This has a lot of the qualities of a 4 or 5 star restaurant... great atmosphere, outdoor seating and delicious food.
Sadly though, even though I left with a stomach full of amazing food I felt disappointed. Our service was very poor and the food was, as mentioned by most, a bit overpriced. We only saw our server twice the whole time. Once to take our order and once to leave our checks. He forgot to bring our chips and salsa. After 15 minutes of waiting to even see our server we finally flagged down another one and it was at our table nearly immediately. My water sat empty most of the time we were there as well. It was busy, but not that busy. The other servers seemed to be doing a great job waiting on their tables, so that's no excuse for the lack of attentiveness.
Maybe I'm crazy, but if I'm paying 19 bucks for some pork, rice and tortilla shells I expect better service.
As for the food... We started off with the chips and salsa (albeit a bit late). When it comes to salsa, most mexican restaurants have a watery mess that tastes like crushed up tomatoes mostly, with a hint of cilantro and peppers... but at Nada, their salsa is almost like a puree. It's got a decent amount of heat and kind of a smokey taste to it. I could see myself having a few beers and chips and salsa and being completely satiated. For my meal I got the Pork Green Chile with a fried egg on top. It was absolutely fantastic and a decent size portion, though I would have liked a few more tortillas. The rice that came with it was amazing too.
Service = 1 star
Food = 5 stars
Overall = 3 stars
I'll definitely try again and hope for a better experience because the food is just that good, but I'm not likely to return again if it turns out that poor service is the norm and not the exception.

The decor has a late 90's kitsch that isn't trying too hard to be cool, like many restaurants and bars in the area. Montgomery Inn shows it's heritage of sports and entertainment stars with memorabilia on the walls with pride. It doesn't have to create fake atmosphere with reproduction vintage signs and art because between the food and the spectacular view of the river, who really cares that the tables and chairs look a little dated?
The service...
I usually eat upstairs in the bar area when I go here. I find it's a bit more relaxed than the main dining room. Just last week I went with a friend and we ate at the bar. The service was a bit sluggish at first, but we were there fairly late and it looked like the servers were focusing on their clean up duties for the end of the night. As someone who has worked in food service before, I definitely don't hold that against someone, as long as it doesn't impact my dining experience. We eventually we got into some small talk with the bartender and made for a very enjoyable evening.
When the food showed up, my friend's steak was markedly overcooked. He told the bartender who apologized very genuinely and had another sent to the kitchen immediately. I expected him to comp part of the meal or the drinks, as is customary in the situation. To my surprise, and the delight of my friend, they comped the whole steak. His bill was only for the salad and a soda. That's well over and above what was necessary.
Between taking care to make sure the customers are happy and the delicious ribs, this places definitely gets 4 stars from me.
