It's coming!!! Will be open REAL soon, down on Southwest Bldv:) Look for it. Wait for it. Anticipate it. It will stand out...it'll be born with a character all it's own...with a local flavor, and years of culminated experience to be unveiled as the vision of none other:) Amongst the Crossroads Art District and a must see on First Fridays.

Just in time for the holidays...!

BISCUITS N GRAVY! These words say it all:) My friends or family and I treat ourselves to a scrumptious breakfast here a couple times a month...usually b4 10AM to beat the long wait that goes on well into the afternoon on weekends. THAT says it all. Located ALSO in the heart of Riverside, MO and a survivor of the 93 flood, here is where it's at over ANY chain restaurant of it's kind. Also famous for it's cinnamon rolls (meal) and homemade pies cooked as you watch. It ain't nothing fancy...just good ole country cooking at it's best:)

Located within Harrah's Casino...a fabulous place to eat, drink, and be merry "country style." The food is plentiful, the atmosphere cozy, LIVE music Friday and Saturday nights or DJ's spinning tunes, Chief's Day Promotions during the season, home of the WHISKEY GIRLS - KC STYLE (as in if you went to the Toby Keith's Concert @ Sprint Center) and even beer pong tournaments.

I take advantage of many meals there a month and the staff couldn't be more attentive and sociable:) See ya there!

Best Art Fair in Kansas City...a historical landmark annual event, which I haven't missed in the last 5 years:) Saturated in KC's infamous Country Club Plaza (which is known all over the country) this art fair produces THE finest accomplishments of up and coming and renown local and national artists. I'll definitely be there this weekend:)

On a side note, the banners of previous years art fairs are for sale and are very cool to collect.

My favorite Mexican Restaurant from as far back as the 80's!:) ...and the place has hardly changed since then. THANK YOU! The absolute best of the best they have continued to provide without exception anywhere to be found is their queso ... which they liberally layer on enchiladas, burritos, re-fried beans or on the side for dipping. MMMMMMM! Authentic? Who the hell cares...as if there actually IS such a thing. It's true to their beginning and is awesome!

Loved it then, love it now. If you don't go...fine. More for me:)

Haven't been to this location...but have been to the one (original one?) in the Northland many times. It's in a beautiful, picturesque setting while waiting the LONG lines for dinner:)

Found this place a few months ago. VERY open and surrounded by tv's and a big screen:) Very much so a sports bar! I discovered today that they play ALL KU AND MU games. Plenty of parking and nestled in the heart of the Northland.

Of their menu...I'm addicted to the spaghetti with garlic bread meal. It's so generous that I haven't been able to eat it all in one setting, so it's two meals for the price of one for me.

Italian and Bar-B-Q are their main entrees. Stop by and enjoy the games...especially when no one else is playing PPV. :)

Definitely a people watching venue:) But I've seen some good bands play there (for free) and watched some fantastic games on the big screen! A roomy relief after being sandwiched in the bars when they get congested:)

So far I saw the Brigade play one of their last games there (and got moved from nose-bleed seats to right on the game floor, courtesy of an energy drink) and just recently Def Leppard, Cheap Trick, and Poison:) with my youngest son.

My only drawback to the set-up is that they funnel ALL patrons who smoke (aka me) into two doors on the main level outside. The fix? If ur gonna do it, do it right! There were 6 doors available. Use them. Other than that...nice place! I'll b back.

I've only taken one opportunity to stay @ the President...:) It was PRE- P&L and "sigh." But, in an awkward hour in the middle of the early morning there was a fire "drill" and we all had to make our way out into the street in jammies for about 15 minutes. LOL Funny now.

I need to stay again some night soon and hang out till P&L closes (for a change) ...just for fun. More memories?
