I don't understand the 4-star average. I'm usually pretty generous with my Yelp reviews... I try to look for the GOOD things about an establishment, as opposed to the bad.
Unfortunately, I was greatly disappointed.
This past Saturday, I had a meeting here with one of my old high school teachers (from 10 years ago!)... anyhow, on to business:

The menu online doesn't do the real menu justice. There are TONS of options on the real menu.  I chose a grilled veggie sandwich (no, I'm not a vegetarian but it looked damn good... give me a break), that was "recommended by Shawna," in bold letters on the menu.  The sandwich was advertised as egg whites, avocado, lite mayo, grilled jalapenos, spinach and swiss cheese on a wheat roll.  Sounds good, right? I'm not a fan of mayo, so I asked for it to be substituted with mustard.  Oh, and you get your choice of a fruit cup or chips & salsa.

You know what I got? For those of you familiar with SANDWICH THINS, that was my wheat roll. FOR $7.95?!?! ARE YOU EFFING KIDDING ME?  On the wheat roll was a thin egg "patty," a few slices of avocado, a sprinkling of swiss cheese, MAYBE two grilled jalapeno rings and a handful of spinach.  They also forgot to bring the mustard.  When they plopped that in front of me with a TINY cup of fruit cocktail (no more than 3 forkfuls worth) I almost died.

However, I ate it. It was decent. But not $7.95 decent.
The service was slow, but they were busy.

On the other hand, my lunch date's food looked plentiful and tasty.  He didn't comment on it, so I didn't get the final verdict.

I probably won't be back, I'm definitely disappointed with my experience.

I don't know why I keep deciding to give this place a try.
The Bacon Burger is disgusting, the chips are flimsy and the service sucked once again.
I'm sure I'll find myself crawling back to Chili's in another 6-12 months... but c'mon guys, you're corporate: GET YOUR CRAP TOGETHER... please.

The first server we had SUCKED and she basically ignored us while catering to the other tables in her section, but another guy took over and he kicked ass. He got his 20% tip.  :)

Once again, cannot complain.
Had a SUSHI BINGE here a couple of nights ago... made a reservation for 12... the unlimited rolls special and 99 cent large sake blew me away.
Also, the service was AMAZING.  We had a large table in the back and it even has buttons that you can press for service.  The server was prompt and wonderful at splitting the checks/orders and got everything right.
We will be back for another Sushi Binge as their sushi is darn good, and service is impeccable.

GREAT for larger parties.

http://Bomb.com... this place was DEFINITELY worth travelling out to BFE for (seeing that I live in Fair Oaks, it's quite a trek).  
I would ilke to start by saying the decor in here is AMAZING... the margaritas (on the rocks, with salt) are delicious and pack some punch, and the guacamole is fantastic.
Came here a few weeks back for my friends birthday party.  Unfortunately they don't take reservations, but we only had to wait about 30 minutes for a party of 10 on a Thurs night. Not bad. Everyone seemed to be thrilled with their food. I got a chicken taco salad and it was huge and the ingredients were fresh, and delish.
I was feeling gluttonous so I had a bite of my fiancees chimichanga and z..o...mmm...g...
I will be back to BFE for this gem of deliciousness. Great find :)

Came here for some late night munchies... I may or may not have been under the influence of one or 5 drinks, but the food was good. Darn good. Way better than Denny's.

We also got way too much food.
$5 Nachos: tons of guac & very tasty appetizer
Timber House French Dip: YUM!!!!!! Yes, it was my first French Dip but there was plenty of cheese, the meat and onions were tasty and it was all around delish.
Huevos Rancheros: Also good, just the right amount of kick.

The service was friendly and prompt.  We were thrilled that this place was open 24/7 as the late night menu at MontBleu was not looking too appetizing. :)

There are some ups and downs to this hotel, but overall... I am a fan.  I snagged a room for $55 on a Friday night.  I understand this must be because there is NO SNOW in Tahoe- but that is a killer deal.  For $55, I don't expect much.  Sure, the rooms may be a bit tacky but they are comfortable and most importantly: CLEAN! The TV's may need to be updated, and the noise level was kinda lame ( I could hear another rooms shower, but it didn't bother me as it was early in the evening ).  

I think that unlike some of the other hotel/casinos on the "strip," MontBleu seems to cater to the younger crowd, which is not a problem as I am in my 20s. Their "Social Networking" specials were GREAT.  24/7 Happy Hour with $1.50 PBR's, $6 pitchers and $4 well drinks. I'm not complaining.  

I didn't try any of the food here, as it was a whirwind trip- but we had absolutely no issues with the hotel and if the price is right... we will be back.  That being said, I don't think I'd pay $200 for one of these rooms. Bahaha.

I freakin love this place.  If I get into or leave South Lake Tahoe before 2 PM, then I ALWAYS stop here... and get the same thing. Build your own salad!! Sounds so "blah," but I am a salad freak and they are DELISH.  It's such a home-y little place with a HUGE selection of food.  My better half got the Reuben with hash browns and absolutely loved it.

The cool thing about the salads is that you get to pick 10 different toppings and everything is so fresh.  I get a bunch of their fat free tomato dressing on the side... I asked our waitress if it was made in house and she even told me how to make it myself at home.  

It's not CHEAP like a lot of little breakfast shacks, but it is well worth the $7-10 you will pay for your entree. The portions are huge and the food is great.

Yelp did me dirty... very dirty.  
I was in South Lake Tahoe last night and itchin' for some sushi. After checking reviews, we decided that Naked Fish would be a good spot.
The ambiance of the place was nice, plenty of seating.  We started with a large hot sake (can't mess that one up), some edamame and Green Mussels.  The edamame was hot and lightly salted with sea salt (YUM!) and the mussels were VERY tasty.  I was very excited to get our rolls.
Shorly after, the yellowtail roll, sunburn and spider rolls all arrived.
The first thing that I noticed was the rice was gray and almost transparent. Odd. The second thing that I noticed was that all three rolls tasted almost IDENTICAL.  I think this has to do with the rice... I'm not sure if it was soaked to long, or what, but the taste of the rice really killed it.  When I order three different rolls, I want them to taste unique and different- not the same.  
We ate our meal and paid the $50 bill + tip (the server was prompt, friendly, and great... no complaints there) and left feeling very unsatisfied.

Since most other people seem to LOVE this place, I am really hoping that it was just a bad batch of rice and the sushi is actually great.

I can't believe that I haven't been here in 4-5 years.  This place is just a great "staple."  The best part, is that you can be completely gluttonous if you wish (double wrapped burrito loaded with sour cream & cheese) OR if you're feeling light, you can get a salad or a bowl.  
I opted for a bowl with brown cilantro rice (UM YAY points for having brown rice...), black beans, chicken, hot salsa, a tiny bit of sour cream and cheese, lettuce and hot salsa.  It was huge and I couldn't even finish the dang thing... but it was delicious and I think definitely worth the $6.50.

I will be back when I'm itchin for another bowl.

The only reason I deducted a star is because it's kind of stressful to order because they are moving people through the line FAST.  Oh well!
