to eat my pizza in peace lol.
It was definitely uncomfortable but mostly just a nuisance and even for a dollar pizza there's no way I'm coming back to this particular location again. - 59165695
2/22/20212 Bros Pizza is one of the most recognizable Sliceria chains in Manhattan. Unfortunately, it has never impressed me. In a city with so many places to get a fast and delicious slice of pizza, I see no reason to stop at 2 Bros. They pizza, for me, is simply adequate. Their slices are not what I look for in a slice of New York Izzy. Of course, this is a highly subjective matter, but I have a particular issue with their crust. I like crust that is doughy with a subtle crunch. I also like the end crust to be big. 2 Bros crust is somewhat cracker like, almost as if it is dry. This is common across all of their slices. Regardless, their toppings and sauces are not bad, I would even say they are around average. With so many great pizza spots nearby in the East Village, I would walk the few extra blocks for great slices at Artichoke Basille's, Sauce, or East Village Pizza.
Cheese Slice (2.5/5): This cheese slice really disappointed me. Their cheese has the artificial texture and taste that I dread. It had none of that chewy and stretchy flavor and texture that I know and love. I also can't get over their crust, it is just too crunchy and dry. It may be the preference of some, but it is not what I look for in a great fast slice.
White Slice (4/5): White Pizza is my favorite slice of all time. It is hard to complicate and luckily their White Pizza is not that bad. If it weren't for the crust, I would give this a higher rating. This mozzarella cheese is better than the cheese found on their traditional Cheese Slice. I still would not rank it is highly as I do other options in the area...
Veggie Slice (3/5): Their Veggie Slice, much like their Cheese Slice, is average. Their toppings are what you would expect and perhaps the portion size is even a little larger than average. You can still tell that the toppings are not of great quality and the crust was just like what I experienced with their other slices. My favorite Veggie Slice of pizza in the area is undoubtedly at still at East Village Pizza. - 2413455
3/15/2021Could be the worst pizza in the city? The cheese is barely melted. The bottom of the pizza always burnt. If you are drunk and looking for a cheap slice, come here. But honestly, the 99 cent pizza shop is a lot better in taste lol. There is just barely any flavor, IDK maybe it is supposed to taste like healthy pizza? These remind me of the frozen Elio's pizza, but microwaved. And Elio's was probably better

2/8/2021These pizzas are fucking delicious! And holy heck these ginormous slices can be shared. I made the mistake of ordered two for myself . Try as it might, and as much as I wanted to finish them I just didn't have enough room in my tummy. This is giant New York pizza like it should be. Only complaint is that service is pretty awful, the workers get impatient and annoyed if you don't make quick decisions lol so make sure you know what you want before you go!

12/14/20192Bros is where it's at for a quick and cheap meal. Not much else to say when a regular cheese slice is only $1. By no means is this amazing pizza but for the price, it gets the job done to fill you up. The slices are a little thicker than your average New York slice. There's a slight crispiness in the crust with a light layer of tomato sauce and cheese. Be sure to sprinkle on some herbs, red pepper flakes and garlic powder for extra flavor.
This is a great location and they're open late so it's especially convenient for those nights out. Store itself is narrow with some standing space to eat along the wall or you can opt to sit in the back where they have a couple stools, benches and tables. Don't expect it to be the cleanest, just quickly eat and go. - 6589523772
4/24/2019I got the $1 cheese slice which was not bad. The dough looks thick but when you bite into it it's actually really soft. I would've still preferred it to be a little thinner but for $1 it's a decent slice of pizza.
They have other pizzas toppings that cost more than $1.
It's mostly standing room but there are also some tables in the back. - 163343549
2/25/2019This pizza is amazing. It is just pure genuine NYC pizza! Coming from Miami this spot hits the spot! great big slices and quick service.
The pizza has great flavor and I love the dough. Everyone here was nice and the restaurant was clean.
Will come back to have more next time I'm in town! - 1056165
8/4/20192 Bros is a classic pizza place - there wasn't too much that jumped out at you, but as soon as I bit into it, somehow the cheesy-ness hit me with a nostalgia that took me back to my childhood. The cheese pizza that I ate was pretty good -$1 and hit me in the feels.
Would recommend for its taste and price and a little trip back to the classic cheese pizzas you would have as a kid at big birthday parties. Loved it
