This is a Danish Bakery located in the Luma building and is just steps from my new home. I don't like sweets but I do love the smell and the pastries look divine but...I came here for a sandwich.
I had their lunch special which was a drink and a sandwich. I ordered a tuna sandwich on their fresh baked bread and it was delicious and under $6.
If you order ice tea they have a choice of teas and then they make hot tea and ice it so it is fresh and tasty.
From the outside the bakery looks a bit stark but don't let that stop you and if you read the other reviews you will read the pastries are amazing.
Oh and the name is pronounced Hoo-geh

I think they only do breakfast but I could be wrong but breakfast is fantastic and HUGE. I just like to order their 1 egg, hash browns and choice of toast or biscuits and gravy. Their biscuits and gravy is great (eat it first because it tastes much better hot). I order my egg poached and they don't have a problem with that (some places do). I was with a friend that ordered a short stack and each pancake is bigger than the plate so unless you are super hungry I recommend just ordering one pancake.
The pancake although enormous in size is still cooked right...no doughy center and very tasty.

I got out my iPhone and decided to see if the reviews looked good and they did so I decided to try them for myself. I ordered the falafel pita and I noticed a sign about buying their hot sauce and I love hot sauce so I asked to have a side of that.
My falafel came fairly quickly since they just opened. The salad that came with it was good with very tasty salad dressing and the falafel was very good but that hot sauce was amazing. It was green and I am not sure what it was made of but it was spicy good with maybe a hint of mint.
I was very happy with my lunch and the service I received.

I like Quiznos but the one in Redondo that was by my former home sucked ass and now it is closed. I knew that crazy weird lady would shut the place down.
Luckily no crazy weird lady working here and it's just as close as my old one was to me.
The service was good but a bit slow. I like that they have some outside tables too.

If you are on the suite level/premier level you it will be easy to access but if you are not you need to go to the VIP door on the main concourse near the TEAM LA store and show them your card. When it is busy there may be a wait to get in if they are full.
The staff is very friendly and they give you a free chocolate when you check out.
FYI when the new EXPO line opens which will be soon you can take the train to La Cienega and it is just a block from the station.

I have been coming here at least once a week for the past couple years. I am not a huge sweets fan so I come and get sandwiches on their fresh baked bread for lunch.
I recently decided to try the ham and cheese croissant for breakfast. It's sooo good. I think I may get addicted to those.
Oh yeah...I did come here last week with some friends/yelpers and we tried some of the pastries. I really like the Goose Breast.
What is goose breast? Not telling...I guess you better go to Hygge and try it yourself.
