Charming, vegan options, decent coffee--fair trade.
Smelly, man standing on the bar with bare feet, disgusting veggie burger, and disobeyed order for NO DAMN MAYO. Never again. There are certainly a few other late night joints to hit before this one.

Tasty, quick, cheap take-out.
I am weary of the 'best in town' slogan because often the restaurant would be rejected in any other city. This is somewhat the case with Taqueria Corona. To sound like a total shithead, which is what all Yelpers end up doing, once you've had freshly made tortillas from a little old lady on the streets of Tijuana, served with fresh pico de gallo, with meat shaved off of a spit, it's very hard to eat at a place that just piles on the cheese and sticks under the lamp.
But I liked the decor, the speed, and the decent pricing. So, I may return.

No.
What a quirky little restaurant! I was very surprised by the interior--I'll spare the details so that you may be surprised too. The crepe provencal was tasty and the beer and wine selection is great. Wish I would have tried the special--a savory cheesecake. Interesting and tasty offerings combined with classy setting makes for a good weekend evening restaurant.
It's not the coffee but the incredible setting that makes Cafe Luna an excellent choice for non-oppressive weekend work. At least for me, enjoying a sunny day on Magazine St. sitting on a porch partly enshrouded by a big beautiful live oak makes lesson planning seem less awful. Outdoor outlets, sustenance like sandwiches and bagels, and a clean bathroom means there's no reason to leave!
Dog-friendly and plenty of seating options indoors and outdoors--the only downside is less than superb coffee.

Cheap, tasty, friendly and the perfect lunch spot. I would highly recommend it to the budget traveler hunting for the 'authentic' NOLA. Not that I'm the best judge, but too many tourists fall into too many traps. Fried seafood, southern hospitality (being called 'baby' countless times), and food not flare.

Nothing overtly offensive, and decent to get the job done, but not a place I will visit again soon. Greasy and, well, kind of yucky. Vegetarian options were available and the service was fair.
A wealth of vegetarian friendly options drew me into Jazmine Cafe, and an adequate job of fulfilling a craving will bring me back.
The pho, or 'hot noodle bowl' was a decent size and price, but the spring rolls were pretty small for being 2 for $5. I'd opt next time just to get another damn bowl, or a salad. Served with traditional fixings -- bean sprouts, basil, lime, jalapeno -- the food was at least authentic, just low quality. Pho is delicious for the noodles, and here they were firm bordering stale.
Overall, not the best Vietnamese or anywhere near, but decent prices and portions, ample options, and a good location for those in uptown who crave pho but don't want to drive out.
