This is a favorite local spot for me. The fish is always fresh and prepared well. My favorite nigiri/sashimi picks: albacore toro, ocean trout + Japanese wild hamachi.
The staff are very warm and friendly too. They *will* remember your name too! After going there for a little while, they made me feel like a rock star when they offered a personal set of bamboo chopsticks, in a cute little wooden case. Every time I dine there, they bring 'em out. Pretty sweet.
This spot can get busy on weekend nights, so reserve ahead if possible. If not, they'll do their best to squeeze you in.

If you're open to more than your average hole-in-the-waller, Thursdays are the best night here. Sharp electro spinning, fun dancing on the cozy dance floor and an eclectic crowd... weekends bring in more queens of the tragically glam sort. Well worth a sniff!
