For sure one of SF's best venues. I've seen about a dozen shows here and am still impressed by the ability to see the acts and the quality audio system.

Delicious! The house smoked salmon on egg was by far our favorite. The artichoke rice with cream sauce was nice, very rich and creamy. The chickpea fries were perfectly fried.

For dinner I had the fried oyster and bacon sandwich. I must have missed where it says the sandwich comes with chips, cause I also got a side of chips to start.

The bartender forgot about me, and I patiently waited for about 5 mins. When she realized she forgot about me, my drink was on the house. Service doesn't get better than that.

You gotta be ready to go here. You'll sit at a big round table next to a mother and her 8 year old, and two old men with 4 inch grey hairs growing out of the moles on their faces. The floor is grimey, the chairs still have bubble wrap from the factory but it's now black with filth.
The dim sum is big, cheap, and there's plenty of variety. I wish there was a tad more seating (communal or not).

If you're not looking for it, you may miss it among all the happenings on polk street. Nevertheless it's a fun bar to dive into.

I only bought some soup spoons, but the selection of kitchen equipment (mainly but not limited to the asian variety) is fantastic.
My NY steamed pastrami sandwich was off the heezy. Got a small soup to go with, delicious.
