Do not use the curbside pick up here! We called in our order. When we got there, after waiting several minutes, the guy working the pick up said he didn't have an order with our name & went to get the manager. We just wanted to order... not wait 10 more minutes for the manager to come out. The manager came out, and said the same thing (trying to say we called a different location, but I had the number in my phone's outgoing calls, so we definitely didn't). We placed our order with the manager. We were offered nothing in exchange for the lost order or the super extra long wait time (it was another FORTY MINUTES before we got our food -- we could've eaten inside!)...

The car in front of us, whose order wasn't lost, somehow also waited 45 minutes for their food. It was just before 6pm & the parking lot wasn't even full.

When our food came out, we asked for cutlery and the guy ran in and came back out with ONE set. Never mind that we ordered TWO steaks and there were TWO people in the car. We told him we needed two as he was running off and he seemed confused. Not sure that the deal was with that...

When we got home, our steaks were both prepared incorrectly, and the side of fries with one of them consisted of ELEVEN FRENCH FRIES (much less than that's normally on the plate).

Totally awful.

Stopped in one afternoon during a day stop in Marfa on a road trip and absolutely loved it. We went in for a quick snack and ended up wandering up and down every aisle. Will definitely be back next time I'm in town.... This is the sort of place that makes me want to ditch the big city!

My sister and I had the Strawberry Banana Cabana & Four Berry Surprise smoothies and loved them. We were passing through Marfa for the day and were so happy to spot this place. The ladies working there were super friendly, too! Will definitely swing by again next time we're in town.

Soooooooo good! I ate here in July one day while passing through Marfa and really, really want to go back. The combo plate was perfection. Very friendly at the window, too! Will definitely make it a point to get to Marfa again so I can give it another go.

I looooove this place. The decor is relaxing, but nice and doesn't scream barbeque. They used environmentally-friendly items all over the place (from the tables, to the cups & straws, and paint on the walls). The whole place is a perfect balance of sophisticated and comfortable. The bar area especially shines.

I never went to Beaver's before Chef JJ got there, so I can't compare the old food to the current food. The current food is amazing, especially for the price. We tried a bit of everything and were more than satisfied across the board. The pulled pork and brisket and cheese dip especially stand out in my mind right now. But, honestly, we didn't get one thing we didn't love. The dessert menu has been entirely re-done from pre-JJ times, so (going by what I've heard about the old desserts), they're worth taking a look at now. I had some bacon ice cream that was delicious and totally unexpected.

Try the specials, drink a prohibition era-inspired drink, and eat piles of pulled pork. I highly recommend it. If I didn't live so far away (in Holland - but a Houston-native), I'd be a regular there!

Pronto is a casual Italian eatery. You order & pay at a counter, then someone brings your food a few minutes later. You can be in & out in under an hour (pronto!), the prices are on the low end & the food is good. There is plenty of parking, a to go counter & curbside pick up if you call in an order.

I just wish the booths were a bit more comfortable (but then I guess people would sit in them too long & mess up the "pronto" aspect of the place).

It's nice having an eat-while-you-watch theater nearby. The tickets are reasonably priced & you can get the classic soda & popcorn combo  for dollars less than at a regular theater. The salads are huge. The Garlic Chicken Pizza is delicious. The service is quick and my order has never been screwed up.

One problem though: If seeing the screen without any obstructions is important to you, sit in a seat at the counter (instead of the seats with the two-person table, you'll know it when you see it). I'm 5'9" and I have a problem seeing over the people at the counter in front of me when I sit at a table (the chairs are at the same level). No big deal if they're not crowded, but on a busy Friday night, this made it tough to find a seat where I could get a good view of the screen.

Eating here is always a great experience! Even when the drive thru line is wrapped around the building, you can go inside & find a person manning every register with a smile on their face waiting for the people willing to get out of the cars for food.

The staff is always smiling & working quickly (without making you feel like they're trying to shove you out the door). Everything looks clean & inviting. There is nothing they could do (other than offer a frequent buyer discount card) that could make the experience better!

Try the milkshakes. Yum!

Suburban Extended Stay

Simple, standard rooms with a tiny kitchen and just the basics.  The water pressure in the showers is surprisingly excellent. It's affordable & clean (with housekeeping visiting every Thursday). There are 2 things keeping me from rating it higher: 1. The advertised wireless internet was down almost the entire 2 weeks we were there, and when we went to the front desk to ask about it, the woman working there said "it happens all the time" and said we'd just have to wait and see if it comes back up (it didn't for several days & she showed no initiative in fixing the issue); and 2. The room was advertised to have a Queen sized bed, but actually had a Full (which resulted in my very tall boyfriend being longer than the bed).
