With a nice atmosphere and all the expected drinks, The Daily Brew is a great place to get your coffee fix. They've got plenty of seating, lunch options & free wifi to make you want to stick around.

Pronto is a casual Italian eatery. You order & pay at a counter, then someone brings your food a few minutes later. You can be in & out in under an hour (pronto!), the prices are on the low end & the food is good. There is plenty of parking, a to go counter & curbside pick up if you call in an order.
I just wish the booths were a bit more comfortable (but then I guess people would sit in them too long & mess up the "pronto" aspect of the place).

It's nice having an eat-while-you-watch theater nearby. The tickets are reasonably priced & you can get the classic soda & popcorn combo for dollars less than at a regular theater. The salads are huge. The Garlic Chicken Pizza is delicious. The service is quick and my order has never been screwed up.
One problem though: If seeing the screen without any obstructions is important to you, sit in a seat at the counter (instead of the seats with the two-person table, you'll know it when you see it). I'm 5'9" and I have a problem seeing over the people at the counter in front of me when I sit at a table (the chairs are at the same level). No big deal if they're not crowded, but on a busy Friday night, this made it tough to find a seat where I could get a good view of the screen.

Eating here is always a great experience! Even when the drive thru line is wrapped around the building, you can go inside & find a person manning every register with a smile on their face waiting for the people willing to get out of the cars for food.
The staff is always smiling & working quickly (without making you feel like they're trying to shove you out the door). Everything looks clean & inviting. There is nothing they could do (other than offer a frequent buyer discount card) that could make the experience better!
Try the milkshakes. Yum!

Simple, standard rooms with a tiny kitchen and just the basics. The water pressure in the showers is surprisingly excellent. It's affordable & clean (with housekeeping visiting every Thursday). There are 2 things keeping me from rating it higher: 1. The advertised wireless internet was down almost the entire 2 weeks we were there, and when we went to the front desk to ask about it, the woman working there said "it happens all the time" and said we'd just have to wait and see if it comes back up (it didn't for several days & she showed no initiative in fixing the issue); and 2. The room was advertised to have a Queen sized bed, but actually had a Full (which resulted in my very tall boyfriend being longer than the bed).

I never went to Beaver's before Chef JJ got there, so I can't compare the old food to the current food. The current food is amazing, especially for the price. We tried a bit of everything and were more than satisfied across the board. The pulled pork and brisket and cheese dip especially stand out in my mind right now. But, honestly, we didn't get one thing we didn't love. The dessert menu has been entirely re-done from pre-JJ times, so (going by what I've heard about the old desserts), they're worth taking a look at now. I had some bacon ice cream that was delicious and totally unexpected.
Try the specials, drink a prohibition era-inspired drink, and eat piles of pulled pork. I highly recommend it. If I didn't live so far away (in Holland - but a Houston-native), I'd be a regular there!
