My fiance and I found the Nest Bed to be the perfect getaway during our New Year's Eve trip to the Poconos. The house itself is incredibly gorgeous and surrounded by breathtaking nature. Although the drive to Milford might be 20 minutes away or the ski resorts may be a half hour drive, the scenery and views are stunning and make it well worth the trips. The Nest Bed is perfect for friends, couples, or family to go out and unwind and have fun. We had dinner there, which Marko and Sally made according to our tastes (they made us swoon with the salmon and mushroom risotto and homemade applesauce) and dressed beautifully. Breakfasts were equally as delicious, with fresh-squeezed orange juice that made our mornings complete.

We were really impressed with the attention to detail and how warm the home made us feel with its inviting character, which is probably due to Marko and Sally's effortless charm. We were absolutely in love with Tulo, who couldn't have been nicer or more well behaved. He even greeted us in the mornings by grabbing a magazine or brochure...I could've gotten used to that. We're definitely going through Tulo withdrawal now that we're back home!

The pinball machines, pool table, and ping pong table in the basement definitely entertained us and gave it that extra dose of fun. We also loved the steam showers, with subway and honeycomb tiles that I wished we could take with us.

Their waffle cones and flavor selections are much appreciated on a hot day. The banana peanut butter flavor was especially tasty and the ice cream flavor names are clever and cute. The serving sizes are generous, which is always a plus. I think most people are either Kohr Bros. fans or George's fans, but I think both are delicious and try to get one of each when I'm on vacation.

It isn't a vacation if we don't go to Goofy Golf before heading home. Despite the uneven greens and faded animals, Goofy Golf is a great tradition for families trying to out-mini golf each other. The hippo eating a hoagie is my personal favorite. My only criticism is that the owner might want to consider changing up the song that plays on a loop at the entrance. It's been years of "Who let the dogs out?" and we are craving some new tunes.

Spadafora's might appear to be a bit of a dive from the outside, but the fried shrimp more than makes up for the somewhat cramped atmosphere. I always try to visit during our annual family vacation.

I was really impressed with the service at the Island Grill Restaurant when our party of 14 came in for dinner one busy evening. The waiter was a total pro and didn't make a single mistake. The food was unbelievably tasty and it was a plus that they offered so many fresh fish options. We were also pleased that they allowed reservations, as a lot of busy restaurants don't, especially during the 4th of July weekend. Very excited to come back next year so I can have some more shark bites. Nom.

My boyfriend and I recently enjoyed smoothies on the boardwalk from Bryn and Dane's. The prices were affordable and the flavor of my smoothie (Jackson Drive) was delicious. It was a nice surprise tasting actual chunks of mango instead of the standard flavored syrup that is often found on boardwalks. We were excited to see the wraps and other options for future boardwalk cravings. When I went to Google "Bryn and Dane's," I discovered there is a location right in our own backyard in Horsham, PA. We'll definitely keep frequenting the restaurant as happy customers when we head home from vacation!

My boyfriend and I went inside JoJo's so he could order a slice of pizza. I had my nachos from another restaurant's takeout in my hands when the employee asked if I had food from another establishment. Once she found out I had indeed been holding nachos from another boardwalk restaurant, she said we weren't allowed to eat inside. They had one person in their restaurant, so it's not like all of the tables were filled up and they didn't have room for me and my sad box of nachos. My boyfriend told her he wasn't interested in the pizza anymore and she lost our business to another pizza place. When there are dozens of pizza options on the boardwalk, you'd think the employees would make an attempt to make themselves stand out with superior customer service. Instead, JoJo's motivated me to walk home and add a business to Yelp just so I could give them one star. I hope I save someone else from having to deal with their terrible customer service.

Never before visiting Fringe have I ever liked my hair. I am so lucky to have stumbled upon Lena at Fringe thanks to a friend's 5-star review on Yelp. I consider Lena a friend now, after getting my hair cut by her for nearly 2 years now. She is a lot of fun to talk to and always makes me feel like I'm at home, even if I make crazy remarks while in the styling chair. Lena also makes me feel totally normal, even though I make an ass of myself when I'm getting my eyebrows waxed because I have to scream like a nut job. She has an amazing attention to detail and the entire staff is always warm and welcoming...plus there's a cute kitty that gives great massages!

I'm not sure I've ever left a restaurant because of being totally ignored by a waitress for over 15 minutes. We were given our menu and ignored for a very long time before shrugging and deciding to leave. It's a shame, I was looking forward to the French onion soup!

Getting Kohr Bros Custard before we leave our annual Ocean City, NJ vacation is an absolute must! The soft serve is really amazing with sprinkles and tastes even better when you have the priceless entertainment of sitting on a bench and people watching on the boardwalk.
