I am astounded by the prices at this place.  It looks just like all the super expensive establishments, has food that's just as good, but the prices are well below what I'm used to.   I got the fruit de mare for $12.  While the plate was a little smaller than some places, it was more than enough to feed me (and I was starving).  The wine is also reasonably priced, and, although not fantastic, is a bang for the buck for what it is.  I definitely recommend this place if you're on a budget.  You'll get more charm and flavor for your dollar than you're used to.  A pleasant surprise indeed!

I really wanted a fancier dinner the night I went here, but by the end of my meal boy was I glad we'd ended up in this place!  I got the baked lamb with eggplant puree.  It was one of the most succulent meals I've had in Manhattan, and for the price?  GEEZ!  Best of all this place is a true BYOB.  Meaning that you can really have an exquisite dining experience within a budget.  Will go back very soon.  There's just no reason not to.

This place was the Jesus Christ of my stomach and my palate for the first four visits.  I received exceptional service that left me glowing with love and appreciation for other people who value the farm to table way of eating.  They gave me the best rose I've ever had.  Since then, I have not found one that compared.

However, the last time I was there my food was really off.  Specifically the cheese plate and olives I got were incredibly dull.  Very surprising considering how out of sight everything else is.  Must return to debunk this fluke incident!

Great pizza, but was infuriated to see that even out in Bucshwick the 'half glass empty' cocktail trick is taking place.  I ordered a $15 cocktail.  I try to avoid doing that usually, especially at brunch (whoops).  When I received the cocktail it was in a small glass only filled half way.  It literally looked like someone drank the first half of my cocktail.  I've seen some establishments in Manhattan do this, but come on, we can't bring this practice to Brooklyn.  It's a $15 cocktail people.  $15!  You can get a dress at Forever 21 at that price.

In the defense of Roberta's, I really should have said something.  They deserve to know that this will not fly.  The only reason I didn't speak up was because I could tell my guests from out of town didn't want any trouble.  Next time though, next time.

I ate dinner here last night.  As a result of my good experience, I decided to make myself some pizza this morning (yes, this process started at 8am).

I went here with a friend and we were quoted at a 45 minute wait.  We went to the back area and had a beer.  Not much time passed before we were called into the huge dining room.

Our server was super nice!  I went over the menu and the wine list with her, and she made great suggestions.  We ordered a bottle of wine, the magherita (9), and the Crispy Glover which comes with
tomato, taleggio, guanciale, onion, breadcrumbs, chili flake (15).  The first thing we noticed was how awesome the wine was.  I can't remember the variety, but it was both fruity and dry (delicious).

The margherita came out first.  It was sensational.  Slightly burnt, and cheese and sauce focused.  Maybe I was too drunk by then to realize the details, because all I kept thinking was "YES".  Same thing for the Crispy Glover.  Cheese, onion, and bacon oh my!  Such a good combo of pizzas to get.  We got a pizza more focused on cheese, and one on sauce.  Roberta's has both down.

Can't wait to check it out again!

If you're trying to find an authentic NOLA meal, I wouldn't go here.  I was visiting from New York and this place just reminded me of well..a restaurant in New York (expensive with fru fru decor).  I enjoyed the rabbit and dumplings, but the rest of the meal was really nothing exceptional.  Not bad, but not really good either.

Heaven is in a burger, but even their house salad is incredible.  One of those places that reminds me that food CAN be good in New York, you just have to know where to go.

Hands down most mediocre meal of my life. Only took an hour to come out of the kitchen!  Don't be fooled by the cozy vibes. It tastes like bad express Chinese food. Whatever you do run!

Beautiful drinks served in a wide, minimalist atmosphere.  There is both seating and plenty of standing room.  My favorite drink was called the Opera.  It had whiskey, but had a lightly creamy mouth feel -- without any cream.  It was divine and perfect.

This is really the perfect place to have a party.  The space is big, and you can mingle to your heart's content.  I will probably have my birthday here.

One of the best meals I've had in Brooklyn.  It's small plates, but fortunately every small plate is bigger than the average place you'd be used to.  Utterly phenom.

We had

Scallop Ceviche
Steaks (little steaks I forget the name)
Pig ear (the most memorable)
Caulifolower
Brussell sprouts
and many more!

Small plates were never so good.
