All You Knead

The service was friendly and helpful, and I enjoyed my meal.

I love BLT sandwiches, and every time I eat in a diner I have to fight off the urge to order one. As a result I've eaten a lot of BLTs in my time. Well, I succumbed at All You Knead, and the sandwich was great, probably the second-best I've ever had in a restaurant. The bacon was high-quality and cooked to perfection. I also had a bowl of the French onion soup, which was very satisfying.

Great classic diner food!

Crepe Express

It's a little pricey for the amount you get, but I can't argue with the quality. I had a crepe with nutella, and one with ham, cheese, and mushrooms, and both were quite good. I recommend doing what I did: go with a friend, order a sweet crepe and a savory one, then split them.

I got pho here and was unimpressed. It wasn't bad, just ...unexceptional. it's hard to screw up pho, but this was no better than it had to be. Maybe I should have gotten a sandwich instead?

What *was* bad was the service (slow and surly) and the condition of the restaurant (cramped and dirty). When my friend went to the restroom, there was no toilet paper and she had to ask for napkins. By the time I got there, they had found the TP, but it was still pretty grimy. Also, they forgot part of my order (the coffee).

I haven't tried the other Vietnamese restaurants in the neighborhood, but I would be willing to bet that at least one of them is better than this place.

I really enjoyed my dinner here. It was packed full, but we only had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated (and it would have been considerably less if our party had been smaller). The service was a little confused at first, but not about anything important. We had to ask for water 3 times and somehow wound up with 5 glasses for 3 people. But they made up for that by bringing our food incredibly quickly.

And the food was wonderful. The sesame chicken was, as other commenters have said, the best I've ever had. I would also recommend the house noodles. I would even recommend the melt-in-your-mouth fried calamari, and this is coming from someone who has a pretty strict "no mollusc" policy (exceptions usually involve chowder with bacon).

All-in-all, it was an excellent experience. Contrary to what other commenters have said, despite the packed house and high turnover rate, I never felt rushed. And after a few communication difficulties were resolved, the service was quite good. The prices are not terribly cheap, but for what you get, it's a fantastic deal.

One note - all the dishes I had were very heavy on the garlic. This wasn't a problem for me, as I love garlic, but that might not be the case for others.

$8 got me an incredibly delicious carnitas burrito that has lasted me for 3 meals. I'd call that a pretty good deal.

I can't claim any great knowledge of Moroccan cuisine, but the food was terrific. The reason I'm giving it 5 stars was the attentive and generous service, which helped turn an awful evening into a very good one. (The server even gave us a discount when one of our party was stressing out about money.)

I knew it would be good because the prices were dirt cheap and I was the only one there speaking English.

For $5 I got a a lot of food, and all of it was great. My carne azada was delicious, as were the fried potatoes and onions that came with it. The guacamole and pico de gallo were very fresh, as were the tortillas. Actually, the tortillas were so fresh off the pan that by the time I had walked home (I got take-out), they were still too hot to touch.

A great find - I'll definitely be back.

Dr. Leonard has been my dentist for many years and I've always been happy with him. Both he and his staff do great work. The office is always clean and cheerful, and the people who work there are friendly and competent without being phony.

I have a bit of a dental phobia, but Dr. Leonard is so gentle and has such a good manner that he puts me right at ease. Smokey Point is out of my way, but I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Denny's Restaurant

Denny's is... well, it's Denny's. The epitome of "good enough". This Denny's is like all other Denny's. I'm convinced that Denny's occupies some sort of temporal and spatial anomaly, and that there is really only one Denny's that exists simultaneously next to every freeway offramp, locked in a perpetual 24-hour cycle of mediocrity.

I spend far more time in Denny's than any person who isn't working there should. I live in Everett and I am generally up all night, therefore I go to Denny's. There really is no other choice. Sure, there are plenty of depressing bars around I could hang out in, but what would happen at 2 AM? I'd be right back to Denny's.

The grim inevitability of Denny's is wasting my youth and crushing my dreams. Woe is me.

My knowledge of the menu at Yasmine's is somewhat limited, because once I tried their gyros I was never able to talk myself into ordering something else. You can get a lot of food here for cheap, and it's all cooked and spiced to perfection. My mouth is watering just thinking about it...

For dessert, try their baklava or rice pudding. You won't be sorry.
