Ultra was marvelous, for some reason I always hear that it's always better as the festival matures. Getting in was easy, no lines even for food and drinks practically. I think they really raised their service level up from last year. My only problem with Ultra is the way they get you with not allowing any outside food or drink. I took a sealed pack of trail mix that was thrown away before I went in. A single bottle of water was $5, i think that's way too much to charge an army of adults that are going to be in need of hydration. But I did not notice any sound or light problems everything went smoothly even driving forklifts through crowds went well.
If you are at all into electronic music or partying your ass off I think Ultra is a MUST, you can regret it after but you will regret it more if you didn't see the spectrum of people that flock to this monumental music experience. Acts that I watched, The Presents, Infected Mushroom, Cut//Copy, Boys Noize, Deadmau5, & Carl Cox.
Ultra Music Festival is a two day event where Bicentennial Park in Downtown Miami transforms into a Drum & Bass, techno, house, trance Mecca. The grounds are covered in large open stages and tents, the variety of sound is vast and be aware that it does get quite loud. The festival is for all ages, but I would not recommend allowing your under age children to attend, there is a plentiful atmosphere of controlled substances roaming the grounds, as well as the authorities to keep the crowd under control.
Trouble in Paradise: water & food is quite over priced, there was one latino vendor that at least gave you good quality food for the price of $14 a plate. Bookbags and video cameras are not allowed. But security at the front is quite loose, water bottles on the other hand are prohibited.
Tickets usually go for $130 for 2 days and $90 for a single day. It is definitely something anyone that likes to party to try once, and if you like to party you will be returning next year.

What I did:
I called in and reserved 4lbs. or medium stone crab. Picked them up at 3PM, and had a real nice picnic.
