Fashion has never been my forte. I mean, seriously. lol
All of my clothes have gotten too big for me, woohoo! So what does that mean, ladies?? SHOPPING. :D I've been doing so well, I thought I'd treat myself. I go into Maurices and start browsing and then realize..."hmm, I don't know how to piece an outfit together''. :/ I found a dress that I loved, it accentuated my figure but it was strapless. If you're like me, and hate your arms, you understand. One of the employees, Sarah, happened to be walking by...and asked if I needed any help. I explained my dilemma to her and she says ''come with me''. She mentions adding a cardigan and a belt to it...and I was so hesitant and displayed it on my face, then another staff member says ''trust her, let her shop for you, she's good''.
I go into my dressing room where 6 outfits awaited me, that Sarah picked out. They were all soooo super cute. I was in love. With the clothes, and Sarah! haha, she's really good. The styles she put together were girly, casual, flirty, yet not slutty, and summery. She made my experience at Maurices so amazing. Sarah rocks, please don't let her leave.

As Emily P said...first store in FOREVER I've been to that I've had exceptional service from. Their employees are not only friendly, but helpful! Possible?! Yes..it is.
I walked in and immediately I was approached by someone offering to help me. I usually like to be left alone when shopping and like to browse and I'm sure they noticed that by the way I kind of drifted on my own. As I entered the dressing room one of their employees wrote my name on this cute little hanging plaque outside of the dressing stall I was in and said this was my dressing room for the time I was shopping there. So thoughtful and cute! Definitely makes you feel special.
When I exit my personalized dressing room I was followed by an employee as I hung up my clothes on the rack, I noticed she was looking through them and thought it was weird. As I continued browsing she came up to me and said ''I saw your choices and sizes and realized you are looking for a more casual/laid back style and thought these items would interest you. I'll place them in your dressing room if you'd like to try them on''. Wow..REALLY?! I went straight to the dressing room as I was excited to try on the cute outfits she put together for me. Sure enough. I loved them. :)
I don't like shopping. I hate shopping. But Maurice's makes it a fun and wonderful experience. :) Definitely one of my new favorite places to shop.
Oh, and don't forget about the sales..this place REALLY does have great sales. ALL the time. :)

I really wanted to like Red's. I can't make this review my final outlook on this place..so I'll just say now, that I'll be back again.
It was so busy and packed that it was hard to enjoy yourself. I loved the dart boards...and the seating. I really liked the set up towards the back, the elevated floors with couches and comfy chairs. Kinda made me feel like I was hanging out on a movie set.
On the downside, parking is ridiculous, drinks were spilt, glasses were shattered, and orders were wrong, wrong, wrong. :(
I wonder if the crowd eases up after 7? Guess I'll find out next time..

Ooooh how I've been craving it since I first had it...that damn mixed seafood grill. Pieces of fish and lovely veggies grilled. It's so flavorful..I almost wanna ask the staff if I can go back to the kitchen and watch them make it so I can do it at home.
This place is awesome...especially if you're a seafood lover like me. :) I ordered the Mixed Seafood Grill, normally served on a bed of rice...I declined the rice and asked for steamed broccoli instead to be a bit healthier...if you're looking to make it even more healthier, be sure to ask for it blackened...it'll alleviate all that butter they splash on this thing. I'd also recommend the lunch portion as 1 skewer is a very very generous amount of food...the dinner portion is 2 skewers..you can always box it up and take it for your lunch the next day. Rest assured if you do so, you'll need a cat nap afterwards. I can't wait to check out more of Pappadeaux's yummy foods.

I love this place.
I joined Planet Fitness about 3 months ago. I feel like it's a fair time to review. I signed up for the black card so that I could take a friend/family member with me whenever someone wanted to join. The more the merrier. I'm all for a healthier lifestyle these days. Not to mention, my privilege to use multiple locations is pretty sweet and convenient for someone like me who has random location changes due to work during the day. :)
Staff is always courteous and nice. They always greet everybody with a smile, I've yet to encounter anybody rude here. I hope it stays that way. If you're like me and work the 9-5 and head to the gym after work then you'll notice how incredibly busy it is at that time. It doesn't die down until 7ish. Not complaining, just warning. It's in a great location, HUGE, and clean. Machines are always working...a few times I've seen out of order signs, but what I like about this place is that I've never seen a machine out of order for longer than an 24 hour period. The women's locker room is always tidy, and clean as well. Have I mentioned how everything is clean??! There are a few people who don't clean/wipe down the machines after they use them, but that's not the gym's fault...I stated that just so they know I SEE YOU!!!! haha
This place has changed my life and has become a second home to me. I'd recommend it to all of my friends and already have. :) Please don't gooooo! EVER! Looooove PF!

My mission to lose weight and be healthier is en route. I'm well on my way and have adjusted to eating a lot better. I heard about this place from one of my vegetarian friends. (No, I'm not as bold to be vegetarian. I admire, you's guys. :)) When I first walked in, it reminded me of a small town grocery store, quiet, quaint, everybody's so nice, and not jam packed. I thought it would be quite the contrary as I walked in on a Saturday Morning.
I simply wanted to browse but then all these low-calorie, low-carb items started screaming at me. PICK ME, PICK ME!!! Multi-grain, 60 calorie tortilla wraps? Are you kidding me? So good and so good for you. They have an amazing cereal/granola area as well...and nuts, you can make your own trail mix with all these selections. It's like a mini-whole foods without the overcrowd. :) Needless to say I'll be coming here whenever I can't find a healthy option at HEB.

Are you frickin kidding me?!? Like...seriously??! That's not a taco. That's a damn BURRITO, for the price of a taco!
They mean business here. Whenever I stay at my parent's house my drive into Austin for work in the mornings are longer...and I drive through Burleson. I've seen the sign for this place and thought I'd try it. I ordered a Sausage Egg and Cheese taco. As I waited, watching Joyce Meyers on the television, I found myself thinking ''wow, she draws a very large audience''.
Then the cashier lady came up to me and handed me a brown bag with my taco in it. When I grabbed it it was heavy! I opened it and looked in there to make sure it wasn't more than one taco and they didn't mix up my order. Nope. There was one taco in there. I said to her ''Excuse me, is this my taco I ordered? It kinda looks like a burrito''. She laughed and said ''si mijita, es yer taco'' I said ''oh, okay'' and walked out.
I got to work and as I'm going through my emails I remembered I had a taco! When I pulled it out of the bag and sat it in front of me I thought..No way. I opened it and it was a huge taco! With the best...home made flour tortillas I've had in a while. No need to go for more than one...one is way more than enough. Jam packed doesn't even describe it. Salsa was good, kinda bland. Service was quick, and friendly. I like. Oh, let's not forget how frickin cheap it was too! Go here.

I'm a simple girl. Just looking for a damn good simple taco. And I finally found it.
I hate when you order a taco and they give you a flour tortilla with a whole HEAP of eggs and a teeny tiny strip of bacon. Hate, hate, hate it. I just hate it. I needed a hangover cure..QUICK. I was driving down Congress and pulled into this place. I thought it looked run down and kind of scary but am one of those believers that those holes in the wall are usually the best. And I was right. :)
I ordered myself 2 bacon egg and cheese tacos and my friend a burrito plate. My tacos were ah-ma-zing! They cut up the bacon and cook it into the eggs. I just want to say. I applaud you guys for this. Why is this so hard at other restaurants?? SO good. Their salsa is fantastic, spicy, flavorful, a bit runny but still good. My friend loved his burrito plate. We both decided that this place hit the spot. Totally. Can't wait to come back and visit!

Maybe it was the cold weather that steered the other customers away, or maybe it was just early on my way to work. Either way, I'd been wanting to try this place for some time now.
I zipped right in here and ordered ''the shack taco'' it has eggs, chorizo,
potatoes and cheese. It was good. Very simple. Thank goodness chorizo itself has tons of flavoring and did all the work for the rest of the taco. Chorizo is very salty and evened everything out. I must say, it was a good simple taco. And to be quite honest, I was very surprised that the tacos weren't greasy either. I like. :) I definitely want to try their lunch menu. I'll be back at the shack soon. :)

I really like how their staff was so attentive during our dining experience. Really. They were very nice and attentive.
Prices are affordable and measure up to the food. The food is good. It's close to my house, and has decent parking. I will say I'll be back to try more of their options but it just didn't blow me away.
I did notice the patio when I walked in. Can't wait for the sun to shine and enjoy a margarita out there. I might just love it more during the summer than the winter. Either way, these people are doing just right. :)

I mean, really. The interior has a spanish flair, dim lighting, and live music. With amazing happy hour specials. What else could you ask for?
I felt so comfortable here. My friends and I enjoyed the atmosphere and did not want to leave. It reminded me of a Westside Story. ;)
The bartender was spotty as far as service goes, but I'm not gonna hold that against you guys. I can't wait to return and try out some of the yummies they had to offer.
