I mostly feel compelled to write a good review because so many people seem so ticked simply about the price of the delivery fees & tip. Yes, it cost me a total of about $12 to get about $45 worth of food delivered (delivery charge + tip), but it was from a restaurant that doesn't deliver otherwise. In some cases, it costs me $12 just to *get* to a restaurant. This service saves you time and makes it so you don't have to leave the house. For me, it was worth it.

If there were any drawback, it is that the food showed up *too* quickly (30 minutes instead of their estimated hour). The friend that I had invited over for dinner hadn't shown up yet by the time the food arrived!

P.S. In my experience, the 15% tip was only on the food, not on the tax. Maybe they changed since some of the other reviews were posted.

Extensive gluten-free menu, including not only sushi, but *sandwiches* and *pizza*. But, it's a separate menu, so you have to ask. If you're really sensitive, you probably don't need to worry, as the owner himself is gluten-free.

Things must have changed quite a bit since the other reviews mentioning gluten were written about this place. They now have a dedicated gluten-free menu, which is an enormous plus in my book. Though - not being super sensitive myself - I can't speak for how diligent or careful they are with cooking things gluten-free.

Besides that huge leg-up, the tapas were good, and the sangria didn't seem to have any alcohol in it.

They have gluten-free food, and they don't f*ck around about it either. The owner's wife is so sensitive, she'll be in the ER if there's so much as flour in the air. So, the GF food is prepped in a kitchen on a separate floor. I had lamb kabob on a gluten-free pita from Rose's bakery, and it was thoroughly good.

This was great for what I went for: an escape from a Chicago winter. It was damn hot in the steam room here: it felt as if my hair was going to burst into flames.

I gave the cashier 20 bucks, and I got a key to a locker, and a little bottle of soap. I opened my locker and there were two (pretty musty smelling) towels in there. I took off my clothes, wrapped a towel around myself, put on my flip-flops (thanks Vito, for reminding me!) and headed into the steam room. I sat in there for about 15 minutes. Then I came out of the steam room, took a dip in the really cold pool, sat down for a bit, went back into the steam room, and repeated. I was in and out of the place in less than an hour and felt very refreshed.

Yes, there is a tremendous amount of bare old-man ass here. You would probably look a little strange if you walked around here in a bathing suit. And no, it's not a gay thing: this place seems to be mostly old-school Ukrainian, Polish, and Russian clientele. There is a feeling of establishment here and it seems like everyone knows each other. If you're going for your first time, you'll probably feel a bit of an outsider.

Flash Cab

I made a reservation for 8am this morning for a cab so my business partner and I could go to a big "pitch" meeting.

At 8am, Flash Cab called and said "we're running late. someone will call you with an ETA."

Fortunately, we had allowed extra time, and even more fortunately, we managed to hail a cab - because they finally called us, to give us the ETA, at 8:27am. Almost half an hour after our reservation.

It was a snowy morning, but this is unacceptable for a reserved cab. Fortunately we made it to the meeting on time.

GREAT idea. But if you go there with a sinus infection, looking for antibiotics, you may be disappointed.

I appreciated the explanation, but the practitioner explained to me before the appointment, that they are very cautious about giving out antibiotics. Unless you have had symptoms for at least two weeks, they can't guarantee that they'll give out antibiotics. I opted not to risk the $59 and tough it out one more week.

I understand the apprehension, but I get sinus infections about twice a year, and as many things as I try, I never manage to kick them without antibiotics. After hearing this information, she was still not convinced that I would need them.

Like I say, I appreciated the disclaimer, but I hope this will keep someone else from wasting their time/money.

Day 1

- Yes.

Day 2

+ Do you normally have moussaka?
- Yes.

Fortunately, they eventually had moussaka. It was pretty dece. I go here often because it's really close to my office. When I want to torture my office mates, I bring in a Gyro from here. The fragrance causes them to go buy one for themselves. And they hate me for that.

I like the 105 degree heat, but I felt more like I was in an aerobics class than a Yoga class. The instructor was clapping, and saying things like "if it hurts, it's supposed to" and "don't take breaks - just fake it 'til you make it." I'm pretty sure she forced someone to do a pose, with no regard for any physical limitations they might have (I was in a pose, so couldn't see what was going on, but I did hear her say "don't make that face" to the person as she ordered them to attempt the pose).

It was a disgrace to Yoga. This must be why they call it "The McYoga."

Holy cow, these guys are awesome. They tore the roof off of the Chicago Short Video and Film Festival last night. My favorites are "Scatterbrained," "Naked," "Le Arthouse Theatre: The Fugitive," and "How Not to Interview," the short done for http://WorkAustin.com.

Watch out for them to be totally famous some day soon.
