Wait, they got rid of their amazing Baked Alaska???  WHY?  It was the best in the city!

I've been to Marea a few times since my first review and it is just perfect.  We end up skipping the rip-off crudos and getting the amazing 4-course menu.  I dream about that octopus fusilli and my husband frequently mentions the uni&crab spaghetti.  It's a beautiful, special occasion place. It's my current favorite restaurant in NYC.

I had such high expectations for Marea and while it was good, it wasn't a 5 star experience.  The crudo was extremely average and wildly overpriced.  But the octopus pasta was pretty out of this world.  I'm not into sea urchin but my husband LOVED the pasta with sea urchin.  Good meal, but not as great as I imagined it would be.  I enjoyed Convivio, its sister restaurant, more.

I wanted to love this place but I'm so not into the whole nan-bread-as-crust phenomenon in pizza.  I like a crispy crust and this just wasn't it.  The whole deep-fried thing seemed gimmicky too.  I couldn't tell the difference between the deep-fried crust I got and the regular one my husband ordered.  Just a-ok.

This is not a sushi place, in case you did not know (we didn't).  It's an authentic, delicious Japanese food spot.  Get the Kaiseki and enjoy.

Been there for lunch a few times since my last review and I have to note that they make the greatest eggplant parm hero of all time.  And that's really saying something in a city full of great eggplant parm sandwiches.  They add an egg on top of it which makes it just incredibly creamy.  A must-eat.

As good as everyone tells you.  The place is beautiful, the pastas are cooked perfectly, I would come back here whenever I was asked.

We got two of their cakes to go.  It's a good thing they changed their name because neither cake was the best ever.  But they were find, totally a-ok.  Didn't have a bad experience with the employee either, as other reviewers seemed to, nice and friendly and helpful.

Why, G-d, why have I never had Korean fried chicken before?  Bon Chon has been in my bookmarks forever and I finally got some.  It was unreal.  Crispy and delicious, I plan to eat this twice a week forever.

A beautiful space and perfect food.  Everyone talks about the toro tartare and it was as good as everyone says.  The service was a little spacey but I can't even remove a star for it because the food was so well done.  We had the omakase, which was terrific, but we might order individual dishes next time.

I got a manicure here.  It was fine.  BUT, their nailpolish is from like 1994, complete with vamp by Chanel, and none of the new (and I mean like from the last 5 years) Essie colors.  If you want Chinchilly or something, bring your own.

Incredibly average food with decent service and a nice beer selection.  If you're at Chelsea Market and everywhere else has a long wait, this is your spot.
