This place is fun on a Friday night. Seems like there are a lot of locals in the house after work. The food is a little pricey for what you get but the drink specials make up for it. We will be back for happy hour next time we visit Charleston.
This restaurant doesn't get five stars from me only because it is tucked away in a strip center. This hurts the ambiance but doesn't hurt the quality of the food or the service. Both are excellent.
Tip #1: ask for Michael to serve you.
Tip #2: Get a bottle of wine. They have nice selection of Italian reds.
Tip #3: Save room for dessert. They are homemade and superb.
We made our second trip to Vincenzo's this weekend because we liked it so much the first time around. This time was not as good, due to some tough eggplant in my wife's Eggplant Parm.
They have a really nice selection of wines by the glass. I had the FILETTO AL MARSALA CON FUNGHI -- filet medallions in a mushroom Marsala sauce. It was excellent - flavorful and cooked to the perfect temperature.
The service was top-notch - friendly and solicitous without being annoying. We'll go back, despite the tough eggplant.
Mario and Iris Bucci serve up mostly Northern Italian food in this quiet restaurant near Davidson College. They seem to stagger their seating so that all the tables around you aren't full. It's quiet, so you can carry on a conversation with your companions without yelling or straining to hear. They have a nice selection of Italian wines, and the food is consistently good. You'll feel most comfortable there if you dress in business casual attire.

Love this place. A great place to go meet friends, where you can actually have a conversation without being drowned out by the music. Excellent selection of wines by the glass and bottle. Thanks to the owners, Alex and Alain, as well as the flocked bordello style wallpaper, the place has a nice French vibe.
