I recently used GPS moving for my move from SoCal to Tenn and was thoroughly impressed on the care and thoughtfulness they took to wrap tape and bundle all my belongings and carried them to the loading truck with care.
I then received a call from the driver (Jaun) letting me know they had arrived and set up a delivery time for drop off in which they took care to unload and unwrap my belongings the needed to unwrapped.
If I ever need to move again, I will definitely reach out to use them again for my moving needs.

Beware of this moving company! They will give you a good quote, tell you about the discounts they will give you, do multiple zoom calls to do walk throughs of your home and once the truck is packed, then blame you for not being transparent with your goods and charge you way more.
As a military widow, I was working with a budget to get my children and I moved out of state. GPS was in great communication to get my money and I stayed in communication as I got rid of things to offset some cost.
The day of packing and moving, they worked quickly and then once the truck was loaded added another $13k to the price. They gaslit me and acted inferior to me as I questioned their motives and how they run their business. Unfortunately it was literally the last hour, they gave me the option to unload the truck (which they knew I couldn't do because I had to be out of our home) I was backed into a corner and made to feel like it was my fault.
Upon arrival to my new home, the driver was completely rude and immediately asked for payment (I guess this is customary) however it was completely unprofessional to greet me and say "i need payment now"
Multiple goods were broken. Couch cushions stained blue from the crayon they used because as told to me "we ran out of permanent marker so we found a crayon in your kids room", my entire dish set missing, broken indoor cameras, my sons bed parts missing, my bed parts missing, broken chandelier, ruined mattress, broken mirror that I paid $800 more to have crated to ensure it wouldn't break...I mean I can go on.
They offered to pay me .25 per dollar. Of every broken item. This wouldn't have covered one item.
As a business owner, I am appalled at the way they handled this and I even recall Tammy saying "as a business owner, You know the customer isn't always right"
Ummmm no. I don't even run my own business as poorly as they run theirs.
I did try to resolve things through the BBB, where the owner or whoever she is, Tammy, continued to blame, gaslight, and then said I wasn't even present during the packing, which I then told her I could prove with my cameras and documentation that i was there.
BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! Absolutely do not use them.
I should have done more research. The BBB website has some pretty terrible reviews of them along with other people explaining similar experiences.
I'm sure they will try to argue this post or try to have it taken down, but that's what type of people they are. They blame you, the customer, and fail to take accountability for their shortcomings.

We paid 19k from the original quote of 6k for a 2bd2ba apartment with no living room furniture and 1 bed. We were hit with constant hidden fees (quoted storage fee of $100 turned to $500/mo), lost items, damaged items, threats, and shakedowns for more money. Randy Bidetti threatened us and verbally assaulted my family. Tammy and Vanessa have zero accountability for the people they work with and their company's actions.

Randy Bidetti ransomed our items by telling us 24hrs before the move that they needed an additional 2,300 because of the route to our home. They knew our address a month prior and never mentioned it. If we didn't pay, they would put our items in storage at our cost and void delivery altogether. He also changed the meeting time 2x the night before delivery. We had to coordinate with our jobs, our landlord and our babysitter to accommodate an earlier delivery time at such late notice. He told us if were late, it was $300/hr fine . Tammy and Vanessa have no control over their movers. We made it happen, but he was so mad at us that he yelled at my husband and proceeded to break our fragile items. See photos below.

This whole experience was a nightmare. Too much stress for the small amount of items we moved. They completely lost items and broke so much of our stuff (pictures, coffee cups and appliances). No matter what horrible experience they were putting us through, they would just say "it's the other persons fault" or "per contract". Sorry, what? These are your workers and your contract somehow allows you to break our stuff and hold the rest of it ransom. The company will only offer 60 cents per pound of any item broken/lost. So for my children's little tykes picnic table they lost which weighs 9 pounds but cost $100, we could get about $5 for it. Bonus, we still got charged for moving those items.

So far in packing I have found they have lost 4 kettles bells, 4 large horse stall mats, my patio table, kids picnic table, beach chairs, and pots and pans. Completely neglectful. It's criminal how much they lost and how they plan to reimburse us.

We've had many military moves with zero issues and this was the worst experience we have ever had. We will never use a moving company again.

I don't remember how I found GPS Moving but overall, the experience could have been better.

I think moving itself itself is a stressful situation overall. This is also coming from me; where I know that my own personality is a little OCD.

      Timeline:
      - 10/29/2021 - Relocation consultant reached out after I submitted request online
      - 11/11/2021 - I finally decided on using GPS Moving after researching a few other companies
      - 11/12/2021 - Received email for insuring move
      - 11/29/2021 - Just in case - I purchased insurance (followed instructions on email)
      - 11/30/2021 - Movers came to pick up boxes (one of the moving guys dropped a box on the ground; the landlord saw it); I called GPS Moving to note it on file and was advised it was because they had a new "foreman" (manager type person)
      - December and early January - made several calls to make partial payments and get status of delivery (delayed twice)
      - 1/17/2022 - Boxes finally arrived in new apartment; the original "requested delivery" date was 12/28/2021 on paperwork

There were definitely miscommunications even though I tried to stay on top of it with my OCD personality. GPS Moving reserves the right for 21 business days to deliver; that wasn't exactly clear until I started asking a lot more questions.

Since the above mentioned was moving boxes from CA to TX, GPS Moving uses a different Van Line to actually move the items, so you as the consumer are literally out of luck because you have no idea where the items were broken along the way. Extra costs to move boxes from the Van Line (bigger truck to a smaller truck because of the parking lot size) and then running into the situation of final payment made to the Van Line (which I wasn't comfortable with), so I called to make sure I can make final payment to GPS Moving.

Of the items packed, there was roughly $907 of damaged items (with photos and video proof). After several exchanges with the insurance companies, no luck. The insurance company relies on paperwork, but if the boxes are intact and got there, that is what is reflected. Self packed items excluded (even though I purchased a legit moving kit with foam packing). Again - out of luck.

It's now late April - so I think I'm fair in writing this review over the whole process. The total cost of the move was $3500.

Overall - the job gets done, I suppose. I wasn't a fan of the time delays, handling of insurance companies, and me having to lean into my OCD and be a micro-manager type to keep calling and ask the proper questions (partial payments made, delivery dates, status, etc.)

I would give zero stars if I could. Run from this company! Hired them to move two households to another state. They apparently do not check their driver's licenses because they hired a non licensed driver to drive our truck. He didn't even make it out of town before crashing it off the side of the freeway and fleeing the scene leaving all my family heirlooms on the side of the road.
Then they never called me or told me anything showed up to deliver my things and had the audacity to charge me more money upon arrival. Then began unloading all my destroyed and damaged goods! Over a $100000 in damage and we were only compensated pennies to the dollar because of the insurance policy. These people are liars and swindlers. DO NOT hire them!!!

If you can, find another mover!!

What I will say is that the sales folks are friendly. Working with Vanessa was always an easy process. That being said, this is purely a sales team. The individuals who actually work on the move are rude and not helpful.

Firstly starting with the dates. If anyone does use GPS, id highly suggest making sure to follow up with the dispatch folks at a daily level and ensure you have apple airtags in your boxes. They will string you along (sometimes keeping your boxes upwards of 2 weeks) in their storage facility as they figure out who / how to dispatch your stuff. If you call to follow up on when your dispatch is taking place, just keep in mind that they will be rude and give you 0 help.

Once you're lucky enough and have your things dispatched. Keep in mind that the folks doing delivery have no affiliation with GPS but contractors. They have zero clue about GPS policy and what you signed up for. I was overcharged for steps (INSIDE MY HOUSE!!) even though we told them in advance that it was a townhome (with an elevator even). Every time you ask for help, you are met with a ton of attitude from the driver. They are literally not helpful at all.

Overall, if you are moving across the country and have the budget to spare, DO NOT use GPS Movers, use a reliable large company that has the network to clearly track and manage your goods. OR you'll be stuck like me making your bed from scratch (because the packers forgot screws), you'll be following up with sales because you had to overpay, and have to wait 3+ weeks for your things.

As a San Diego resident, I wanted to support a local company like GPS.
A HUGE mistake with GPS. GPS marketed itself as a family company that cared about its customers and was super responsive until the moment you put a deposit down. From that point forward, it went all wrong. I'll list all the issues because giving content to the absurd lies they said throughout the move process borders on malicious management.

      - Zero communication after taking the deposit. I always had to reach out.
      - Didn't provide a custom tv box when I repeatedly asked for that in the quote
      - Sub-leased my move to a National moving company for my across-state move. I might as well have done that myself.
      - Hid behind buried terms of delivery and readily changed the definition.
      - Broke my TV, lost a box, and the wheels to my desk chair. Their answer was to take it up with our 3rd party claims company. They have no liability.

I'll take some blame as this was my first move, and I did not know what to look out for with moving companies. However, the issues I'm listing are deceitful and clearly a lack of respect for their customers. This caused me to lose productivity at my new job, emotional stress, housing instability, and finical loss.

I hope you find a better moving company and your move goes much smoother than mine.

This is a completely honest review. I really like these people, they treated me very well, in fact like family. And accomodated me changing my move date a few times, which I was very thankful.

BUT when it came to handling my possessions they were careless and rough, boxes badly damaged which led to broken items in boxes, totes dirty with black that I had to scrub off.. They broke a table in half. They damaged my 9k bicycle which I paid them A LOT to move and they didn't use a box for the bicycle. They piled stuff on top of my bicycle which damaged the seat and bent the derailer. They said to put a claim in for the damages. I only got a littte over $100 for damages that were far more than that. And that is because they only pay 60 cents per pound on damaged items. And that's why they are cheaper than everyone else. So you should know that before you sign with them. Everything was rushed on move date in signing the papers when they arrived. I gave them sizable tips which I would take some back if I could, seeing how they handled my belongings and their condition when they arrived. I was under the gun to move and should have checked BBB where there are many complaints along with various sites like Yelp. At a frenzied time in my life they put my mind at ease over the phone but it didn't end well.

Would never use GPS Moving again for these reasons. Would pay more money to people who are more profressional and careful. I would rather a company be short with me over the phone and do an excellent job moving my belongings.
      VERY DISAPPOINTED!!

I had a small move, 40-ish boxes, and 3 furniture items. At least three of my boxes didn't make it to me, and the mirror I paid $75 to have wrapped and protected by GPS moving was broken beyond repair. The wrap job wasn't anything special, but they wrapped it in a blanket. No extra padding to ensure the mirror was protected. I'm disappointed that I paid $2500 for such a small move and didn't receive all my boxes, and my $500 mirror was broken with zero responsibility from the company. I only asked to get the $75 refunded for the mirror wrapping, and nobody has responded to my inquiry. Additionally, while the person delivering my items was very friendly, they rented a smaller Uhaul once in the city instead of bringing their semi and then charged me for the Uhaul without alerting me first, so I paid more for my move than initially intended. I would not recommend this place.

I worked with the team at GPS for over a year... starting to plan my cross county move. I absolutely love Tammy, Vanessa and especially...but all of them.. They really went above and beyond for me....It was a very complicated move. I don't believe most moving companies would have been as involved and on top of the situation as this team... especially Tammy....I call her my Tammy!
I did let them know that the crew who delivered the goods were great, however I was not pleased with the packing crew....Tammy has made notes of that to make adjustments.
      Again, thanks Team GPS
