I really want to like this place, because it's only a short walk from my friend's apartment and the beer is good. Came here to try to study while my friends messed around, but it might've been better at my friend's...

i got such a pretentious vibe from the barista, but I swear to god I remember a Postal Service song over the speakers. C'mon. Postal Service. And the music was pretty loud. I could barely talk to the guy next to me.  They didn't even have wifi (unless I asked the wrong person). Half the food was unavail, and only had what seemed like Costco bagels left.

The patrons were definitely cool, and showed me the password to what I believe was the neighboring wifi.

But yeah...

I don't know why this place only got three stars, but I'm also a college student that thinks Preggo sauce is the bee's knees.

Outdoor seating is awesome, all year round. Food was fine for the fine dining price. They made a mean peach martini. Waitstaff served each and every need, and did not hesitate to refill our alcohol or answer questions.

Would definitely return if I'm in the plaza shopping

Warby Parker

I was declared blind in the 4th grade, and given a pair of glasses. Kids made fun of me, and so I started wearing contacts in the 5th grade. Glasses have always been too ugly, looked better at the optometrist's office in their weird fluorescent lighting, never fit my face, or were sure to be the barrier to a social life.  So, no no no. I am now 20 years old, and have refused to wear glasses since.

Yes, even on days when I've had pink eye. TMI, but whatever.

And then Warby Parker came along. Unbelievable. Their selection is amazing, modern, and fits what I'm feelin' right now. They have a good concept (and Visionspring is the shit). They have the most amazing customer service and I was able to ask a ton of questions and requests before ordering. They offered to pay for me to measure my monocular pupillary distance/whatever, just in case I didn't already have it. The whole shindig was quick and easy, fun even. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, really... and the best part is, I could've walked away during any part of the process if I was not 110% happy.

But I didn't. And so, for the first time, I found a pair of glasses that I've worn-yup-in public.

MAYBE I'M JUST NOT COOL ENOUGH TO UNDERSTAND THIS FONDUE THING

This was like a "try this once in your entire life" moment, like sky diving or tripping on acid, in which you decide that you'l never do it again because you were feeling a combination of  "wtf", "wait, so it's over now, right?", "wait, are we're still not done yet?", "ok, this is, interesting, but still wtf" the entire time and it was, all in all, let's be  honest, just a bad trip.

It's not even the price that makes me go "wtf", I thought the price was ok for the concept. It was just the entire fondue thing.

I just can't comprehend why I have to cook my own food when I paid such a shit-ton of money for it. I went out for a reason, duh. Also, I'm careless enough of a person to mix food I've touched with raw meat with food that isn't.

I mean, okay, the service was great. Our waitress was adorable, but I never thought my "Big Night Out" would be over.

Maybe I'll come back for dessert?

And just kidding 'bout the acid ha

1) Bouncer definitely had tequila in his coffee mug
2) Didn't ask me for an ID (let's be honest, I'm Asian, I look like I'm 12)
3) The girls always came to me, despite coming with a party of 20
4) Girls get in for free

Best action I've ever gotten for $2, so 5 stars!

I'm kind of lame, so I wasn't fully acclimated to the hip SF culture yet when I first found myself at Blue Bottle. I came to my first day of work with a cup of -- god forbid -- Starbuck's coffee. Never again, never again, I swear. I'm cool, I can hang, y'all, I promise. Good thing I was smart enough to chuck it (when nobody was looking, duh) when I met up with my staff here at Blue Bottle.

This is the, hands down, one of the best cafes that I've ever been to. Everything is so, so, so good. Nicely decorated and you get good vibes.

For the sake of your rep, bro ... don't make the same mistake I did.

No bueno, maybe my SO and I not good enough of Asians to understand the Asian buffet concept...

If you do, more power to you, because you get so much for so little money!

Food's OK and cheap ($9.99 for lunch buffet) for the poor, hungry college soul coming back to home sweet San Pornando Valley for a visit, but I rather avoid any places that are so crowded that I feel like I'm starting shit with everyone.

I swear to god I will die if I start a fight with anyone.

Shalimar

Maybe I didn't get the right food? Maybe it was the guy that screamed "suck my fucking dick" outside the restaurant?

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the Tenderloin. The Tenderloin is probably my favorite part of San Francisco, because there's so much character and history. And you learn how to take care of yourself, if you ever find yourself walking through the Tenderloin alone at odd hours of the night.

So I had expectations for Shalimar. But ... wow. The food was so so so so greasy. My friend got something with chickpeas that was good, but I couldn't enjoy it because our naan was so overcooked. They basically ignored my friends and I (Us: "What should we get?" Guy: [hands us a menu]) Maybe they were busy. Who knows, but I hate giving businesses bad reviews, especially a place that seems to be so popular. Someone take me back and prove me wrong.

A great to place to play at... marijuana peddlers get old, but you gotta admire them for persistance (both clubs and homeless kids). Venice has a little something for everyone, unless you're ... like, lame. Always bring some cash so you can pick up some goodies. Def my go to place for sunglasses and t-shirts.

Full of character and pizazz; there are two mariachi bands everyday if you are in the dancing mood.

Your basic flea market, so none of the quality of the stuff is that good. Give things a day or two to break. Food can be found elsewhere, without having to deal with the little space (I'm claustrophobic). Some of the stores are very nice and will work with your budget, while some will try to make you pay full price for things that will break.

This is a great place to check out a couple times and you definitely should, but you'll know what I'm talking about when you go... If you have a party and want to buy stuff that you won't use more than once, this is a great place to check out! Support the shops! Otherwise, I can't see myself going here that much...
