The Whole Ox

This is what I have been waiting for. I have been in Hawaii for many years now and have always had a soft spot for establishments that could mimic my East Coast upbringing. The Whole Ox is truly tops in this category.

I love the decor and first impressions go a long way. It's authentic but modern, realistic but artsy and fashion forward and yeah it's Orange... a huge plus in my book.

The food here is amazing, It taste so fresh and full flavored. Everything seems to be made with tons of love and home-cooking like passion. It totally reminds me of the Deli I worked in as a kid. The aromas from fresh cuts and pickles.

I cannot wait to return and taste more dishes.

I have been recently exploring new ways of getting more creative and being even more productive. I was lucky to have Stanton cross paths with me and I was intrigued by her insights and energy. I went for my reading and clearing and found her to be extremely helpful and accurate on things I know I've never shared with anyone.

I strongly suggest people go see her and see whats holding you back from reaching your full potential... you'd be surprised. Now before you go off being too smart for psychic or metaphysical practices, ask yourself this question... Is what you're doing right now working for you so well that you don't need help. I think the answer is always no. Just go see Stanton.

I have been seeing Dr. Steve for just over a year and my knees feel great. After many surgeries and painful recoveries I decided to try chiropractic therapy.

I was a little unsure and sceptic to say the least but Steve was very reassuring and his adjustment can sometime give you instant results. I have gone in in pain and left ready to debute on DWTS. Steve always makes you feel comfortable and explains his process thoroughly; although, it will be sprinkled with some pretty dry humor. It almost like watching a bad British SitComs on BBC. The bad jokes aside the treatment is always stellar.

I am very happy with my results and now I enjoy riding my bike without pain. I highly recommend visiting Wellife.

Mission Houses Museum Cafe and Tea Parlor

I love tea and all the great things it brings to life. I poked(no pun intended) around drinking teas all my life but never really became an aficionado until I lived in Japan for school. Upon my return with my new found ambient awareness I found the tea community in my backyard of Honolulu.

Ok, as a guy it is hard to find anyplace that won't make me feel weird for being a steeper.  so much to my surprise when I found Mission House Tea Parlor as a result of a tweetup.

the teas are awesome and the food adds a nice touch. With the backdrop of Historical Hawaii you can't go wrong.

Minus the extra dainty cups and teapots they let me enjoy my many teas whilst keeping my Man's Man Machismo in tact. I highly recommend it.

Look this one is for the homies.

Fellas as you get more experienced (yeah so OK I mean older) you will start to grow some serious eyebrows. Ya know the bookshelf joints that look like nori on your face... right.

The Solution is here... Manscaping by Alison at Kiss & Make Up.

I think this little lady gets a bit of a rush by causing pain on big dudes like me but my brows have never looked so cute... um oops I mean...nice. No more Captain Lou Albino braces rubber bands on the eyebrows just to keep them out of the eyes. My Cookie Monster days are over.

Here's how: Take your GF for the treat of getting eye brows done and while you are there play it off like you are scared and too butch to get your eye garages done. Keep insisting "Imma Man.. I don't need my brows done" (puff the chest up a bit first though... chicks digg this) then when they keep egging you on (and they will)... give in quietly and tell the GF it is only for her because you love her so much you'll let yourself get punk'd for her. Trust me this plan is bullet proof and you will have GQ brows in about 5 mins or less.

If you are single just get'em chopped asap it will certainly step your game up. The ladies don't like forehead hedges son. While you are at it get the nails cleaned up too.

I go to see Alison like twice a month and I always get compliments on having nice eyebrows... then I get to say...  Yes "I'm man enough to get my Manscaping on"

#Aloha

Da Kitchen is absolutely off the hook. The food is so good here and the portions are simply put EPIC.

Listen if you are looking for the worlds most healthy food then forget it and don't write a review about how Hawaiian Plate was fatty... duh Hawaiian plates are supposed to be fatty that's why it's so damn good. Really though there is always Down to Earth around the corner if you want lean vegetables and fake meat.

Now for those of us who want to indulge themselves once in a while or eat like a King everyday.. this is your new home. If tried the Fish and Chips, Onion Rings, Fried Spam Musubi, Chinese Chicken Salad and Pupu Tofu.... yeah I had to pretend I was eating healthy with the last one... and I have never been disappointed.

I'm saying yo need to go now before they get as popular as the Maui location where you'll undoubtedly wait an hour for a spot. Get it while it's fresh and new. Great Home Cooked Meals, Nice Atmosphere, Awesome Value and my goodness the Hottest Waitresses can all be found here.

Save some room for desert is possible, the deserts here are almost as lovely as the waitresses :)

When you go ask for the "Doc Rock Fat Boys Know Good Food" discount... it probably will not work, but if people keep asking maybe they'll finally give in and hook us Yelpers up.

The Challenge at Manele Golf Course

The Challenge at Manele Bay is one of the most beautiful golf courses in the world. This oceanside 18-hole, par-72 course with over 7,039 yards of pure excitement. Designed by Jack on Lanai's beautiful coastline in the red lava fields overlooking Hulopoe's Bay. I don't have to explain which Jack right...yeah that Jack... Jack Nicklaus. You can't go wrong in a house that Jack Built.

If you came here be prepared to have a blast and if your really want to challenge your self there are black, gold, blue, white and red tee boxes for you to choose from with huge ravines and the Pacific Ocean as a water hazard. I say you may wanna bring your A game or a lot of balls... literally and figuratively.

Denending on what time of year you come to play here you may have some aquatic company in the bay to wish you luck. The winter months are blessed by the Humpback Whales playing in the bay as a backdrop to your golf game. Other times you may have dolphin pods to cheer you on from the gallery, or maybe they are laughing, I know what it sound like but since I'm not Ace Ventura, I don't speak dolphin. No it really sounds like laughter I swear. May it was the wild turkeys.

They day we were they was an awesome ocean side breeze and the most picturesque day to be standing on the same 12th hole where Bill Gates got married. You can complete your gold mission with a killer lunch in the 19th Hole but that is a entirely different review

Not if you come to Lanai when you come to Lanai make sure you save time for golf at The Challenge at Four Seasons Lanai at Manele bay.

Surely one of the most picturesque lunch spots in Hawaii.

The clubhouse at The Challenge at Manele Clubhouse is beautiful, calming and quiet.

I had fish and chips while watching Dolphins play in the cove in front of Sweetheart Island.

Fish was perfectly cooked and served with a lemon caper tartar sauce and the best crispy fries i've had in a long time.

If you are on Lanai for Golf or just want a great meal come to The Challenge at Manele Clubhouse.

If you really want to find paradise, yes even if you live here in Hawaii, you have got to come to Koele, Lodge.

First of all the place is just beautiful. Then you'll get to meet the staff as they welcome with some genuine Aloha not just the brochure smiles.

We had a business dinner here is it was amazing. I was super excited when I looked on the menu and found Chimichuri Sauce that I could add to my choice of Meat, Fish or Fowl.

I tried Risotto, Field Greens, Duck Muscovey, Grilled Chicken, Gratinated Potatoes, Roasted Apples and 3 great wines.

This is a must do place to eat and visit.

I've gone ot Sansei on Oahu like a million times but this was my first time to try the Maui version. I was not let down.

This place still rocks in it's smaller Maui location.

Really stop reading this review and just go there, but wait, make certain you save room for the fried ice cream. That was for sure the best part of the experience.

The Sake was good as well and because i was not feeling 100% I had a small carafe of hot sake (atsukan) also super good and really hit the spot.
