We walked in to a whole table of distinguished gentlemen who might have been fraternity brothers a few moons back. They were as welcoming as everyone there, and we had a fantastic lunch. Their grilled sandwiches are delicious, with Parmesan cheese baked into the bread. We made friends and had great food and awesome beers. We walked around the neighborhood and felt like we'd spent the afternoon out of town.

Spectacular meal! We shared the beef skewers, the crab hand roll, the inari hot pocket, and the dry ramen. Each dish had a unique flavor and was excellent. I really loved the dry ramen. The noodles had an excellent bite.

My cocktail with Calvados and cranberry was fabulous, and the service was excellent. I can't wait to go back in the summer when we can sit outside.

Amy is currently watching our dog in our home when we need to go out for a few hours because our dog cannot be left alone (barking issues). Our dog LOVES Amy and does very well under her care. Amy is knowledgeable, caring, dependable, and we feel so grateful to have found her. She has made our lives immeasurably easier by taking such great care of our fur kid.

Love-a, Love-a, Love-a!

I was hungry and exhausted when I got there on a Tuesday night. My server offered up a great lower alcohol beer (Clem's Cream Ale - 4%) which totally hit the spot (and the first time I'd had beer on Nitro. Now I'm a big fan).

We were sad we didn't get the Trinity fries, but I have to say that my Lobster Mac /n Cheese was AH-MAY-ZING. Buttery, plenty of big chunks of lobster, perfectly cheesy. Priced pretty well too considering a tablecloth restaurant would have charged over $20 for a plate like that.

Our servers were beyond accommodating and super helpful since we had a baby with us. Everyone loved their dishes (Elk Meatloaf and the Pork sandwich). Seriously, I can't wait to go back.

Thank Goodness for Yelp or I wouldn't even know there was a downstairs!

We were introduced to Theresa and Brian through good friends and couldn't have gotten a better recommendation. Of course, we were dream clients, that goes without saying, but they made property buying from out of town super easy. (They do help people in town too!)

Theresa was super responsive and available when we needed her, and their Docu-sign documents were handy so we could complete everything online from another town and expedite the process. What could have been a big headache with a bank-owned property was almost effortless with Theresa's help. She was always there for us with answers to our questions, she had great sympathy when the process slowed on the bank's end, and her thoughtful gestures along the way were much appreciated.

While I don't ever want to grow out of the great place we got, at least I'll know we'll be in good hands if we eventually need something bigger.

This location is dangerously close to our new pad. I cannot keep eating pastries for breakfast, but we will be running over for coffee until we get a coffee maker. Every pastry is ridiculously good - an amazing worship-worthy cheese danish. I think I may have to pretend for a while that it's not there. Love you, GCBC!

I can't give that fifth star to the "Stand in line forever" restaurants. I just can't.

Not that Screen Door doesn't deserve it, because I'm drooling all over again just thinking about brunch. We agreed to sit outside just so the wait wouldn't be 45 minutes. It was more like 15-20 and our teeth were chattering on an unseasonable May morning, but the minute the rhubarb turnovers showed up I didn't care if I was sitting on an iceberg.

My Migas were actually just ok, but between the Praline Bacon and Chris' Po Boy I had ceased to care about minor incidentals. I'd pay just to watch the stacks of fried chicken and waffles get delivered. Service was fantastic, food was both gorgeous and delicious, a nap was necessary. Can't wait to go back, even if it means standing in line.

Sometimes you play your cards right and find yourselves seated rapidly and eating some of the best pizza to be found. We had two pies: 1/2 Margherita, 1/2 Pig & Pineapple, 1/2 Sausage & Peppers & 1/2 Cappocola and Nicoise olives (my hands-down favorite).

I'm seriously ruined for all other pizza, but I'm just not sure I could endure the average wait. I'd definitely have to go again on an odd night. I'm just not used to this whole waiting around thing and when I'm hungry, I'M HUNGRY. But this pizza is sooo worth it.

It is what it is, and it is within walking distance from our new Portland pad. Service was ok, beer was good (but I rarely drink beer), my soup (mushroom) and chopped salad were pretty good, and the mini-corndogs still sound tempting. Chris had the burger which he said was also very good.

I figure if servers are gonna stand around and chatter then I have every to chatter back in order to get their attention, get the bill, etc. For that reason, it feels comfy to me. Like I said, it is what it is.

I judge all sushi places by their California Roll. This one was excellent. Service was good, and my spicy tuna roll was very good even though I've decided that my foray into raw fish is over. It's a texture thing. I'd say this is a super solid sushi restaurant. I just wish their menu was a little more extensive.
