12/17/2020Yum, yum, yuuuum. We were looking for a low key (and cheap) place to grab a quick lunch and found this gem because it had a steady stream of people going in and out.
After waiting for a few minutes, we were directed to a seat at the huge bar. The menu is simple and we chose a plate of the pan fried dumplings and one of the steamed dumplings. OMG. So tasty. You could have a wonderful meal eating two or three of these plates with a nice beer.
Service is speedy and food arrived quickly. It's perfect for a quick lunch! - Jaclyn C.San Francisco, CA593631
11/23/2020Loved this place. Found it off google reviews for food and so glad I did.
Super reasonable pricing and delicious gyoza. This place was a must go to after I originally visited a few years back.
Steamed or pan fried, both are spectacular. Cash only. Depending on the time, usually a line but definitely with the wait. - 195106173
1/13/2020Easy to pass but it's the only traditional Japanese looking restaurant on the side street.
Great little spot, only accepts cash.
Very limited menu with very little room for substitutions since the dumplings are cooked in bulk in front of you but pre-assembled. Staff was quick and at least 1 person spoke English and has an English menu.
It was a good spot but 4 stars because the dumplings were well done but not out-of-this-World and the sides, again while tasty, lacked creativity or any real zing to separate from anywhere else.
Happy we ate there but wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to have again. - 589312912328
4/23/2019I've forgotten to review this awesome local joint, found in and amongst local winding streets?
One will be sated if he comes hungry. Lovely crispy gyoza up the wazoo.... sit around the bar and watch them cook as you gobble away.
If anything, when I pine for dumplings (boiled or fried), thoughts of the awesome memories come back to me.
Popular and busy.. inexpensive - 454700515479
3/26/2019TLDR: Lots and lots of gyoza served super fast and super cheap.
The main items on the menu are the fried and steamed gyoza, which cost 290 yen (US $2.64) per serving of six. The steamed gyoza felt just like the watery, mushy affair that I'd prepare for myself at home, but the fried gyoza struck just the right balance of soft and crispy.
Seating is mainly at a counter that wraps around the food preparation area. There are also several tables for larger groups that are off to the side. The total capacity is about 30-40.
I didn't encounter long lines when I stopped by recently in the late evening - in fact, I got seated right away - but I suspect that the real action comes later in the night, as this place is open until 4.30am daily (yes, you read that right). Seems perfect for nursing those post-Harajuku-all-nighter hangovers. ;) - Lesa T.Garden Grove, CA2801437
3/17/2020TLDR : cheap, quick, delicious!
This no frills eatery is a must visit! It's nothing fancy but it's good with a home-y feel to it. This isn't the kind of place where you're going to get a full course meal or anything like that. Think more on the lines of appetizers and alcohol. A place where you can catch up and chat with friends.
Our group opted for pan fried gyozas (an order of original and an order of garlic & chives). These gyozas had perfect balance of soft and crispy exterior. All while having a filling that was pretty darn juicy. For 290 yen, you really can't ask for more!
Would I recommend this place? Heck yeah! Delicious cheap eats are right up my alley! - 9337386
5/5/2019We came here to get takeout because the line was too long. For 230 yen, the gyoza were definitely worth the low price point. They were crispy outside and soft inside. I wouldn't say we were blown away, but we were satisfied.
Be aware that for takeout, you can only order the pan fried pork or pan fried chives gyoza. - 600893968
10/24/2018Waited in line for a good while to eat at this place. There's no A/C inside I believe so it can get really hot, especially if you're sitting at the bar.
Sitting at the bar is cool though because you get to see them make the gyoza and pump out all the orders.
I'm not a big gyoza fan so I went for the chicken soup rice. It's just basically rice in chicken soup but it's frickin delicious!!!!
They also do steamed dumplings and there's 2 flavors for each type. - 15127490
9/7/2019Solid gyoza, but not the best. Great deal for the price though. The steamed ones I thought were better than the fried ones.

10/10/2018Gyoza was one of the must haves on my list to eat in Japan. When looking for places, this place came up in my searches.
The place is kinda off the main street and hidden close by. The place was busy when we got there but there were some open seats at the counter. The place is not the cleanest. I wouldn't totally recommend using the bathroom here but if you need to, they have one.
The menu is very small with two types of Gyoza to choose from. You can get steamed or pan fried with the options. The pan fried garlic and leek is best in our opinion. You can definitely sit here and eat tons of gyoza. It is an affordable price and very satisfying. They try to get people in and out quickly though, so you may want to be cautious if a line is forming.
