Very cool spot for a date. They have an event schedule on their website you should double check before you commit to going. You can grab some 2.5-3 star Ethiopian food (compared to Assab on Geary) while you listen to some live entertainment. The staff was very friendly and the spot is pretty romantic. Seems like the spot attracts a bunch of couples on dates and a crew of regulars that sit together in the front.

3.5 stars. Their food really doesn't get my mediterranean juices flowing. Their falafel is quite good. I just don't think their pita or hummus is that outstanding. It tends to taste like the mediterranean food you could get a super market for the most part. The staff is super nice and the place has been open for a long long time. It's obviously a local favorite. It doesn't make my top 5 of Pac Heights list :(.

I've come here at least 3 times now. I feel like I can review this place pretty  accurately.

The pizzas are thin and pretty much personal to me. I found out pretty late in life that they actually have vegan cheese at this place! I was pretty stoked. Their outdoor seating is probably some of the best in the marina. It competes with the blue barn (if you're a connoisseur of outdoor seating you know what that means).

The staff is efficient and everything I've ordered here has been quite good. the olives are ok, I wouldn't say outlier.

Haven't tried any desserts or the bathroom yet. I'll report on both of those things when I try it next.

This Crunch has some weird things going on but generally serves its purpose for me. Sometimes there are weird dudes that just "hang out" in the locker room. My only serious gripe is that the weight room/cardio upstairs smells horrible in the evening prime-time (when I usually arrive). I'm not sure there is much the staff can do but it's my only major issue with this place. I only use the exercise bikes and they're in good condition. I like how you can flip the bikes to look at people and the TVs so you don't get too bored doing 45 minutes of cardio. Overall, I like the staff at this Crunch and the location.

My experience at the JCC was a positive one. I used the pool about 8 times during my month membership. It's a nice pool and super convenant for me since I live in Pac Heights. They have a nice locker system that you similar to the bay club where you put your membership card in you can take the key with you. They also have a sauna in the men's locker room which I used a couple of times.

The pool is broken up into the 2-slow, 2-medium, and 1-fast lanes. There are 5 lanes total (I think if my memory isn't total shot). I didn't have to wait more than 5 minutes to split a lane. The pool isn't super deep on the lanes adjacent to the wall but it's not an issue.

They have towels everywhere and the bathroom are nice and clean. The staff is always very friendly. The massage was ok, if you need some specific work there are better places (of course they're more expensive). Overall a very positive experience.

I'm sorry folks this place is just not that good.

The lentil soup came out and it was luke warm. I've had better lentil soup in lots of places, I'm no lentil soup virgin.

Next up was the hummus... Sadly this was a big disappointment, I just didn't like it. The hummus I get at whole foods is far better than this was. The pita bread wasn't special in anyway. Just imagine or standard packaged pita that's heated up.

The falafel I ordered was ok and was freshly made but I just wasn't impressed. I can't say this place deserves the 4.5 star rating it has. I had to write something to disagree. It is random and cute, but it's not that great. Sorry folks.

This place is pretty weak given the competition on the block. I was wondering why I hadn't tried this place. Well, I recently found out why.

This cafe has a couple problems. 1) the staff, due to no fault of their own, seem to have any division of labor. This means that everyone does everything. The breakfast food took over 30 minutes to make it to our table! I also wasn't terribly impressed with their hollandaise sauce, it definitely had an odd after-taste. Net net I won't be. Coming back here, la boulange across the street is far far better for brunch.

"So expensive. It's so close to my house."

This is what my little voice in my head says every time I go to Mollie Stone's. I live about 2 blocks from Mollie's which makes it my default grocery store. I do like the hummus and mahmura that they sell. They always have berries that are 5.99 per little box but sometimes they're on sale at 3.99 and I buy them :). I also love their medjool dates that cost 7.29 per little tub, but cost 3.29 at trader joes :).

Love it.

I had a great massage here, probably the second best of my life. I forgot who did my massage but he was excellent and a master at his craft. I didn't try any other masseuses but these guys get paid well which translates to recruiting the best in vegas.

Nice little neighborhood gym. I'm not a member but came as a guest. All the folks that work at the gym seem to be very friendly and helpful. The equipment is in decent shape. Just understand that the gym isn't really big, it's got like 10 cardio machines and weights; I'd say it's adequate for a pac heights gym.
