For $62 you get what you pay for. For $62 I got a king non-smoking room with a crib (more on that in a minute). Lets see.. Check-in was after 3pm and there isn't really much to do around here at all unless you drive to Allentown. The staff was kind. The fridge in the room didn't work at all, even after moving it into a different outlet and then thinking "oh maybe the light switch has to be on too", nope. Not even slightly.. so I stuck my perishables in my car and looked forward to the snow storm. The room was warm and the heater/ac worked great. The "super start" breakfast... consists of bagels or donut holes, apple or orange juice, two kinds of cereal. And that crib. I requested in on my online reservations, made sure to mention it when i tried checking in at 1pm, and again at 3pm... and again mentioned it before i left for dinner... when i came back it was finally in the room. and it was as rickety as they come but it was good enough for just the one night.

So all in all it's an "ok" hotel for $62. Am I wrong? Oh yeah, book online. Trust me. And if there was Wi-fi it sure wasnt advertised or mentioned.

I stayed in Kutztown recently and in venturing to find baby formula I saw Texas Roadhouse on the GPS.. No Way!!! I say no way because this whole area looked so boring and empty. Well Allentown seems to be where the entire population is. and Texas Roadhouse is just as busy as I've seen it back home in California..with a line out the door and peanuts all over the floor.

So yes if you have a peanut allergy this is your nightmare, also if you hate a country feel or steak. Definitely dont come here. But if you love all those things then get your butt and your wallet and go here for dinner! Do call ahead seating if you're eating after 7pm and especially if you've got more than 4 people in your group.

I enjoyed my caesar salad but was sad that our steaks arrived so dang quick I wasn't even half way through :( The staff bent over backwards to be accommodating for myself my two friends and my son. We all enjoyed our dinner and the service and would definitely come back... if we ever find ourselves in the area again ;)

Completely overrated. Do i really need to continue? The sandwich I got barely had meat on it and didnt stay warm more than 5 minutes :( Plus for the price it could have had a ton more flavor. I'll be passing on Quiznos.. forever.

Right off highway 17 South (Why can't addresses reflect which side of the dang freeway I should be keeping an eye out on??). Friendly employees who made sure my  packages went on with truck that was heading out. I used to detest Fedex and their competition but now I don't. They're OK in my book :)

Theres Just something about Shoprite that I can't quite put my finger on but I don't like it. It could be the cramped feeling when walking through the shop. Or even the circulars that are all over the place it confuses me. Monk would lose his mind! Anyhow, Shoprite isn't bad by any means, they simply are not my first choice as a local grocer. on the upside they are Coupon Doublers, but on the downside they pretty much wont double too many per transaction. It varies by store.

Gorgeous AFB. Friendly people everywhere. I love coming here with my folks. The hotel/guest housing is awesome. The bowling alley is fun. And the girl at the commissary who always smiles, well that just makes my day ;)

Aka Valero's. I love getting gas here. It's almost always the least expensive if not very close. The place isn't sketchy at all the attendants have personality even. (no matter how strange someone is you should still respect them, especially when providing you with a service you'd otherwise not get).

Just a word of caution. Watch your credit card when getting gas in jersey.

Definitely not the quality commisary in used to (Travis AFB) but it did well enough in a pinch. The pickings are slim, the place isn't all that big, some things are down a hallway in another section of the place, but like I said... it'll do in a pinch.

Gas is cheaper in Jersey! That's for sure. You can save at least 50 cents a gallon just by crossing the border. What's more is they pump your gas for you (reminds me of Oregon visits). This is one of the consistently least expensive places to pump. The attendants seem sketchy but if you're not paying in cash then you should be smart enough to keep you eye on your credit card.
