There isn't much more to say than that. Every English major, poetry reader, word absorber, linguistic and bibliophile will be happy here. I was :)
I had been randomly hunting around online for a new nail salon in my area. As much as I enjoy going to cheap salons to save a buck, my nails don't appreciate it as much as my wallet does. Tired of my nails peeling after manicures, I decided to give the lounge a try. \
Lona is a licensed nail tech that knows her stuff. She gives great manicures and I never doubt the cleanliness of her salon. I'm also pretty sure she's the only one in Watsonville who does REAL gel nails, not just a gel topcoat over acrylics. You can see some of her gel art on the website. She is super funny, so it's a great experience all around. She has a wide selection of polishes to satisfy any color-holic. Your mani will last forever too!!
The prices are good and the services here are clean. A must try for those who want great nail care. Make sure to make an appointment a little bit ahead of time as she's only in during the beginning of the week.
Juanito's Fresh Burritos is situated next to a car wash and hotel in Watsonville and has tons of parking. This location has been a few different restaurants prior to Juanito's opening, but I had never been here. The restaurant itself is pretty spacious with tons of tables and a bar area. There are signs all over for happy hours and cheap beer nights, so keep an eye out because maybe you'll want to return with friends.
Ordering itself is pretty nice because you get to see and control what goes into your burrito. I got a whole wheat tortilla to go with my barbacoa and black beans instead of the traditional refried. You have tons of options for tortillas, rice, different salsas and other fillings. This is probably the only place you could manage a "healthy" burrito and is somewhat "Chipotle-esque" in this sense. That being said, my burrito was good but not as flavorful as I was expecting. It may have been my combo choice, so I will come back to mix and match or try a quesadilla or salad.
Bottom Line: Juanito's is good and definitely worth a try. Bring friends for Coronas and build your ideal burrito.

Gelato Classico Italian Ice Cream

This gelato is pretty darn tasty. I love the wide variety of flavors, but my go tos are the peanut butter cup and the bananas foster. Yum! Everyone seems to be a huge fan of the honey lavender, but to me it smells like soap and tastes a lil too much like air freshener. To each his own!
The service here is great and the staff is more than willing to make recommendations and combo choices for you adventurous types.
Whenever I eat out in Campbell I always save room for dessert, but only if its from Gelato Classico :)

The service and the food here were fantastic. My boyfriend and I never felt neglected as we waited for our food. We shared a Siciliana salad that consisted of shaved fennel, orange slices, sweet onions and little salty bites of pecorino cheese. The salad was plenty for the both of us, especially along side those tigelle and spreads. My boyfriend got an Italian beef stew served over polenta and could not stop raving about it. Me being the salumi and cheese hound that I am ordered the S.P.Q.R. board. It is meant for two people, but I just took some home with me. I love the option of trying different cheeses and meats, along with the sauces they served with it.
I can't wait to come back here. I think it would be a lovely lunch date to sit by the window during the summer, people watching and enjoying cheese with a friend :)

This place has more than just great massage bars. It's got some fantastic soaps and bath items that I just can't get enough of. Honey I Washed the Kids is the greatest soap in my shower and the Emperor of Ice Cream buttercream plays a silky back up. The Olive oil soap is also good for those sticky summer days when you want to freshen up, be moisturized but not have to apply lotion. It moisturizes like a dream, but doesn't make you smell like an Italian kitchen.
The staff is really fun and have no problem letting you sample all the bath fizzies and shower products. They are really knowledgeable and will help you with skin care issues.
This location is rather small on the inside, so going during lunchtime might mean you have to sit outside. Your sandwich will still be brought to you with a smile and in the case of this location a song...
Random great thing about this location: They have Coke Zero. I don't do Diet Coke, so I'm pleased with their soda selection :)
I'm glad this place has a theme each month so that you're not always stuck with the same 3 kinds of soup and pastas. The chili here is my usual and the cornbread with honey butter is the greatest thing ever. I have to resist the urge to steal the whole tray. The different types of focaccia are pretty decent, but I usually tend to skip on the pastas unless something looks particularly interesting when I'm there.
There's a plethora of drinks. So indulge the crazy kid in you and mix and match flavors. Dessert is pretty standard, but it is nice to just have a simple soft serve ice cream after all the food you eat. This location is super clean and well kept. Careful not to sit in the side room because the A.C. is usually pretty jacked.

I usually go the gelato road when I come here. I'm a pb and chocolate kinda girl, but when they don't have that I like the creme brulee gelato. They're all well flavored and creamy, but nothing like you get in Italy *sigh*
The service here is always friendly and prompt. I do have a little punch card, that I'll hopefully fill up soon! Maybe I'll try some fro yo soon.

As you can see, my main reason for visiting El Palomar is the taco bar and why they get 4 stars. The cantina/bar area in the back is nice as well, but I usually avoid the restaurant itself, especially when I can get cheaper nibbles just by shifting over a room.
I really enjoy their carne asada tacos and actually have venture to try their scallop one as well. The carne asada is consistently good, but I have received scallops that had the consistency of a pencil eraser, so be careful.
The margaritas are well blended and lovely when it's hot out. The last few times I've been was on a Sunday or Monday and the bar was having an NFL night. Beers and margs where much cheaper and they had cheaper apps, like sliders, jalapeno poppers, etc.
