The deep fried zucchini blossom filled with ricotta cheese was not bad but a bit on the salty side. If you feel like a refreshing dish, try their gazpacho soup.
Only complaints I have is the price and seating arrangement. It's a fast-food resto set up but the portion was pretty small for the price ($25 for one entree and one appetizer). Indoor seating is limited (3 tables) but there's plenty of outdoor seating at the sidewalk and patio.
All in all, it's a good experience. I will come back to try the ale flavored shrimps.
4 star for chicken on a stick.
This place makes excellent northern Chinese food and they specialize in lamb dishes. They also offer the same items as 818 Shao kao. The prices are pretty reasonable. Most of the skewers are $1~$1.5. Skewer combo is $5 each. Rice plates and noodles are $6-7. The prices of house special dishes vary and the most expensive item is probably the spicy grilled fish with Chines pickles ($25.99) and Genghis Khan style roasted lamb leg ($25 for small and $35 for large). I will come back to try the lamb stew and skewers.
A couple of facts I thought might be useful to yelpers:
1. The English name of the restaurant has nothing to do with its Chinese name, which may be loosely translated to "Hungry Cat". Ning Jie is the name of the restaurant owner.
2. Though they serve some pretty good beer food, they don't serve alcohol. So BYOB.
3. No credit card accepted at this moment. Cash only.

Drinks and snacks are okay. My only complaint was the smoking part. We moved to a different table to avoid sitting next to customers who smoked but it was hard to stay away from it since we preferred outdoor seating.

We went there on a Friday morning around 9:30 and there was no wait for a table! I loved the poached eggs over fresh farm vegetables and just the right portion for my morning appetite. But if you want something more filling, you might want to order the Green Eggs (like eggs benedict) or get pastry on the side.
They serve Art of Tea, which is of pretty good quality. I had the mint tea and loved it.

The overall management of Urban Dog was ok. They are busy most of the time and the kennel (green zone) could get a bit crowded. It's hard for the staff to pay attention to every dog when the kennel is that busy. So chances are some dogs might not be corrected timely when they are rough with other dogs. Unlike Healthy Spot, they don't give you a "good" report when you pick up your dog. They usually tell you something general like "he/she had a great time", but no info about if your dog makes any friends, eats/drinks/eliminates or other noticeable social behavior. Hygiene wise, the facility looks clean but my dogs did come home smell pee and poo.
Web cam is a plus so you can see for yourself. Overall, it's the convenience factor that makes me go back there. For dog owners who want to give it a try, I recommend calling ahead and making an appointment. It's not that they are not open to walk-ins but they might turn you away if they happen to be busy. That happened to me and I had to go back the next day, which was not a biggie since I live close by. They offer a day of free daycare so they can evaluate your dog and you can see how your dog do there, which is helpful.
For some reason, my dogs always come home very thirsty. I think it's because the water buckets they have are not easily accessible for small dogs. So make sure you dog get plenty of water before and after.
