Heard the UCB is expanding to a 2nd venue in NYC, the old Pioneer Theater spot on N. 3rd and A in Manhattan! So awesome, glad they could keep arts alive in the space...we had screened many movies at the Pioneer Theater RIP!

Awesome space, awesome shows, always a guaranteed good time in NYC! They have the best improv classes in NY, I took them when the theater first opened in the old spot in 1999....ASSSSCAT is always a surefire hit! A great date spot!

I saw the Daily Show live a few times when I lived in NY, it was an awesome time...Jon Stewart always came out to talk to the crowd before the show....my friend's kermit the frog doll almost got onto the show but then he told Jon Stewart he wanted to make out with him and Jon got a little freaked out (long story short)...

I'll make it back someday, I gotta check out the Colbert Report, I have been meaning to for years!

Plenty of rooms for bands to rock, people to drink and play pool...even an art gallery! How can you go wrong?

Holy shit, this place is awesome! I always got the "vegetarian food" vibe from this place for some reason (not even I know why) so I never went in, being an "anti-vegetarian" (I don't hate vegetarians, I just cannot physically eat vegetables, it's a psychological thing)...some friends in town on tour insisted we go there and I was VERY pleasantly surprised to find that they had TONS of things I could eat, and they were very, very good! The line and wait was the only negative experience, but that is a sign of a great place and the food more than made up for it! I will go back many times if I ever have the time to wait in line!

The Witches Brew

WOW...the Witches Brew, just saw this on the Yelp front page and had a severe flashback...I used to hang out here with my goth friends (emo wasn't even a word back then) in Middle school in the early 90's, can't believe it's still around but it makes sense...it was the only place remotely cool to hang out in the area for underage kids and I am sure it still is....cool flavored sodas and great hot chocolate... and quite a crowd...

I used to come here a lot when I was younger as a patron, it was always a fun time but had not been there in several years....Recently, we did our World Zombie Day closing party here, the Zombie Nation Tour with the Living Dead Girlz, Strip For Pain: America's Most Dangerous Game Show and much more...it was a great time and the staff could not be more helpful....there was even a guy with a free photo booth that was getting tons of great pictures but I didn't get his contact info! He does different shows there, does anyone know who he is?

The best cost effective pizza place in my area by far, can never go wrong with the special, 2 pies and a 2-liter for $17! They also have all kinds of assorted food stuffs for every taste...i'm from NY so I am a bit picky about my pizza, but over the last 6 years in Philly it has grown on me! Rustica is also good but a bit pricey to eat on a regular basis....

My first stop in Philly ever, about 7 years ago I think, when Tritone had just opened we stopped through after a movie screening in Boston with the Troma Team...Rick welcomed us with open arms and we decided then that Philly was going to be the next stop on our tour...we liked it so much that we stayed...

Thought I don't get out to the Tritone as much as I would like these days, I still consider it one of my favorite spots in Philly if not the world!

Pizzeria Mozza

Awesome pizza, great atmosphere and best bartender EVER - BIG TASTY! Must hit up if you are in LA...also a great place to run into the odd celebrity...I ate pizza next to Rosanne's Sister (from the show) and saw Scott Ian shooting a cooking show...also no matter when I am in town, the great Harvey Keith (Mondo NY) is always there to share anecdotes from the Hollywood of old!
