Stopped in for a cold brew here after a nice long morning run on the Northeast Texas Trail and was not disappointed! The coffee itself was top quality, the service was prompt, the decor was super cute, and the biscotti was the best I've ever had. Highly recommend!

I love 12 Stories, it is one of my favorite coffee shops. The staff are so nice there, and they start conversation as they make your delicious beverage or food. 12 Stories is a great place to work and concentrate, I think you should go to 12 Stories more often.

Some of the best coffee and latte around! We love our coffee more than anything. They're so good we have hired them to provide coffee bar service for our wedding.

Me and my friend saw a lady standing outside and asked "Do you happen to have hot chocolate?" She said "yes we do we had to move inside." So we went inside and asked "Do you have hot chocolate in here?" and he had an EXTREME attitude and after we had ordered talked about us in front of our face saying " this girl really thought it was sold somewhere else, dose it look like it." Me and my friend felt badly treated and will not be coming back to this place and we are just young girls who wanted hot chocolate , unbelievable.

I will not recommend this place because the guy with long hair and a beanie was extremely rude and had a awful attitude towards Me we where at the tree lighting and asked the lady outside the shop where the hot chocolate was and she said it was inside went to ask the guy and he was rude and right in front of my face said what did she think the hot chocolate was sold somewhere else and had attitude and gave us bad looks and it was awful. And took forever.

I love having this adorable coffee shop in downtown Farmersville! It's the best spot to go meet with a friend when you just want to linger and chat. Their hours are great too, I'm so thankful they are open in the evenings.
Now onto the coffee. The coffee is great. It's smooth and not bitter. They make their syrups and such in house, which I appreciate. However, what I deducted one star for is because they are quite stubborn and do not typically allow you to altar your drink in any way. Example: they have a mocha and they have a hazelnut latte. If you request a mocha with some of their hazelnut syrup added, they will tell you no.
This is so silly to me. I've been to other coffee shops where they have done the same thing, so I know they aren't the only ones. But I feel like this was a trend we saw more about 10 years ago, and most craft coffee shops have since become more flexible and willing to adjust drinks to the customers liking. Hopefully 12 Stories will become more flexible in the future because I really am cheering them on and hope they stick around a long, long time in Farmersville. We definitely need them!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jeff E.Farmersville, TX171Jun 29, 2023
Wonderful little coffee gem hidden away on the historical downtown area of Farmersville. Great service and atmosphere with the ability to also get a beer if also desired.

Whew, even small towns are setting the bar high for coffee... this spot has been on my list for quite some time and I finally decided to pop in. It was a bit of a trek - about 45 minutes - but getting to have the experience at 12 Stories was well worth it. The staff was really upbeat and, true to the name of the shop, genuinely wanted to get to hear a piece of each customers story.
As they were making my drink, they gave me a bit of a backstory about their coffee shop and it truly was compelling to hear how they've managed to start/ grow their business during the pandemic, while staying positive and creating an atmosphere at 12 Stories where everyone feels welcome. They've since expanded their business and added some fun live music event(s) on Saturday evenings which is perfect way to create a gathering space for the community! *This* is the kind of coffee shop I think most folks need right now; a place to rest easy, feel right at home, and enjoy yourself.
The front of the store is very bright with a modern feel to it, while the back of the store has a more vintage/ industrial/ back-room parlor feel to it, with plenty of comfortable spaced out seating for getting work done. It's truly a unique set up unlike any I've seen before, which I was grateful to get to sit and soak in!
The drink selection was really interesting. What I appreciated most is their innovative ideas... from de-constructed caffeinated beverages to a wide variety of coffee/ tea options, to specialty drinks made with their home-made syrups, there was plenty to choose from!
I ordered a cocoa-ginger latte, and a honey-lavender tea. I especially enjoyed the honey lavender tea as it was really refreshing. The cocoa-ginger latte was creamy, and you could definitely taste the cocoa notes strongest in the drink. My one critique was that I wish that the flavor profile of the espresso came through a little more on the latte, but my usual go-to order is a cortado at coffee shops so that critique may be due to how my personal taste buds are.
All in all , the shop exudes comfort; the owner(s)/ barista(s) go out of their way to engage with you and learn more about your story which is so rare these days, and their coffee options are one of a kind. I'll definitely be back for the atmosphere and to try the deconstructed latte or barton's cold brew!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
