The beet salad plus bacon and avocado was fantastic! The service was stellar! You are just a gold nugget!

Thank you for the kind words Rachis! We hope to see you again soon.
I love the Rowley Inn! Their chips and salsa are sooo good! I grew up close by and it's my 'go to' when I'm back in the area. The bowling machine was recently removed to make room for more seating (good move). Fast and friendly service!!! Local beer by the glass or flight. LOVE the Avocado Toast! The pierogie's are tender (try the herb cheese mixture). The food can take a little bit as everything is prepared fresh.
Growing up in the 'hood' Rowley was the place to go. Happy to see that the new owners are doing it proud. It isn't a big place, with a big kitchen, so the food does take time. Grab a table, get the salsa and chips with a beer and you'll be fine. Portions are nice, the nacho's could do with a little more toppings. Burgers are fantastic, especially at 1/2 price 'happy burger hour'. Anything we've tried to brunch was fantastic.
There is nothing that pleases me more than the smell of a book. This place was AWESOME!!!!! I went for the books and enjoyed the beer. I love the vibe and felt quite at home.
It's a really unique and cozy place to spend a couple of hours.
I doubt I will return. My husband and I sat at the bar where the bartender was playing on his phone all night. In two hours, I was able to get his attention for ONE glass of wine. Epic failure on service.
If you're a wine drinker, better order a bottle or you may go without a refill.
Sad.
I absolutely LOVE Jo Jo Carloni's. I don't care for my eggplant super crispy, so this was perfect for me. Those of you who want it crispier should use your 'voice' and order what you prefer.
The pizza's sauce was just right for ME, but my husband thought a bit too sweet. He dusted it with a few red pepper flakes and good to go.
Great half-price wine nights, so take a couple of girlfriend's.
We spent 8 nights at this hotel. It must have been recently redecorated as it was nicely done and 'fresh'. Due to Covid, we only had room cleaned once and just got fresh towels daily. I did find it odd that we were told we could not sit in the lounge to enjoy a take=out. The bar/restaurant was closed and there were no people besides us. Ok, not a big deal. I wish the chairs in the rooms were 'armless'. They are so close to the bed, it's difficult to get into them. Must easier to just sit on the bed and eat.
I found the reception to be friendly and helpful. VERY close to the Metro. There are two small markets close by to get an inexpensive French rose wine and a couple of beers. Nice selection of pre-made foods also.
We ended up in the middle of the 'NO to Health Pass Sanitaire' protest, but it was interesting to watch once we got back to our rooms. They had 'locked' the interior doors for safety. All in all, it was a good hotel!
