Stopped in for some Sunday shopping with a friend and got a very chilly reception. We weren't greeted hello or asked if we needed any help and we were the only two customers in the store! Come on! Alienating your potential customers like that is just silly and bad for business.

40% of the dresses in this store could only be worn if you're a size 00. The other 60% were meh.

The worst part of this experience (as if it could get worse) was watching another woman walk into the store only to be greeted with a big smile and a hello. Way to go Le Dress.

You know that shop in Pretty Woman that Julia Roberts steps into to buy some clothes? Well, this shop is the real thing. LOL. Seriously, how do these places make any money? LOL.

My lower back was giving me hell, so I bit the bullet and searched for a chiropractor and came up with Dr. Hoberland. I called, made an appointment, and was immediately sent an appointment reminder via e-mail as well as a health assessment packet to fill out. When I got there, I didn't know what to expect as it was my first time going to a chiropractor, but Dr. Hoberland asked me some questions, did some quick neurological tests, and went to work on my back. She knew exactly what was wrong and did some adjustments. It hurt, but two days later I was as good as new. Dr. Hoberland is awesome and very efficient. If I ever need to see a chiropractor again, it will definitely be her.

Wicker Park Post Office

If I could give this place zero stars I would. The supervisor/manager at this post office is absolutely horrendous. I'm not sure how she got this job, but she should be fired immediately.

Today I went in to mail out my holiday cards and packages and as always, I avoided the clerks (since they are the most unfriendly, unhappy bunch of people I have ever come in contact with) and went straight to the automated post office machine. They should have these on every other corner and shut down the regular post offices, but that's another story for another time. In any case, I waited my turn. After a few minutes, I was up. Nobody was behind me. I start printing out the slips for my packages when another customer steps up behind. A few moments later, the supervisor comes over and attempts to intimidate me by yelling to hurry up. She asks how many packages I have left since there is a customer waiting and says this as if I'm not a customer myself. I tell her three. She then starts pulling the packing slips and tries affix them to my packages. I tell her not to do that as I don't have my address book with me and I don't want her covering the addresses. Besides, I never asked for her help and I don't take kindly to people touching my stuff. She mumbles something about efficiency and proceeds to stand over me, mean-mugging me for the last three packages instead of getting the lady behind me her stamps. How's that for efficiency?

By now my fingers are running at a million miles a minute, but the supervisor refused to move. They way she stood over me watching my every move was extremely agressive and threatening. Is this what the USPS considers good customer service? If this is how she works with other customers the USPS needs to fire her immediately. She is terrible, just awful. I've never dealt with somebody so grating and aggressive in my life. I have filed a formal complaint with USPS and will follow up with them in the next 48 hours.

If you have to mail something out, go elsewhere, like anywhere else. This post office is the worst one in Chicago by far. They need to shut this place down.

We had a Living Social voucher, so I called on Saturday to come in for brunch, but they were already full, which was understandable since I called that day. I made a reservation for Sunday at 11 and they were accommodating.

We walked in and there were three full tables, but it was filling up quickly. The phone was ringing off the hook. Several people walked in without reservations and were turned away. There were only two waiters, so we waited a bit for a waiter to come over to take our order.

The brunch menu was prix fixe. We ordered coffee. The waiter brought us a plate of pastries, which consisted of a cinnamon roll and two blueberry muffins. The blueberry muffin I had was tasty and not dry at all. I also had the butternut squash soup, which was amazing followed by the salmon hash, which was lovely. My husband had the salad and the French toast, which he liked. We ordered a side of bacon and a fruit salad. Everything was great. I was expecting a terrible experience based on the previous reviews, but it was anything but.

After the voucher, we paid $12 for our two extra sides. If there is one thing to improve on, I would say they ought to hire a host/hostess to answer the phone and turn away patrons without a reservation, so that the waiters could focus their attention on taking care of the customers. I'm sure the servers are exhausted after their shifts. It was a lovely brunch all in all.

Super nice owner contacted me, which I appreciate. And for that, a few more stars are added to my review.

I used to like this place when it was nicer. I've been here several times before today and everything has been fine. Today, when I took my son in to trick or treat, I was told by one of the co-owners or perhaps a barista, that they didn't have candy. I reminded her that it was Halloween. She said that if I asked nicely, then maybe, they would give me a cookie. Huh? Are you serious? Snarky and cheap? Everybody on Milwaukee Ave. with the exception of 7-11 gives kids candy on Halloween. It's all a part of the community. All of these good reviews must've gone to their head.  I will never go here again. I'll give my business to Filter. Show owner comment »

I came here to work so I thought I'd check it out. The music is good. I love the citrus mocha I ordered . This place is filled with fun décor like the red lockers in the back and the delorean in the window. Super sweet girls/owners working the counter. It will be on my regular list of coffee shops for sure. One tiny suggestion - the noise really bounces off the walls in this place, so if you could turn the music down that would be great!

I really wanted good things for this place, but it has a long way to go to be a success. This restaurant is always empty - always. I used to wonder why, but I don't anymore. They charge too much for what they give you. I ordered a freshly squeezed orange juice. They poured me a glass of orange juice from a Tropicana carton. Maybe they don't know what freshly squeezed means ... The truth is that I felt robbed after paying four dollars and some change for a small glass. I also came here on another occasion and ordered a can of pop and the vegetarian quesadilla's for lunch. My friend ordered a cup of tea. The bill was $19.00. And the quesadilla's were made with cheddar cheese. They were originally going to use American before I stopped them. They don't carry Chihuahua cheese. I was stunned. I don't know if they think people in the neighborhood can't tell the difference or if they don't care, but there is a huge difference between queso Chihuahua and American cheese and people can tell the difference. There are many restaurants in this area that serve great food for the same price or less. The redeeming qualities about this place are that it's good to sit and work because there is always a seat, it's quiet and the service is pretty good. The waitress/waiters are always nice and the food comes out relatively fast. If they step up their food game and charge appropriate prices, this place just might make it.

This place is great. They have serious flavors for serious tongues. What that means, I don't know. But what I'm trying to say is this place makes delicious gelato. I thought the ice cream was a little pricey for what you got, but it is good. The one drawback is the cash only thing. And it really bugs me because the closest ATM isn't that close. They should really look into getting a credit card machine. I can't believe how much business they are losing just because of that.

I heard good things about this place so this is where I chose to go for my birthday. We made a reservation for 8:15, but when we got there, they weren't ready to seat us. We decided to get a few drinks at the bar. It was packed with suits, but it seemed fun. We waited and waited and then we started to complain. A manager heard our woes and we were taken upstairs. The hostess led into an open dining room with industrial style lighting. It was beautiful. We sat on the top floor overlooking the patrons below. From the moment we sat down, the service was lovely. We were sent complementary glasses of Cava and several jumbo prawns accompanying our ceviche which was served on the half shell. We had tiny veggie pockets filled with various herbs and spices and fish baked in a dough filled pocket. It was delicious. I couldn't help, but notice was that the place was filled several older patrons. I felt like I was in the middle of a cruise ship. That being said, this is a lovely restaurant that is worth your time.

I am very disappointed. A while ago I took a dress there and got it back without the belt. I had to go back and look through a box of "left-over" accessories. The woman at the front was completely nasty. She needs a class in customer service or perhaps several. Anyway, there my belt was. I told myself I would never go back. However, my husband still takes his clothes there and convinced me to try them again. I gave him two of my dresses. I just pulled one out of the closet to wear. There are five stains on my dress. They did not clean this dress, they simply pressed it. This is absolutely ridiculous. It cost me $7.00 to "clean." I'm not sure what their idea of "clean" is, but it definitely was not. I will never take my clothes there again. This place is a rip-off.

White Glove Car Wash & Auto Appearance Center

We've been going to White Glove for five years. Nothing has ever happened to our car although we've heard the stories. Everything was fine until last Friday. We went in for a routine oil change and car wash. We had a coupon they sent us in the mail so we used it. Our total bill was about $15.00 cheaper than it normally was. Everything was fine until the following day when the car started smoking. My husband took it into our normal mechanic and he tells us that the oil cap wasn't screwed on right and oil leaked all over the engine and the wires, which needed to be replaced. We call White Glove. Luckily, we had the invoice right next to us so we give them the invoice number. They tell us that we should have brought the car back to them to fix it. I'm not sure how that makes sense. If they can't remember to screw an oil cap on, can we really trust them with fixing our car? The guy takes down the information to our mechanic and gives him a call. There was $140.00 worth of damages. A day later one of the workers calls my husband to tell him that the "owner" has a policy where he doesn't pay for damages done by his workers in cash, but in gift cards to White Glove. I guess it's better than nothing, but words cannot express how disappointed I am. Once this gift card is used up on car washes and not oil changes, we'll be bringing our business elsewhere.
