I go to Gordon Biersch occasionally to relax, watch the Lakers or college football, and have some chit chat with my friends over some beer and their classic Garlic Fries (a perfect place to do that). This bar has a somewhat quiet atmosphere compared to that of his neighbors BJ's which I'm always tempted to cross over to if not for it's long wait due to their bustling young crowd. Gordon Biersch on average, I would say, attracts those between the ages of 25-30+. Service here though is pretty good. I mean, it doesn't take long to get beer out of the tap and cook me up some garlic fries. I ALWAYS order the Marzen or the Hefeweizen. They're DE-RICIOUS.

This place is dark, the restaurant portion is pretty big. They have flatscreens from all angles so that you don't miss the game. I had dinner there once (steak combo) but twas mediocre. Nothing spectacular as they're not particularly known for their food besides the garlic fries. It took a while for the food to actually get served.

All in all, Gordon Biersch Brewing is a nice place to just chill out and have a cold mug of beer or two. Parking is small but there's a valet that attends to that.

Ordered their Scallop and Caterpillar roll (like always). Typical I know but still SO good. If you plan on feasting here, remember..... the Scallop Roll. Never forget...... the Scallop Roll. The hot scallops are drenched in cream and littered all over the dish. It melts in your mouth and really blends so well with the other ingredients but of course, the scallops are the center piece of THIS dish so, if you're a "heavy on the sauce" type of person like I am (and even for those who aren't), it'll be worth a try. And an authentic Japanese dish is not so authentic without the Sake.

This is one of the best small burger joints in the valley. Their fries are simply delicious (No lanky fries here), so are their cheeseburgers. The ingredients in their burgers blend so well that it makes it extremely difficult to describe. It's not too well known since it's storefront is somewhat easy to miss but it's not too far from the Northridge Mall. Its popularity has steadily increased over the years and once you chow there, in all likelihood, there's no turning back.

If there is a way for a hamburger to taste authentic and unique and blow all the other more well known burger joints out of the water, King's has found a way.

Oh barf! I consider myself to be an extremely healthy individual with no history of allergies whatsoever. I can eat most anything w/o a pulse. My shock came to me one evening when I ordered a few rolls and walked out of that restaurant with a massive, numb, tingling, swollen tongue dangling out the side of my face.

Oh jeebus. Sushi house. Where do I begin to express my disappointment? Had it not grown so popular over the years, and its quality massively declined, I'd have rated it 4.5 stars. However, that is no longer the case. The portions got smaller, the Japanese chefs disappeared, the rolls are bland. It's still cheap, easy on the wallet and currently in other much more displeasing ways. Well, it's crap compared to back in the days. This is the typical tragic exemplar of a great sushi house gone chain restaurant.

Btw, expect to wait in line. Despite its decline in quality, Sushi House still has a grand following.

Maybe it's because I love Berkeley so much that I gave it the rating that I did, but I also remember enjoying that cup of frozen yogurt. It's refreshing, light and perfectly sweet (well, the one that I had). The view from the shop is less than mediocre. It's near campus and looks like a hole in the wall. It's a 'grab it and go' atmosphere. Pricing is excellent and portion is good too.

It's not that great. I know there are die-hard fans out there, but it just doesn't suit my taste all that much. It's light, somewhat sweet and very tangy. It's a strange mixture in my opinion albeit unique. Sure, it's refreshing on sunny days, and it doesn't make you feel all gross inside once you've consumed the entire cup of frozen yogurt and fruit toppings, but personally, I think it's a bit overrated. The portions however are excellent and pricing is okay. There isn't much to say about Pinkberry. I'd say try it for yourself if you're part of the 2% of the US population that hasn't already.

Yay, my first review! As for food quality, well, it's Dell Taco. What do you expect? However, its hours are best for late night bingers and stoners and gets 5 stars. Their soft chicken tacos are a classic and I rate it 4 stars. The rest of the menu, i rate it -2 stars.
