I was at a loss as to how to fix my extreme fatigue and losing battle with an autoimmune disease. she is so smart, a great listener, and has many unique and useful ideas. She is currently treating me and I will go out of my way to continue seeing her because she's made a real difference in how i feel. her office staff are very friendly also.

their hot food/soup choices are AMAZING. i highly recommend the edamame and tofu dish they have once a week or so. it's SO packed with protein and delicious, i get it every single week and after 2 years, still haven't gotten sick of it. in fact, sometimes i get double portions so i can share with my boss, who also loves it.
they also have a great body care section, bulk goods (their quinoa is cheaper than anywhere else i've found in NYC!), frozen foods, a juice bar, and a big bunch of snacks i can't get enough of. if it weren't for this place, my macrobiotic lifestyle would be starved for attention during the work week!

we showed up here Saturday night figuring, why not have a few drinks somewhere cool since it's so ridiculously hot right? i sort of wondered why the bar was totally empty. Literally, there were two other people there and it was after 10 pm. But oh well. We ordered some food which was so-so. the mac & cheese was runny and my boyfriend said the wings were gross. but my friend really liked the chips and salsa. after a little while, a few people showed up with a musician who started playing some really cool acoustic/electronic tunes in the back, so we decided to stay for the long term because he was really good.
the two people there were saying it was a bit loud but they really liked the music. the rest of us agreed it was good.
about 10 minutes into his set, my friends hear the bartender go over and start B*TCHING to him (the musician) about how bad his music was and he used the term "jerk-*ff" to describe the music. The poor musician was dumbfounded, obviously they'd heard the music and set the show up on that basis, but i guess this particular bartender was too "COOL" to give him a chance. i guess since all he was playing was radiohead the entire time before the live show started, he was thinking this guy would just play radiohead. He had a sourpuss on his face and b*tched through the next two songs until the poor guy gave up playing and left. the funny part is, no one was left in the bar after that, because everyone there stayed to hear the music, and the mean awful bartender scared him off.
i've never heard anyone be so caustic or rude in my entire life. i thought *maybe* when the bartender was snotty with us he was just trying to be funny but failing miserably. only after we heard him talking to the performer did we realize he was just a complete JERK. we were there with someone diabetic and he commented 'why are you here if you're not drinking?". what a d*ck right???
we will never go back there again. who can support a bar that treats musicians like that? it was so uncomfortable and embarrassing to watch this go down. I guess the bartender thinks he's Mr. Music Critic. too bad he's just an over the hill loser who lost a bunch of would-be repeat customers because he can't be nice to save his life.
