Well, there was a brief respite from the gleeassault today, as there was a wait 15 or so people for our sandwiches. No hiyas or HEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!s. Just a long wait for my average sandwich.
This place, otherwise being pretty new and empty, hasn't usually been this busy when I've stopped by, and I continue to like it wayyyyyyy better than Subway, and even better than Potbelly's for a quick sandwich. I'll be back SEE YOU LATER SMILE SMILE SMILE HAPPY FACE.

The food is great both in quality and quantity at Al-Khaymeih.
Tasty kabobs, hummus, baba ghanoush, tabouleh, fresh and hot pita, complimentary pita chips with garlic sauce and delicious Lebanese salsa with some great flavors. And complimentary rice pudding for dessert! Service was fast and friendly.
Last but not least, I won't be the first and I won't be the last to say it, but they have
the
best

ever.

Michael's Genuine Food & Drink
Category: American (New)
Being from a great local and innovative food city, Chicago, I have a pretty high standard to meet, and this met it and more. In the food category, Michael's is very similar to the top places I've been.
Variety and good value on the wine list too. I have to say this was the best place I ate on my recent Miami trip, I'll be back next time I'm in town.

My only criticism is that they seemed to be behind schedule for seating reservations (recommended on the weekend) because they had a group of 10-12 that were there forrrever. Your restaurant is quaint and cozy, don't turn it into a party space! (end pet peeve) But seriously, don't do this, small restaurants!
Although we were seated late, they handled it well and comped our first round of drinks. Classy, well handled and appreciated. The pot roast was delicious, and everything else on the menu looked simple, but I have to say our meals were well prepared. Add a couple of glasses of tasty microbrews, and the meal was a winner!

Chiliquiles + Oatmeal Shake (thanks yelp) are the way to go in my book, and my book has great taste.
I can appreciate the friendly service, but it sorta slowed down the whole operation as our waitress visited with her friends at the other table for most of our meal... otherwise really close to four stars, and I could even see this becoming one of my regular spots for breakfast or brunch.
Check it out!

Glenn's Diner

Neighborhoods: Ravenswood, Lakeview
I'll never go back for breakfast with so many other good options in the area.
Corned beef hash from a can, cold potatoes and over-easy eggs cooked wayyy over-hard. Kitchen was verrrrrrrrrrrry slow to get our food out.
It was a beautiful sunny day so we sat outside. The manager was very rude to us when my friend took down the umbrella, which... seemed to be designed to easily be taken down. A simple, "Sorry, we have to keep those up," would have done, not patronizing "Put that back up!" We are the patrons, no need to act like an a-hole, sorry to bother you! My umbrella-lowering-friend lovingly referred to this gentleman as "________ with the ugly shiny shirt" for the rest of the meal. You can fill in whatever pejorative you'd like there, I believe he used them all and I can't say it was unwarranted.
Otherwise the server was fine, and told us (at 9am) unfortunately Glenn's Diner couldn't serve alcohol on a Sunday until 11am due to their liquor license. Ok, bummer but no problem. Server comes back at the end of the meal just before 10am when we're about to leave and says, "The owner decided that we are now allowed to serve liquor, do you want your drinks now?"
The owner decides the liquor law? Please be more clear one way or the other Glenn's, thanks.
So in conclusion, poor food, ok service but unclear on the liquor law, rude management and slooooow kitchen. I strongly recommend skipping their breakfast!
The lamb chops were just ever so slightly undercooked and therefore more difficult to eat (I prefer medium rare and got more like rare), but the mole was delicious.
The place has a great vibe as well, and it really was an enjoyable and relaxed evening even though the place was busy and there was a lot going on - I'd check it out again in an instant.

My huevos locos really warmed me up with their chorizo goodness and a little bit a spicy salsa to wrap up along with the eggs in a hot tortilla provided some heat along with the warmth. Coffee refills kept coming, and by the end of the meal, the blueness of my skin had faded, and I was sated.
Everyone seemed pretty pleased all in all, and although I have had decidedly meh experiences at Kitsch'n in Roscoe Village, I would check this place out again.

Just a relaxed kinda vibe, good looking bakery and pies. The sandwich I got here the other day was a ham and cheese with grilled red onion (not onions). Yep, my only complaint, please put more than one single solitary string of onion on my sandwich next time. Maybe they donated the other part of my onion?
Regardless, seems like a chill place and I will likely be back.

A-ok standby, if you're looking for a quick meal I'd say skip the chains up the street by the mall and just stop at Omega.
