Hands down has been my favorite place for years. I have been staying away from this slice of heaven. Since I have been trying to slim down. Yet after a bit of a stressful morning and afternoon, I heard the call of carnitas.

If you want a great unmobbed lunch here, then go for a late lunch. I swung in around ten till three. Was myself and some other fellow. Nice no eye contact, no trying to find a place to sit down and pile drive some great food.

I most always get the Carnitas Plate. I have tried many other great things on their menu. Yet the Carnitas are hands down the best for me. But I must be honest and tell you about my truly favorite things at El Cuervo is the soda machine. It spills out the best Dr. Pepper ever. It mixes well with the tasty pork, with rice, beans and some salsa, stuffed into a corn tortilla. Perfection!

Very easy to sit down with a edition of City  Beat, while you wait, and yes while you pile through the enormous portion of love from the Cuervo staff. Best way to kick the stress right in its stupid face. This place was winning before winning was kewl.

I have been coming here for a very long time. Not too long after it opened all these years ago, I still see the dopey owner reading the paper, and as well as he should be. Since he hit a home run out of the ball park with this place.

I was never a fan of gyros, lamb, or anything from that region. I would come here with some guys I worked with for breakfast. Some times lunch, yet never ate the non sense of strange food going on here. Would order up a red blood American steak sandwich, with some fried and a coke.

Damn little did I know I wasted years of not eating the best gyros on the planet. Moist is the first word that comes to mind when you bite into that yummy meat. I am still amazed at how moist their gyros are. The clincher is the cucumber sauce. Add that into the mix and it becomes heaven for dead taste buds.

I will say from breakfast to dinner, and a snack in between, you can not go wrong by eating here. Great place to read the paper, as you devour some great food, with some really nice people.

I had a lovely salad here the other day. Everything on other folks plates looked good too. Yet the best part was sitting outside watching the people walk by. Great location if your a people watcher!

Great place to get bread for parties or holiday events!

I will say plenty of nice things about this place. Too bad none of the nice things are about the food. This place is lovely, has a very relaxing feel to the place. Even when you bring three kids along with you. Even when our adult level conversation, still ended up talking about pooping in your pants. The level of service is really fantastic, even when one of our plates was returned. They do know how to treat their customers.

Everyone in my party loved their dishes. The kids snapped up their cheese pie, with not one complaint. The pesto dish next to me went down without a fight. Some thing at the end of the table also got the nod as being truly tasty. Maybe it was just me. The nit picky prick. I thought if I kept it simple, I will get what I want. Well not really.

Spaghetti Pomodoro
Fresh tomatoes, garlic, basil (add meatballs or shrimp)

I was so disappointed that the sauce was no better than a spaghetti o's. Thought it would be a lock down win. Thought I would spice it up with some shrimp and fresh cracked black pepper. Just added to the sadness. I was just glad that all my other table mates loved their meals.

Now they went overboard gaga for the TIRAMISU. They kids went nuts for some over frozen spumoni. They also make a very nice Cappuccino. Now they also know how to treat us yelpers, show your check in for a nice glass of house vino. I should of ordered something else. I may come back for another swing here, yet with so many restaurants in San Diego why bother.

FYI you knuckle heads in the kitchen basil not mint morons!

I love this place. The fish sandwhich is plenty yummy! Service is on point. Their special kecthup is frigging awesome. I will say that I enjoyed the fish sandwich so much, that it lead me to find a yummy fish sandwich recipe to try out. Which I did and it was as if a Fish Cod God, lent me skills on how to make a tasty sandwich out of one of his children.

I will be one of the few who hate this place. If God asked me for my top five restaurants to be removed from his planet, I would say The Mission must go first. Maybe it was the one time I was eating there and a huge bug was crawling on my shoulder. It could be the other time I was there a spider was chilling on the table. I have been forced to go here too many times, the things we do to keep our significant others happy.

I was there last week. It was full of happy people in the late morning. I will say I do have a bad attitude every time I come here. The last visit was no exception. As I sat there waiting 25 minuets for our coffee to get to us. Watching five tables send their food back. I new we would be there forever.

Now I have to say I like their potatoes with rosemary. Also enjoy the BLT. The bread that makes up the BLT is so fresh and tasty. Now I truly hate the fact that my lunch comes with the worst tortilla chips ever made. Horrible salsa comes with them. I just do not get why they cannot serve up so fries. Or at least the rosemary  potatoes. We did not even get our plates till the 58 minuet mark. Yes was watching the clock since on of us had to go to the dentist.

I have been  meaning to write five nasty reviews about this place. Have not had the time to give it a good bashing. With the amount of happy people that were there, I know I am one of the few that hands down hate this place.

I must say when I walked into this dump, I was sure it would be horrid. Yet I will say this I was so very wrong. Since this place is in my hood, it is easy to walk there with the family. This place is very kid friendly, to a certain time of day. Since it has a full bar and is infested with fat white sailor guys. Went in there not long ago during a Sunday football game, and the language was rather "Fucked Up" for my 4 year old daughters ears. With that said that is my only complaint about the place.

This is a seat yourself type place. Service is either prompt or lacking. I have had breakfast many times, and plenty of lunches too. I will be honest and say from the first bite I every had here, they had me hooked rather nicely. Blue Crab Meat Benedict
with Scallions, Hollandaise  . . . $9.95 Talk about setting the bar high for this place. I took a chance with this and was not let down. My picky kiddio had Chocalate Chip Pancakes . . . $5.75 which she loved. Now I have been here for a nice burger fix too
Western Style Char grilled Cheeseburger topped with bacon, onion rings, and our own homemade BBQ sauce!!! . . . $8.25.

The bar seems like a lively time if your into drinking. All around it is a plesant time in Point Loma at Point Break Cafe. They also have a cool seating for a large party. And plenty of crayons and coloring books for the kids. Some video games also. this place is right across the road from Fiddlers Green.

Do not go to this Carls Jr. at 10 p.m. on a Thursday night. To the order taker, first clean the poop from between your ears, before you go to work at night. When someone says onion rings five times, there should be onion rings in my bag. Two do not serve up Dr. Pepper that is all soda water retard. Thanks for the soggy fries, when they should be some what crisp you lazy bastards. Not like there was not enough bizzness going on, for there to be fresh food served up. The drive through was 8 cars deep. Order number 206679 was a pile of vomit. Thanks jack offs, I will never go to this location ever again. Thank you for making Mac D's seem like a five star dinning experience. You suck for that, hope Mr. Karl digs his way out of his grave, and comes and burns this location down. F U!

Tasty Pizza

Now there are some really good places to get a pie in San Diego. Yet if your a cheap ass like me, or live on a tight budget, then forgo all the other places and get your pepperoni on at Tasty Pizza. Their five dollar one topping pie is dynamite. You can risk buying a five dollar pile of crap from Little Ceasers, or get two slices from one of those NY pie shops. If you want something that will fill your stomach, taste good, have leftovers of, than there is only one place to go. Located next to a 7-11 so you can get a candy bar to wash your pizza fest down with. Parking is not a pain in the ass either.

Yoshino Japanese Restaurant

I found this gem many years ago. With that said I have not lived in San Diego for the last five years. Needless to say I had a craving for Yoshino's. Was not amazed that the guys behind the sushi bar remembered me, even with my crazy goat boy bread. I went in there knowing it will be just as awesome as it was, since that last time I ate here all those years before. I brought my brother and mother with me this time. I did act like a hog who had not been feed in a few weeks. Had numerous rolls, my brother had a combo plate, mom had a combo plate too. They also had a few rolls also. Everything was perfect as always. Besides the fact that the food and service is always top notch, the best thing about coming here in San Diego is the price. We left there satisfied, full, and did not have to take out a third mortgage to pay for it. Total bill $54.00 dollars, for three starving adults, you can not beat the price or quality of food anywhere else in San Diego. I recommend everything!!!!!
