Excellent service and panchan.

The yukkejang was pretty tasty with a nice seaweed based broth. Kalbi was fine, but hard to eat off the bone sliced the thin way. Dolsot bibimbap was pretty standard as well, but you should let the rice sit a bit more to get crispier. The complimentary seafood pancake was delicious, cooked really well with plenty of seafood.

Quite a deal for all the food.

Awesome boat noodle soup, better than I had in Thailand.

Thick broth, proper thin rice noodles, plenty of veg, meatballs and tender beef, with a bit of pork cracklings to boot.

This is the old Racha Thai location, and they still serve the Racha Thai sauteed calamari I had frequently when I was a kid. That dish totally brought me back.

Wow!  Fried chicken banh mi!!

3 patties of fried chicken! Pate, pickled veg, mayo, crusty bread.. this sandwich was delicious. And for $5!

The traditional vietnamese banh mi is huge as well, packed to the gills. It was delicious in its own right, but the fried chicken just took it to another level.

Man oh man, it's gonna be hard to convince me to get any other sandwich around here. Seriously.

Great yakitori, with an intimate and lively ambiance.

They grill over traditional binchotan here, which is hard to find in SF for some reason. Surprisingly, the okra picked up the most binchotan flavor. But they have a really good selection with all the chicken innards, cartilage, and skin.

Kakuni was really good and they have a wide selection of other small dishes, similar in variety to Sozai.

Their shoyu ramen was nice, but simple and they also have a pretty interesting savory black sesame ramen.

Ippuku is still tops for me.

Another solid sandwich spot, close to where I grew up. I used to come here back in the day, but had to refresh my memory.

I got the turkey club on dutch, toasted. Good bread, and nice ratio of ingredients. Generous on the avocado, and didn't feel too stuffed from the Junior size $7.99.

Old school spot, they've been doing it for years and still do it well.

Solid sandwiches in the Mish.

Real turkey here, no deli slice crap. Toasted bread, and their dutch crunch is on point by the way. Their mojo sauce is delicious, and sammies comes with banana peppers by default.

Online ordering. All bases covered.

Yes, I'm coming back.

It's been a while since I've had pho that actually tasted like it was made from scratch. While not the big beefy flavor you've come to know, you could actually pick out the subtle nuances in the broth, a hint of clove, the light handed fish sauce, etc.

For $7.75, the dac biet bowl was tasty and satisfying, good amount of well cooked beef and noodles.

They also have banh mi and from the large menu, I also spotted hainan chicken, which I might try next time.

I'll be back to this humble mom and pop for sure.

I tried the tacos in the back of this small Mexican grocery store. The handmade tortillas are what drew me here, but come for the awesome chicharrones, 3 kinds to boot.

I had 3 tacos with handmade tortillas. Keep in mind that the tortillas are quite thick and filling, much thicker than my favorite ones at Poc Chuc. Two tacos would have been ideal. I tried al pastor, roast chicken and chicharonnes, my favorite being the chicharrones. The tacos come with your choice of beans as well. I wouldn't mind a bit of salsa on the side though.

Outdoor seating, so come on a nice day and enjoy!

New "Southern" restaurant in the old Azul spot.

Complimentary cornbread with honey butter was tasty, nice start.

Mac and cheese had al dente pasta, but the cheese could have been cooked more for texture.

I had the burger which is a mixture of lamb and beef, comes with a fried egg by default. The patty was too lamby and salty, didn't really enjoy it. Plus the patty itself didn't seem like it was ground as finely as it should, so my medium rare came out sort of raw and unevenly cooked. The fries weren't crispy either so I didn't eat too much of this.

Had a taste of the fried chicken which was good, crispy batter and well seasoned meat.

SF Weekly had this as one of the top ten burritos in SF.

I tried the al pastor and found the burrito to have really good construction, with a perfect ratio of ingredients. Al pastor itself, was a bit different than what I'm used to but (more assertive spicing), but I liked it.

Nice salsa bar, free chips.

Will be back to try the other meats.
