Really fantastic experience. I contacted Dublin Animal Hospital after calling a couple other vets. I needed to get my pup seen for blood in her urine, as well as shots. The other offices I called did not seem very concerned and offered me appointments almost a week out, but Dublin Animal Hospital was trying to get me in as soon as possible. They were so committed to getting my Simone (my pug) seen that when none of their times worked with my packed schedule, they said I could drop her off in the morning and have her seen during an opening the next day, then I could pick her up after work at no extra charge. Fantastic!

My husband brought her in and picked her up and said Simone was very comfortable and everyone was real friendly. They treated her infection with antibiotics, trimmed her long nails that she won't let us touch, got her annual exam done and updated her shots for a bargain. Highly reccomended vet office for you pets!

I have been a member at VillaSport since it opened and although pricey, I am still really happy with my membership. This gym has top-of-the-line equipment, classes, and amenities. Their locker room is fully equipped with electronic lockers, hairdryers, swimsuit dryers, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, q-tips, lotion, hairspray, deodorant, and even mouth wash! I love having access to a sauna, steam room, and whirlpool inside the women's locker room for privacy, in addition to the inside and outside hot tubs near the pool.

My only complaints over the years are due to inconsistent information from different staff members regarding sign up fees, policies for kids and things like that. My son couldn't use the pool without me present until he was 13, which I think is a bit old. The Y and any of the other city pools allow this, but he's 14 now, so not a big concern to me anymore. :) At 11 and 12 though, kids are at an age where they don't want to be put in the kid's daycare anymore, but aren't allowed to use the other areas of the gym.

Overall though, this place is top notch!

A friend surprised me with a spa trip to Mateos and I am in love. The ambiance was instantly comforting, with dimmed lights in waiting areas and comfy chairs and blankets. I had a swedish massage that left me relaxed and a facial with some aromtherapy and a steam mask that was really relaxing and left me glowing. I can't wait to return and try some of their other services.

Colorado Springs super-needed this place: fast and cheap a-la-carte BBQ. Their moist brisket is tender and juicy, and their weekend prime rib is excellent! I really like their creamed corn and corn-on-the-cob, although I think the rest of their sides are a bit forgettable. This place is the perfect spot when you want simple BBQ, but don't want to mess with a sit down kind of place and the prices that go with it.

Yum-Fritz! That's what I call this place! I've been to Uwe's and Edelweiss and can assure you that Schnitzel Fritz has the best of the german salads. Their schnitzel and spaetzle are both good as well. I especially love their deli and grocery options as well. Our happy tummies went home with some fresh pretzel rolls and a plethora of german candies (I think they have every flavor of haribo in existence!). Who knew a suburbian strip mall would be sportin' such good eats! My only complaint is that I wish they were open more hours!

I have fallen out of love with the Mop Factory. The first couple times were really great, but I fear the staff is now unconditionally married to the Deva Curl line, and I'm not such a fan. I went to my last visit with my long hair pulled back in a tightly wound bun that I had also worn the day before. This is usally how I show up at a hair appointment since I know I'll be getting a wash and cut from there. Andee explained that her new Deva training has her cutting hair dry, so she just undid my bun, left my hair hanging every which way with different kinks and lengths in it and began cutting. The whole time she was cutting she seemed pretty distracted and I often felt like I was a customer at the barber shop on "Coming to America," where the barbers are just snipping their little scissors at random while talking away. My cut looked about that great. Andee then asked me if I wanted to leave "straight or curly." I chose straight and she just blow dried it randomly with out putting any style in it. I don't think she knows how to do a salon blow out. At this price range, I expect better.

When I got home I re-straightened my hair as I normally would and found that the whole top, back layer was cut with an uneven slant, many pieces were cut bluntly rather than textured, and my bangs were too short and 4 differently lengths. Really.

I am super-super bummed and will be finding another stylist in the future. Hopefully the Mop Factory diversifies their training a bit. Deva is not for everyone.

There are not many places that I visit multiple times without having a particular favorite dish on the menu. Carlos Bistro is one of those places because I can always order the special (or really anything on the menu) and know I'll be overwhelmed with the goodness of my meal. I have been here for lunch several times and it is always fresh and delicious, with the most friendly service from Carlos and his wife. Carlos truly loves his work, loves his business, loves food, and loves his customers. He matches his fantastic food with equally fantastic service. This restaurant is fabulous. Truly the best of the best in the Springs.

I'm rounding up to 3 stars to be kind. I really love the idea of Opb&j. The shop is clean and modern and the varieties of peanut butter and jellies really are delicious. I just can't seem to wrap my mind around paying at least $5 for a pb&j sandwich. I say at least because any additions of fruit hike the cost up another $1. That's all without drinks or a side either. I've been here twice and spent around $9 each time for a sandwich and a cookie - no drink.

I also think the bread choices are a little lacking. I have tried 2 different breads, and both times they were so thick and dense that they became the stars of the show, rather than the filling.

I so wanted to love you Opb&j, but it just isn't going to work. Maybe we can still be friends one day...

Repeat visits make Shuga's earn all 5 stars! I really do dream of that spicy brazilian coconut shrimp soup. So ridiculously good.

I too have to knock off a couple stars for dogtooth based on the service. I really loved the idea of this shop, and the atmosphere is very nice, but I felt bummed after waiting literally 20+ minutes for my drink with only a person ahead of me. A couple teenagers were running the place and seemed really annoyed to be bothered with serving drinks. I know this is especially true of one of them because he spent a good chunk of time complaining to his friends who showed up and cursing about it. Also, when I finally did get my latte I noticed the drink wasn't marked as nonfat, as I had ordered it and my server didn't announce it as a nonfat latte. I asked him if it was nonfat, as I had ordered it, and he gave me a real blank stare, paused uncomfortably and then hesitantly said yes. Not so much... Being from the northwest, I REALLY want to like the local coffee here in the springs, but these shops are really making that difficult.
