Pint Size Bakery & Coffee

My new favorite bakery in St Louis, and I'm a baker! The owners are really sweet and the choice of goods are amazing, as well as decently priced. Love the potato chip cranberry cookie, as well as their chocolate chip muffin! The red velvet was good and the triple chocolate cookie is rich and delicious.

My friend and I stopped by here and stocked up for a sugar-high brunch and it was totally awesome. We pretty much loved everything we got. My only complaint was that I like my sugar cookies slightly chewy and these were very crumbly, but that's kind of a personal point. The gingersnaps were also way too ginger-y... obvious, I know, but just warnin' ya!

The bakery itself is very small with not much space inside but that only adds to the charm. It's definitely worth checking out and going early because I bet they're going to sell out of stuff as word spreads!

Dim sum! Came here on a Sunday with the boyfriend and it was relatively busy but there was no wait for the table. There were so many cute mixed couples (including us!) and mixed babies everywhere.

We decided to pace ourselves and go slow. Most of what we tried was very delicious. The service was quick and the food was very fresh. So far most of the dim sum places have been decent in StL but none have been my absolute favorite. This one stands out for me because of the very fried pork filled golden dumplings. They were very well made and I haven't seen those at Mandarin House or Wei Hong.

We also took a plate of the crispy pork skins home and they were amazing. Even after reheating, the skin was so ridiculously crispy. They definitely needed a sauce though, and we were wondering why they were served to us by themselves. The bf first wanted congee with it but then canceled his order. Instead, we took it home and mixed some hoisin sauce with peanut butter as the dipping sauce. So. Good.

I think I'd be back to this place for dim sum mainly for the well made shrimp dumplings and my favorite fried ones (any one know the actual name of it, in Chinese or English?)

Really great for the price, but nothing blew me away in awesomeness.

We tried the Tokyo Tower, which was very interesting and surprisingly quite tasty. It had some raw tuna, rice, apple slices, and cucumber, with thin fried potato chips on top! I never would have tried it if my boyfriend hadn't been insistent on trying something random and new.

We also got the Sunset roll which didn't sound very appealing but a friend kept telling us it was great, and I'm glad we branched out because it was pretty good. The dragon roll had slightly over-cooked unagi which was rather disappointing. The crunch roll was very crunchy and ideal, but nothing that special.

I do love that this place serves soup and salad with your meal, even at dinner on a Saturday night! I don't think most other places can beat that. Although I didn't care for the soup (very salty) or the salad (too much dressing), the touch was appreciated.

The service is also fairly good, although there's a waiter in particular who constantly tried to take our plates before we were finished. Our friend warned us about him and he was right! My boyfriend concluded that maybe they let him eat people's leftovers and that's why he's so hell-bent on taking our food away! Who knows.

It's nice to have a good sushi place so close to us but I have yet to find my favorite in StL.

OMG Taco

I don't taste the Korean part to any of these tacos. The prices are also slightly bumped up from the online menu (unless they've matched them now) and the short rib tacos weren't on the menu when I went :(

I had a fish taco which was sub-par... Good, but not amazing. My friend enjoyed the steak taco more, and it had a bit more flavor but nothing special.

The waiter also accidentally erased our order so it took quite a while but he was really nice and gracious, so the service is definitely a plus.
Just not sure I'd be back...

A friend of mine really wanted some Polish food and had heard this place was good. Although it took us forever to type the name into Yelp to look up directions, a group of 12 of us ended up here for dinner. It's rare that out of 12 dishes, about 10 out of 12 were scrumptious.

The pork shoulder has the best flavors and the portion is huge for the price. A friend and I split the chef's pierogis and although it had way too much goat cheese in it, it was still well made. The smoked salmon dish was also great.
The sausage, the potatoes, the fried or boiled pierogis, the pheasant, the boar, all great choices (I love that I have friends who share!).

I wasn't really in the mood for Polish that night but I'm really glad we ended up there.
To boot, there are giant knights in the front of the restaurant and portraits of knights all over, giving it a cool, medieval feel.

Wandered in here with friends after brunch elsewhere. It was my last day in NYC and I wanted some fun baked goods to take back with me.
My friend had been looking for a good cannele for the entire trip and found them here.
I opted for a chocolate croissant to remind me of my Paris days, and a petit four.

They were all so amazing! The petit four wasn't too sweet at all (although I have a bit of a sweet tooth so I may not be the ideal person to ask). Another friend got the lemon souffle tart and after sampling his, I had to run in and buy one of those.

Took them all to a park later that day and finished them off with friends. So much for saving them to bring home!

I haven't been able to stop thinking about the lemon souffle tart ever since. I'll just have to make my own version! As for the other baked goods, every single item was delicious and so authentically French. My friend loved her canele, while the chocolate croissant was just right.

The place is pricy but most definitely worth the price.

I'm glad I don't live near this place because I'd be stopping in every day!

Yes, I make macarons for a living.
Yes, I stood in line for 30 minutes for macarons here.
Yes, I spent over $20 for a box of six (SIX!) in a gorgeous purple signature box.
And YES it was totally worth it.

Although their cherry blossom is kinda like eating perfume, the rest were just as I remembered, and completely worth the wait. Laduree, I love you.

Yummy! The gyro pita is totally worth the hype, and the kefta is amaazing! Although it came in a pita, not in a platter and I thought I had ordered the platter.
Either way, we did carry-out and the service was great.

The fries weren't anything amazing, and the shawarma doesn't stand out, but it's worth coming here just for the gyro pita. And I will, again and again...

Too fun! Great food, great people, fun(ny) times :)
I loved the music selection, too!
And the juggler on stilts was just too amazing! Thanks Aimee!
Also thanks to all those vendors who put up with all of us barreling through their food. It was delicious and I'll definitely be hitting up those places soon!

Haven't been able to stop thinking about the fish tacos. I guess we must have been feeling fishy that day...The bf got a fish burrito that might have been delicious, had I not ordered the fried fish tacos on a flour tortilla...

Service was great, and nachos were plentiful (although I don't care for nachos)

Possibly the best fried fish taco I've ever had. I don't wanna know how many calories are in it, but I don't think I need to search for another fish taco place ever again. This place is dangerously close to my home!
