I went here with a craving for Ribs. I almost didn't go given the so-so reviews on here, but I'm glad I did.
It's a small joint, very small. We had intended on eating there, but once seeing that every table was full and there was a line to order we knew we were taking it to go. There was a line to the door and at some points the line went out there door. Very busy.
I didn't think the decor was cheesy, but rather cool. Each booth/table had a roll of paper towels on the end which I thought was a great idea. It's a very small place though, waiting for our food (which wasn't a long wait), things got very cramped with other people waiting and everyone trying to get sauce from the sauce bar.
The food for the most part was good. The ribs came with almost no sauce on it, luckily we loaded up on a few different flavors from their sauce bar before we left.
The ribs were good. I've had better, but this is the Richmond District, I'm not expecting world-class ribs, I'm just happy there's finally a place for me to get some at all.
As for sides, the mac-n-cheese was good, typical home-cooked, not Kraft. The baked-beans were so-so...There was some flavor in there that I didn't like, without that the beans would be great. The sweet-potato fries are forgettable and I'll definitely avoid them from now on, and the mashed-potato's are so ::expletive:: good. They seriously may be the greatest mashed potatoes I've ever had.
Prices were reasonable. Ended up costing about $35 for 2 adults and 1 child.
All in all, a pretty decent place. Nice atmosphere, foods good, prices are reasonable. Judging by the business they had tonight, they're gonna need a bigger place.People thought this was:

1) They're expensive. The supposedly use natural meat and the meat tastes good, but a "large" (footlong) classic combo is going to set you back a little over $10.
2) They're alright. The sandwiches taste decent and I'd say my Italian tasted a bit better than an Italian at Subway. But an Italian footlong at Subway is $5 and at Quizno's it's almost $8. I don't think the taste warrants a $3 price difference.
3) The images of the $4 "Torpedo" are blatant false advertising. Pictures all over the store make the Torpedo appear like a big sandwich on a decent-sized roll when in actuality the bun is about the width of a hot dog bun and about 12 inches long. Your 7 year old would have no problem finishing it.
4) As someone below this mentioned; they give off the impression of being very cheap. I had to ask for napkins and even then was only given two. There were three of us. I purposely waited until no one was looking to get a refill of soda; I'm not positive that they charge for refills, but they gave off that vibe.
In my opinion, Quizno's is just OK. Nothing special, probably won't go out of my way to eat here again but if I were hungry and in the neighborhood I might stop in for a sub. The place has two tables, both sit two people but one has three chairs. Probably not a place to go if you want to dine in.

The place was filled with your typical Laurel Heights yuppie clientele which is exactly who this place caters to. The prices are high and the portions are small and healthy.
I ordered a sandwich then listened as the boss sternly told some of the employees to not talk to the other employees. What a dick. Then I later heard him spouting abrupt orders to another worker. The place is small and crowded, if you're gonna be a dick to the employees expect people to take notice.
There was at least 15 employees running around which seemed totally unnecessary (and weird for a new lunch spot in this economy) and the ones that helped me were totally nice.
I gotta tell you though, the sandwich I got tasted like complete shit. I couldn't eat it. No one in my home could. $11 completely wasted.
This isn't my type of place and I won't be back, but the place is clean, has a lot of food options and the staff were friendly so I'd guess that some people will dig it...

Smart & Final
Category: Grocery
Neighborhood: Inner Richmond
I was recently in this store again and noticed that they're now charging 0.10 cents per bag. I watched in amazement as women and men refused to pay the fee and carried their groceries in their hands, as if cradling a baby.
This exudes a lack of concern for their shoppers and I don't actually believe that a store that does this to their customers deserves customers.
But they do provide significant savings on bulk items, they're conveniently located in the Richmond District and they have a large parking lot.
So, my temporary solution is this: Refuse the bag, take the cart and leave the cart in the parking lot wherever you are, *unless* they pay you a 0.10 fee to put it back in the proper place.

Big 5 Sporting Goods
Category: Sporting Goods
I casually browsed the shoes while overhearing two employees joking about which one gets to go on their smoke break. I looked around and saw at least 5 employees on the floor, one running the cash register and the other 4 strolling the floor, joking with each other, taking their smoke breaks, not offering to help me.
I didn't find the shoes I was looking for, but did find a pair of clearance shoes that were a good buy. I got in line, behind 7 other people that were already waiting. One cashier, 4 other employees doing nothing. 15 minutes later I was STILL in line and the line grew longer behind me. Still only one cashier and 4 employees doing nothing. The manager didn't even have the respect to apologize for the wait or address at all for that matter.
When I did finally reach the register the price didn't ring up correctly, but the unpleasant cashier corrected it when I pointed it out.
With the abundance of sporting good stores within half a mile of this Big 5, there is absolutely no reason anyone should shop here.

As of today their price for regular gas is: $2.09
The cheapest gas in San Francisco is: $1.69
Average SF gas prices being: $1.90
Go inside and pay over $2 for a 20oz of soda.
I've had my car smogged here once and it failed. Cost me over $400 to have it repaired. It did pass after that, but I have a feeling that it shouldn't have cost $400...

They also have the most amazing hot sauce in the world. It's not so much hot as it is full of amazing flavor.
They have plenty of seating for large groups and have extremely fast and friendly service.

Jared from NetRocketPC came out to us the next day and had us up and running with all our data restored within a few hours. We've since hired them to consistently maintain our servers and networks and haven't had a problem since.
I've worked with several I.T. companies in the past who have all either not responded quick enough during emergencies or had awful customer service, so it's a pleasure working with Jared and NetRocketPC who consistently exceed our expectations.

One of the key qualities of a good BBQ place is texas-sized portions to gorge yourself on. Roadside completely lacks this quality.
