I actually haven't tried the 'proper seating' eating at The Majestic (even though I've heard many praise that, too). But the lunch at the bar is clearly the best lunch _and_ the best bargain lunch of Old Town (in the top price/deliciousness ranking).
Check it out. Lunch can't really get much better with $12 (or so).

Surely not your fancy gourmet experience but for what it aims at it's as good as it gets: Fast, inexpensive, delicious dishes made from fresh ingredients. And they also have a good delivery service.
This is my favorite "fast food" restaurant in DC area. Beats the heck out of any others and also a bunch of "more serious" restaurants.
My favorite is the Asian coconut curry but you should also try the Shanghai feast (a vegetarian dish).

Best design shop in Old Town.
Not _only_ because Peter has such a nice selection of Finnish Design (Iittala and often all kinds of more-difficult-to-find classics).

Based on my general check-up visit to Q Street MDs (Dr. Ang) I can warmly recommend the service.
The atmosphere is laid back but the people know their stuff and they have a very nice health record system that keep tabs on your health records and data. They also have an in-house lab that gives quick results (while you see the doctor) on most of the basic tests that they take during routine checkups. This was really nice as I didn't need to go to a lab separately nor wait for the results.
On scheduling:
"If your medical problem is urgent, please call our office for a same day appointment."
