Juneau Jazz & Classics is an annual festival of live, professional music in the beautiful Capital City of Juneau, Alaska. Entering its 24th year, Juneau Jazz & Classics has drawn artists representing the best in classical, blues and jazz genres for concerts, education programs, and free events. Juneau Jazz & Classics takes place throughout Juneau - in auditoriums, schools, hotels, the University of Alaska Southeast campus, on board boats and even in an office building atrium. Over 6,000 individuals from near and far join us for our 10-day music celebration each May, experiencing everything from string quartets to well-recognized headliners.

Yearly event in May that brings musicians to Juneau, great culture opportunity. In 2010 the dates are the 21-30. Past artists include Diana Krall, the Duke Ellington Orchestra, and Grace Potter & The Nocturnals.

Pretty good for a tourist trap, I think a decent amount of locals eat here, but I'm not sure. I love their berry burger, but I don't remember what it's called. It shouldn't be too hard to find.

The coconut shrimp is sooooo good. Three of us got two orders and we couldn't even eat it all. Unfortunately we could not take the leftovers because we were staying in a hotel without a fridge. And I discovered an awesome new drink here: Boston iced tea which is iced tea and cranberry juice which is also very good. I was surprised at the prices, too. I expected them to be higher.

Silverwood Theme & Rv Park

It's not real big, but it's a pretty cool amusement park. Good memories because we would come here when we visited my grandma. This is where I rode my first roller coaster and fell in love. It's called the corkscrew and I really like it because it's got the curly q's which I find more fun than the drops.
