Cabo Fish Taco

This is a very cool spot. I thought the atmosphere was very nice. It had a very authentic Mexican appeal with the furnishings, etc.

The drinks were 'OK' priced..the pre-meal complimentary salsa and chips were fantastic. I asked if they were fat and calorie free..and the waitress assured me that they were not...but the salsa was very fresh.

The tacos I ordered were good...seemed a bit dry, but I'm not sure exactly how juicy fish can be...it was my first time enjoying fish in a taco..so it was a good experience.

Great Y!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Shout out to a female staffer named Kendall (I'm sure I'm spelling her name wrong!). She helped me from the time I walked thru the door til the time I left.

Took the Cycling Class with Chris and (to date) it's the most intense Cycling class I've had the opportunity to participate in.

I recently visited this facility visiting Charlotte, NC. One note, I'm not sure why they have this 301 S. College st. address unless it's for mailing purposes only, because they is nothing that a new, unfamiliar visitor can use knowing this address that will help you find this Bat Cave. The address on the outside of the building says something TOTALLY different, and unrelated to '301' 'College' or 'St'. But, after calling the staff help me via telephone to find their location.

I was very impressed with the facility and its cleanliness. All cardio equipment has there own cleaning spray and towels, which is very convenient, in that you don't have to walk all around trying to find out where the cleaning materials are located.

I also took the Body Pump class with Sue M. and another young lady. The class was great and I'd suggest others to take it as well.

Also, I got a chance to watch the Zumba class (instructor by Ms. B (*I can't remember her name at the moment))..but it looked very entertaining to say the least.

Great job to the staff

I'll definitely recommend this facility and will consider returning to it on my next Charlotte, NC visit.

I used to travel further North to a bead shop I had found there until I ran across this local jewel. The locale is perfect being that I live in a nearby neighborhood.

Recently, I had my second and third visits to Beadniks. I was helped by a very helpful staffer Wendy. She helped me with everything I could have needed for all my projects and was patient enough to teach me what I felt I should or wanted to know myself!

I'd definitely go back. If there is one downside, it would be the pricing...you definitely don't just pay for the pricing of your beads, and the additional couple of bucks may have you wanting to see the itemized printout of what you paid for, but from my experience, this holds true for an make it yourself Jewelry spot..but it's all worth it when you walk out loving what you made and it's all worth while when it becomes the topic of conversation when you're out and about or when someone offers to buy your jewelry right off of you!

When I need some new conversation pieces or have a moment I want to commemorate a piece of jewlry for..I'll be at Beadniks..looking for Wendy!

New Kedzie Cleaners

Nice mom and pop cleaners. I have used this cleaners a few times and most recently purchased a Blazer froma Local Salvation Army that had som type of spotting galore over it...I took it in and the woman there took the time to tape out all the stain instances. I'm never in a huge rush to pick up dry cleaning..so I am never really holding a pressure candle over my laundrer (is that a word?!) to get me my items back the same day..some other reviews have differing opinions about this part of the service but I can't speak to that.

Anywho...upon return for my problematic blazer, upon review, some of the spotting was still there...I pointed some of the remain instances out and the gentleman there said leave it for a few more days and he'd re-work on it.

COOL. I didn't really have anything to lose by this..minus potentially being out of a few extra dollars...

Upon pickup the second time around, the gentle brought me out a spotLESS Blazer...and he seemed to be pleased withthe work, along with a voice in the back of the store (it was the woman I initially dropped the jacket off with) stating, "We got them all out!" I still have no idea how she even knew it was me!..but anyway...I've given them my business once more between that blazer drop-off and this review, and will continue to use them as long as I'm in the neighborhood! Thanks, and I appreciate your effort on my totally smoothed out, GQ-esque, yellow plaid Nautica blazer!

I have been shopping here for a couple of years now...the customer service is horrible...but honestly..who cares about Customer service at a Thrift Store...you a re looking for Treasures...hidden between Hangers...it's a bit cluttered, but that's what makes it personal...I would say what section of the store I most frequent, but I don't want none of you readers selling cloth treasures meant for me!

But, I've brought everything from home furniture, furnishings, dress clothes, kid clothes, etc. etc. etc.

I dig this store...if you see me there....holla at me and keep it short..cause I'm treasure hunting!

Chinese Yum Yum

OK...this new pillar of fine Chinese Food in the Greektown community is definitely a work in Progress..with regard to speed of service. I was able to usher in this business on it's opening day and the wait coupled with the line was (I believe) was a bit unexpected for them...I waited a good 20-25 minutes for my food.

The food is good...I like spicy entrees and I ordered the 'Flaming Hot Pepper'...it was a regular meal with about 3-4 dozen peppers just stir-fried into the meal...I like spicy, but not at the cost of literally biting into 4 dozen peppers individually. HA...but that's just menu learning.

My second visit I was a bit more familiar with the menu and knew to order the 'Yum Yum' box...which I would recommend to you as well....and made sure that my phone was charged up just in case another long wait ensued. The wait was minimal...I bit longer than what I would have wanted...but about 10 minutes nonetheless. My second visit meal consisted of the 'Combination Kung Pao Yum Yum Box.' All meal portions that I've enjoyed are very sizable...2 meals if you are conscious about your portion control!

I have since polished my 'Chinese Yum Yum Ordering Game' entirely and call my orders in! The usual time they give for pick-up is about 20 mins..which, after calling it in, and taking the time to get there, is usually about that time.

So, the moral of the story, call in unless you'd rather watch the cars on Jackson drive East bound or catch up friends, email, text, or whatever it is you do while waiting 10-20 minutes for food!....Oh and get the Yum Yum box!

This place is great. This was my second time visiting this location...The first I can't remember all the details about but obviously it wasn't a bad experience if I chose to go back a second time.

I went during lunch on a Wednesday...there were 3 of (I believe) 5 available 'Lanes' open for vehicle servicing. Being that it was so hot I thought I saw a Mirage of Hawaiian Hula Dancers...it turned out to be the service tech waving me in for servicing after about a 5 minute wait. I was able to sit in an Air Conditioned hut and briefly check email while the 3 minute servicing was started and completed.

I was on my way in no time, didn't require any form of payment, and I pulled off knowing that my car is less of an Environmental Hazard than other, un'Vehicle Emissions Tested' cars on the road!

So..this place gets a GF3.....Good Service..Fast..Friendly..and Free

This was my second visit to this establishment, the first being about 3 years ago. I had an enjoyable time the first time around and expected the same..however...my latest visit was not impressive at all.

It only took about 10 minutes to be seated, which was great...for a Mothers Day (Happy Mothers Day btw!)...I digress...but it seemed to take an extra long time between the time of the drink order to receiving the drinks and an even longer time to get our chef to our table from the time of our order.

Our waitress...although very nice, was old...may have been Ron (of Japans) mom or Aunt. But she was nice so I digress again.

OK...I don't know about you but I go to places like this for entertainment...I mean...thats what you pay for right..not for a $23 Chicken breast. Our chef was UNIMPRESSIVE. I believe that on the application, in the section that asks, "Can you cook and talk at the same time?" and "Do you know any knife or food tricks?"..this guy had better answered HECK NO for both...I even tried to get him to open up with some of my patented Fant Humor...but nothing worked...I even asked him if he learned this profession from University of Pheonix Online!..C'Mon...if that doesn't open the door for conversatino or at least a knife throwing I don't know what is.

I was disappointed in the showmanship and the chicken was dry!..C'Mon Ron..make sure yo Chef's got some kind o personality!..or maybe Ron of Japan should stay across seas!

OK....I rarely go to a Place for lunch and then upon getting back to work write a review. BUT, I will make a rare UNOFANT-exception. I will say that I was pleasantly surprised. From Roosevelt, you can't really see this place from the street, but upon approachin gthe front door, all you see is a very spacious, hardwood floored dining area. The line wasn't long but there were definitely patrons in the building, but it was so spacious, it felt extremely comfortable! The prices were reasonable for a Deli. The portions were good...I had a 'Amy's Turkey-O' sandwich (which was a little petite but it was one of the more 'Economical sandwiches on the menu..but still very tasty) and my colleague (yes I work and have colleagues!)...had a taco Salad which was huge!....The place was very clean...nice tunes playing overhead, and as an added bonus, well 2 bonuses rather, as I am extremely observant, #1. On the back of your receipt you can take an online survey that will generate a code for you to write down and you will receive a Free Cookie! about a dollar value!...Nice extra bonus in these recessionary times don't you think!..of and I can't forget Bonus #2..FREE SOFT SERVE WITH A CONE!...can't beat a good meal and then a little something swee (sweet + free = swee!)  as a Finale! Very good experience. I'll definitely be back Jason! Oh...and when I asked for a Menu to take with me...I was given a Satin Laminated High-Class menu! Come on...now that's Class and Service..when your menu can be cleaned off and not melt away! Go...I bet you'll co-sign every word!
