Finding someone to help you fix your computer is like the Internet-era equivalent of having to hire a plumber from out of the phone book.

My father (a senior citizen) had the misfortune of getting his laptop infected with a virus. I didn't have the skills to fix it myself so I took it to Computer Courage. They cleaned it up, installed anti-virus software, and gave me guidelines on maintenance. They're honest, professional, and understanding.

Their prices are reasonable, they work quickly, and they can present you with different options.

Use the Yelp! coupon if it's available - it's a really good deal.

Patricia Haladay

If you're looking for aromatherapy or expecting New Age music in the background, keep looking. This ain't no spa massage. Patti gives  efficacious healing massages and serious post-workout rubdowns.

Significantly, she's athletic herself. As a cyclist, swimmer, and runner, she knows what you're going through and understands what pain is and why it's there. If she were a doctor, people would say she has excellent bedside manner. When I strained my MCL, my thoughts went from "I can't train" to "I can't run my race" and further deteriorated to "I'm going to be crippled!" all within one weekend. Then I visited Patti regularly and she worked on my knee while giving me reassuring pep talks. She was like another coach. I was able to return to training in a month and, I swear, Patti was instrumental in helping my knee to heal quickly. My psyche also recovered.

I went on to run my half-marathon within my goal time. Previous to this, the word "marathon" meant to me that my favorite TV show would be on all weekend. But now I'm discovering active people are susceptible to injury and pain. You need to rely on an excellent massage therapist.

So whether you work with your body, or are an athlete, a weekend warrior, or someone like me, a couch potato who dares to dream, Patricia Haladay will help you stay healthy. And if you're not healthy, she'll help you get back on your feet, on the field, or on the road.

Classy surroundings! Beautiful furniture and decor. Nice bar, good-sized dance floor, good location for coat check. The only thing I had to get used to was the co-ed restroom... Still, it's a very nice space and a great location. Good luck when you open to the public!

I only know this as a lunch or dinner place. Stopped by with a big group on Friday night when they had a DJ. What fun we had! Who knew you could have such a good time in the 'burbs?

I don't know how to sew, but in my fantasies I'm a kick-ass fashion designer. When I walk by Sew Images, I stop and read their posted announcements for classes and sewing machines for sale... and then I walk on.

Anyway, for Christmas my sister wanted a dark blue bath towel with her name embroidered on it. Sound corny? Well, let me explain. Our mother sent us off to college with new bath towels with our names embroidered in script on them. Let me tell ya, it was one of the most useful items I had with me in the dorms! No one could mistake my towel for anyone else's. I loved my towel and I still have it, though it's old and I use it kinda as a rag. My sister has her towel, too, and she uses it on her dog.

So sis wants a new personalized towel.

After calling around and getting nowhere, I finally called Sew Images and discovered to my delight that they can do this kind of embroidery! I worked with Kelly who was so pleasant and helpful. I had to pay extra for the rush job, but the work was very well done.

Sew Images has been a long-time merchant on Piedmont Avenue and I'm glad to have patronized them after years of walking by their storefront. They're a credit to the neighborhood.

There's already more than 160 reviews here, what more can I say? I like the space, drinks are OK. The white pleather "booths" are quite pleasant. I've come a couple of times with a friend and have good memories of the place. Would like to come back and try the food.

Strictly for tourists and locals who are feeling touristy. Which I was the couple of times I visited.

There is a $20 minimum. I know because the waiter made a point of announcing to my friend when we sat down at my first visit. Tacky!

I like their mussels, but everything else on the menu is too heavy for me.

To keep with the tourist mood, order the Bloody Brigid. You'll get a souvenir glass to take home!

Voda Vodka Bar - CLOSED

Interesting drinks menu for the vodka lover. And there was a floor show! Well, not exactly. I came here after work on a weeknight and the place was empty except for three or four couples. Two of the couples were already plastered. The girls showed off their moves by using the stripper pole (yes, there's a stripper pole in the corner!), dancing on the table, doing some dirty dancing with their boyfriends. At one point the two girls started kissing each other for the benefit of one of the guys. Yipes! It wasn't even 8 PM and already they were engaging in 3 AM behavior? So if Voda is trying to be a classy place, well... it's not.

Despite the obnoxiousness of these other patrons, I did enjoy my drinks.

Most dishes are a dollar and portions are small. So think of it like getting a sampler plate when you spend $8 here. You will get what you pay for. Which is fine for starving students from the Cal campus across the street. But if you have money, you might as well get your Indian fix elsewhere.

What a wonderful location! Nice view of SF City Hall. Just around the corner from a BART station. And a short walk from the opera.

I recently attended a private event here. The food was good, the service was outstanding. What a great crew! I found the drinks... um, small and not really noteworthy. Probably 'cause I was too distracted by the pleasant surroundings, the large screen and good sound system. Would definitely be excited to have another event here.

I'll come back for sure to have dinner before attending the opera.
