Sevan Garden & Barbeque House
Category: Restaurants
Neighborhood: Downtown
It was a difficult decision which place to try but we opted for Sevan Garden. The server (but could have been the owner) was very friendly and greeted us outside to tell us about his menu and what he recommended.
I ordered their Greek salad and my husband ordered the number 5 which was spicy beef.
My husbands side salad arrived along with some pita and hummus. Both were very good. Actually, I though that salad was mine and was thinking wow I thought it had more to it. It DID!
Shortly our food arrived and I had a HUGE salad with feta, tomatos, cumcumbers, olives...really really good.
My husbands beef thing he told me it was very good and NOT overcooked like a lot of places tend to do. I would definitely recommend checking this place out....IF you can find it.

Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar

We sat in the bar area and my husband ordered a steak sandwich [rare] and I ordered a Caesar Salad with extra anchovies.
I noticed while we were waiting they were still allowing people to come in and order from the full menu even though it was past 10pm when they close which is great but they were still doing some good business.
Our sandwich and salad arrived and my husbands steak WAS as ordered rare which if you like rare steaks it is difficult to get a restaurant to get the steak cooked as ordered.
I really wanted a bit of his sandwich but I stole one of those actually both of those huge onion rings on his plate (they are very lightly tempura like batter, not greasy and huge...yum). My salad was very good I wish they used white anchovies but most restaurants or should I say hardly any restaurant have white anchovies.
Oh a shout out to Chuck. He was our server.
We sat outside and it was a bit chilly but they had the heaters on which made it nice. I ordered the Chile Relleno which is basically the only thing I can eat at Mexican restaurants since I quit eating meat.
Chile Rellenos are a food that seems similar at many places but if you eat them enough you can appreciate the ok ones from the really good ones.
El Cholo's are pretty darn good. Just a thin egg batter, just enough sauce and cheese and the chili was cooked to perfection. Not too soggy but not too crunchy.

That's exactly what the manager told me when I told him how unhappy I was with my food with a big grin on his face.
I have NEVER seen such bad customer service in my life. No...oh I am so sorry you didn't like it...no...can I make you something else? Just basically...HEY...I AM A BIG DEAL HERE AND IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT SHOVE IT!!!!.
I want to point out that I worked for Disney in Food and Beverage for almost 20 years and I know how customer service is suppose to work. Also, I have written over 1,200 reviews and I have to say I have been a lot nicer than I should be sometimes and I can only guess that I probably have given 1 stars out only a few times.
About the food. I ordered their veggie sandwich that came with avocado spread, cucumbers, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, olives and oil and vinegar.
It came out like the most disgusting thing I have ever seen. The avocado spread was a watery green mush, they put some peppers with some nasty sludge, the lettuce was slimy.
Honestly it looked like when you were a kid and you went to open your lunchbox to eat and after the sandwich had been sitting there in your classroom all day it kind of fermented into something else....GROSS!
My husband ordered the Peppered Steak Hoagie and he couldn't eat it because the meat was so over cooked it was like raw hide and it had THE SAME SLUDGE PEPPER stuff on it.
I walked in and asked for the manager...showed him the sandwiches and...well you know the rest.
I don't give a ... how you are rated and that you were on a food tv program. When I worked for Disney everyone loved Disney and they make bank too but when someone is unhappy you don't say ...Too bad chick everyone else loves us...you do what you can to make the customer happy. Their motto was EVERYONE IS A VIP!
Maybe I ordered the wrong food but NO ONE should be treated like that Manager treated me today!!!
As I told that manager when I left...YELP YOU LATER!

I came here tonight with a group of friends. I ordered the Mahi Mahi special and my SO ordered the Filet "rare".
My fish was dry and overcooked and my SO's fillet was "medium" on the inside and "well" on the outside...not rare as order. They offered to bring him a new one but there were about 12 of us and everyone was well into their dinner and he did not want to wait for another steak.
Neither one of us ate much of our food. The salad was ok.
The real kicker is the price tag for such blah food.
I know that the DG usually has decent food but not this time. I won't be back.

Chipotle Mexican Grill

I like Chipotle and they are always busy at every location I go to. I now get the veggie burrito since I quit eating meat and it's pretty decent.
What I didn't like about this location was that the line was super long AND not moving. They must have had 8 people working behind the counter but nothing was getting done and when it was done many of the orders were wrong. Usually Chipotles are very efficient and I dont mind the lines are long because the waits are short but not here.
Maybe it was just a bad day. I will iphone App my order next time.

I came here to find a pair of plain black slacks and I couldn't find any then I asked someone that works there and they just grinned like..duh...of course we don't. Another employee asked if I found everything I needed and I said well actually no...you don't have plain black slacks and he just smiled too as though he knows they don't have any normal clothes.
If you like Charter Club or Ecko or Roca with lots of embellishments you will love this store.

I came here yesterday. I usually get a California burrito and take home half but I wasn't going home any time soon so I ordered the Baja Fish Taco.
After I ordered I waited a bit and thought what is taking so long but I stood up and could see my fish was being cooked fresh to order.
When I received my taco the piece of fish was fairly large and tasted really good. My favorite thing about La Salsa is their Habanero Salsa which is hot but has good flavor too and I love having the condiments like cilantro, onion....
