The $12 burger was about the size of a McDonalds hamburger. It took forever and if timed, it would have been close to an hour.
Our group of four went after a wine reception. The tuna appetizer was super meesley, small and not tasty. It has the makings of a place about to go under. I am also guessing that the current owner took it over from a bankruptcy, kept the word Nieman Ranch on the menu but just bought frozen patties at $0.40/per (its what some joints pay for a carton of burgers)

I was promised chips to be delivered as of Fri Mar 5. The party event committee is gonna roast me because I didn't get this done
zero updates and zero results as of Mar 5
If you wanna be stressed about getting custom poker chips, order from these guys.
I did a basic two sided chip with custom lettering
In short, avoid these guys

after many email, the art was pushed ahead and the chips look great
They were overnighted to arrive hours before my event where I had ordered them one month out
Do yourself a favor and tell them your event is two weeks before the real event so you'll have some cushion

I like it for lunch when I am treating myself. I like it better when a VC is treating me, but whatever ;-)
Its good for events because its got the inside/outside overflow. The service is amazing. The menu has changed a bit but I think for the better. I rotate between the gorgonzola burger to the pizza with truffle oil to the array of salads. Good stuff

Format: There is a breakfast buffet so it lets you do back-to-back-to-back meetings... It's perfect because you just keep your table and usher out your 8:15am before your 9am.

I have seen live music shows here and it just works well. The place feels full because it has nooks and cranies but the large space isn't palatial, but big
I have also been to corp events here like for GDC, tech meet-ups, etc. I like it. Bonus too because they serve food. Full bar. Surprisingly good food.
I am tech guy but not a music guy but it seems like the feng shui of the place has also a good sound system. If I knew more and dug some more, I am sure they have sound stuff built in. But remember, I am a tech dude and a writer -- not a sound guy.
