OMG, do not be fooled by the facade!!!! I repeat do not be FOOLED by the cheap price!
This place was a total nightmare, the filthy stained sheets, the blackened dirty lace curtains and the greyish once colored sofas was like being in a horror movie. The smell of old, moldy items was terrible. PLEASE keep driving and avoid this place. It's disgusting I doubt they ever changed sheets in years and the beds. God help you if you choose to spend the night like I did. You'll thank me.

PS: one star for the nice reception people but seriously how can you offer such filth for rooms?

You know, I love pho, I adore it but this place is soooooo gross its shocking, steer clear from the waiter with the spiky hair he burps and coughs in your FACE and doesn't cover his mouth, classy huh? Do not go to the bathroom if you want to keep your appetite and be careful not to slip on the caked grime on the floor. Other than that thanks to the mighty MSG the food is good, and although I hate this place when everything is closed or I have a hangover the MSGEESSY soup is the best ;)

PS: I saw one day one of the cashiers give a cop a paper bag, I thought it was cute a cop buying pho, but then the cop quickly looked thru the bag took out the edge of several stacks of MONEY and quickly left.  O.o

Guys I used to LOVE this place, but what happened to me was awful!!!

The wait staff wears the dirtiest shirts I've seen (esp. the men) does anyone wash their shirts here anymore? The guys are handling food in grimy caked black soiled clothes!

To top it off I found a grilled cockroach in my grilled chicken teriyaki and a twitching ant!!!!

I love the ambiance but verim in my food hells no, maybe one day the waitstaff will do laundry and clean up the kitchen, there's no excuse for roaches in food NONE!

Until then, I'll return but now I don't even bother buying bubble tea there I just cross the street to Quickly.

I was so happy to find out that Maria now has her own salon!!! I had met her at Salon V and couldn't wait to see her again, I made an appointment for my boyfriend's bad Asian mullet fro' yeah you can imagine how that looked :/ and he needed to look presentable since he was meeting my parents for thanksgiving, I wished I could have taken a before and after picture, Maria made my boyfriend feel comfortable and gave him a new do' without changing his wild spirit, she gave him a cut that looked both presentable and still made him feel like himself. I do not have words to describe how friendly and professional Maria is, she is absolutely the BEST!  I highly recommend her and the salon is beautiful! :)

Let me tell you about my experience in 2007, I went for the Japanese Straight perm, and although my hair was simply up to my chin they decided to charge me $400!!!!! I was FUMING! Everyone was unfriendly, didn't understand English or acted oblivious to what I was saying, before I headed to the salon I called and asked what was the price and they said 200$ I said the length of my hair and that my hair was a medium thickness and large waves, so it didn't take them so long to straighten it. I had gotten my hair cut at Salon V in the village and they messed up my beautiful cut because my stylist said "oh let me just give you a trim, free" I thought sure, OMG they effed up my beautiful cut and gave me so many thin ends since he was cutting away while looking elsewhere. HORRIBLE! Not only was that awful but the fact that when I was paying my 400$ bill on a 30K a year salary an assistant said to me "oh yeah give me tip I blow dry too" I thought  WTF, get away from me, I honestly felt like going off at this people, it was terrible. I am not Korean and when I asked an explanation of the bill they charged me the cost of what they said over the phone up to 70% more, so please beware! if you only want a cut and dry I guess you're ok ,if you want to "try" but I would recommend any place but here! You couldn't pay me to go back to this hell.

Well let me tell you about my experience here and being an elmhurst resident.

When we were seated we had a pushy waitress in a half empty restaurant telling us to hurry up and order due to lunch rush, it was 2:45! WAYYY past lunch rush, it took us about 5.5 mins to decide what to order we waved and said we were ready she said quoting "Well I have been waiting" O.o   we get our food, terrible mediocre and for elmhurst over priced Thai takeout food, the Pad Thai was drenched in oil and seriously you could see a pool of oil around it.

After we were done eating, the waitress kept coming over trying to be friendly but she saw we weren't digging the food, she said "oh but you order wrong thing" by then we just wanted  water since  you don't even get water when you are seated here. This is what FREAKED me and my friend out, she poured water in our almost empty cups of thai iced tea and we had to drink ice tea flavored water in the same cup where our previous drink was served. My friend and I couldn't believe we couldn't even get a clean cup.
Im disappointed and disgusted, skip this place I thought the service at Pho Bang was bad this is much worse!

I thought I was getting a half chicken literallly, instead I got all my chicken parts battered and rolled up in spicy glazed balls!?  I ate them anyway but man next time for battered chicken parts I'll go to KFC at least I know which part of the chicken Im eating, and dang I had to re-order water 4 times man no one cares about re-filling your cup anymore :/

I'll be fair their barbeque pork with garlic rice is the ONLY good thing on the menu, I love coming back here for this dish only and ONLY this dish, everything else is plain nasty and inedible but keep up the good pork and rice and thats all I have to say.

One great Vet SAVED my dog's life!
If this place is too ghetto for you and you have $1500 to spend on a snobby vet who will feed your pet with a silver spoon then go elsewhere. Dr. G is a great humanitarian, he even spays and neuters feral animals for a dirt cheap price! He made my dog live for 5 extra years after most of the snobby Manhattan vets said he'll die within 3 days and wanted to charge me over 1200$ for my dog to stay over night and die!?

Dr. G is very flexible with his payments and will not overcharge you, the clinic is small and crowded but he has  A LOT of loyal costumers, he will not display his Harvard VET diploma in your face and push you with a credit card to cover overpriced expenses like other vets.

They always put animals first and not snobbish people's schedules so you'll have to wait for great service.

He is perhaps one of the only Vets that uses homeopathic medicine and regular medicine to treat your pet, My dog had prostate cancer Dr. G recommend organic medicine and regular medicine thanks to him my dog lived 5 more years and did not die in 3 days like everyone else said.

My dog died last year he was 19 years old, thank you Dr G. for all your help and helping my poor modest family rescue our family dog.

The absolute BEST bagels in NYC, I mean it!  I dare you to contradict me.

The bagels are freshly made and keep coming out soft, warm and fluffy from the oven, these babies are HUGE and mouth watering for only 1.25$ to 1.75$ depending on your spread they are the best bagels you'll have.
They have a large variety of spreads and although the food is not so great the bagels are!
